I was lucky enough to be able to lunch at Bixby’s both Wednesday 2⁄4 and Monday 1⁄31. The service is a little on the slow side(but very good and attentive nonetheless) and the quality of the food(and the great view) makes up for any lack. The chicken pot stickers are smothered in fresh kale and a kimchi that has the perfect blend of sweet and hot. The burger on an English muffin was cooked to perfection(and very differently for each of our party ordering it). The tart with sweet potatoes and winter vegetables was delicious. The only problem is that there isn’t room for desert… and the ones I saw going to other tables looked like I will be changing to a lighter fare on my next visit.

Sunday brunch was disappointing for the price. Not many breakfast type options. The eggs Benedict and crêpe off the menu were uneditable. Free champagne and the view was nice. I have been here for lunch which was quite good, brunch not so much.

Everything was delicious especially the Eggs Benedicts: traditional and the vegetarian option with a kohlrabi cake. Other standouts were the roasted beets and finally the bread pudding. Service was respectfully unhurried.

Great brunch with an outstanding menu! The Bellini choices alone make this place a standout. Love the complimentary champagne, and the selection for your omelets are unreal! My clear cut favorite was the shrimp risotto, it was a delicious spin on your grandmothers fish and grits! We will definitely be back!

The first time we came here for Sunday brunch, they had unlimited champagne that came with your brunch. The food was«meh» but at least there was a lot of champagne going around. The second time we came here, there was no longer unlimited champagne(you only receive 1 complimentary glass). The eggs benedict was very mediocre and there weren’t a lot of food options for $ 27/person. I don’t think I will be coming back.

We found this gem while taking our first walk in Forest Park. It is close to Wash U and located on 2nd floor of the History Museum. Beautiful view of the park. Food was very good(Artichoke soup, Ham and chutney crostini, prosciutto and grilled chicken sandwich). Server was friendly and attentive.

Sunday brunch: Not many options for the price. Try the express menu by walking straight from the elevator to the counter. Avoid the Sunday brunch.

Went for Sunday Brunch with friends. Great meal and service. I use a knee walker to get around. Tables and chairs positioned for easy access to food. Liked the menu items that you ordered from the server and then item brought to table when ready so I didn’t have to get up and go to the buffet. The menu items were included in the price of the buffet and we got a complimentary glass of champagne or sparkling grape juice. Everyone had a good time and really enjoyed the food.

Been a while since we’ve been there but the last two times we were seated away from the windows even though there were several tables empty by the windows and remained that way throughout our brunch. One couple who were seated after us complained but were apparently told the tables were already reserved. They saw one table leaving and was able move to that one with some not so friendly discussion with the hostess. My point is, why not seat first come first serve? I would happily sit away from the windows if all the window tables were taken. We’ll try it one more time and voice my displease if it happens a third time to the host/hostess

Good food — I would give it 3.5 stars if o could, but rounding up because of the view and the service. Definitely recommend this for anyone visiting The History Museum. Nice menu variety — I had the salmon entrée and it was delicious. My wife had the chicken and pear monte cristo — good. Mom had the kale salad with add-on salad — also good. This was the 2nd time we had eaten at the museum. The first time we are in the casual café, and that was good too(I believe it’s all the same kitchen cooking for the casual café and the fancier restaurant. Both spots are worthwhile — it just depends how much time you have. Try it out!

I wish I could’ve liked this place because the scenery and venue were promising. Sadly, the food left much to be desired. The options weren’t all that great to begin with, half our table opted for items at the express café down the hall. The food came over 40 minutes past when we ordered it and the burgers weren’t cooked how we specified. I might be back, but it’ll be for the actual museum, definitely not for this restaurant.

The appetizers were very strange, almost inedible. Food was decent but overpriced.

This was almost perfect, except that the zucchini in my quinoa salad was nearly raw — ok for shreds, but these were big hunks and un-chewable. The salmon was lovely, as were my dining companions’ meals. Our server, Morgan, was sweet and attentive.

I loved this place. We just wanted a snack or small lunch, and this was the place. It has a great view of the park and a great atmosphere. We had the chilled soup and the veggies and pita… it was so refreshing and delicious. I must find out how to make that soup!

We used to love this place when it opened and dined there for all our special occasions. Alas, it is no longer but a shadow of its former self. The reasons we were disappointed include: * Entrée portions barely big enough for a five-year-old. * Virtually nothing on the plate except for the meat. * We asked for the meat to be well done. What we got was meat that was charred on the outside, raw on the inside. * When I complained about the meat, it took them 20 minutes to reheat and bring me back the SAME piece of meat instead of a new dish. This was insulting and ridiculous. * The chips tasted rancid. The frying oil should have been changed a long time ago. * Service was extremely slow even though there were very few customers. * Manager just came up with excuses about the executive chef not being there and not having good staff in the kitchen. She did not even attempt to make things right to make sure we came back to give the place another chance. * The waitress handled the glasses by the rim. You learn your first day on the job as a waitress not to do that. It felt like everybody at this restaurant had given up. After this experience, we will never go back. I guess if you wanted to enjoy the view and have something to drink, this place would be OK. For a meal, definitely not.

My husband, my daughter and I all thoroughly enjoyed the Easter Champagne Brunch. Everything we tried was delicious. Great food, great service, great coffee and a beautiful view of Forest Park. We’re thinking we’re going to make this event our new Easter tradition.

Our first visit for the brunch will not be our last, excellent team service from all staff, great view and an unhurried dining experience. Plenty of food and plenty of choices. My favorites included the roast beef, the Belgian waffle and the quiche. Coffee was discreetly refilled, all staff were knowledgeable, polite, and professional. I work in the service industry and this team was on point. Reservations with Open Table worked perfectly and we were seated in minutes of arrival.

Had the champagne bring here, really enjoyed it. For $ 26, you get a glass of champagne and as much food as you can possibly eat. They have a buffet with tons of salads, fruits, breakfast meats as well as lunch meals(e.g. Bacon, sausage, BBQ chicken thighs, NY strip sliced and), and desserts. On top of that you can order from the made to order menu, I had the maple Belgium waffle and eggs Benedict. I wasn’t impressed with the eggs Benedict, but the bread pudding that we shared for dessert was amazing. They also have a build your own omelette station! The service is pretty quick and you get a beautiful view of the park. Great place for a special occasion brunch!
