This location gets full on five stars from me for being a solid lunch option. The quality is consistent, the value is good, and they even offer delivery. No problems placing phone orders, always friendly and helpful employees on the other end of the line. Lunch specials are available, ask for details. I have always liked Cecil’s salads and pizza. This location is a winner in my book.

I eat at this location about once a week and have no problems with it. The only other location I’ve gone to steadily before(CWE) it is light years ahead of. Cleaner, spacier(more than two chairs to eat there), service a million times better, and even a couple arcade games. The previous review is incorrect. Cecil’s of course uses provel cheese. On everything. And that is why it is great. Sandwiches, pizza, salads are all awesome. I love the chef salad with thousand island. Can eat it just about every day. Even when I’m eating healthy a smaller one I believe is under 500 calories and fairly filling. If you want the best St. Louis style pizza go to Imo’s, or maybe one of the non-chains like Farotto’s around. Cecil’s is basically a response to Imo’s being full of themselves and charging way too much for a thin crust pizza. It is a much better for-your-buck buy than Imo’s, but is still an inferior pizza. Still they have amazing specials every day(XLBOGO for instance), so if you aren’t a provel-hater this is a good place for a meal and this location is way better than CWE.

So this is the other STL pizza chain that everyone talks about(Imo’s being the original). First impression: major lack of anything worth noting as being different from Imo’s to an outsider(which I am). Seems to be the same exact menu and food, minus the PROVEL cheese this city is known for. Toasted Ravioli: good, but not different to be special. Pizza, the Deluxes(same name as Imo’s) is good, but not special. thin crust is lighter than the other, and that is something different. Verdict? From an outsider’s point of view, it is not worth a special trip but if you are hungry and are near one, stop in. This one location is in a very cute old neighborhood.
