$ 2.69 for warm OJ, terrible biscuits and gravy, stale potatoes and a very small amount, Mediterranean omelette that was about 50% feta cheese, burnt toast. This was not a good experience!

Service was fast and friendly. We both ordered the skillets and they were huge. Very good food and again great service!!!

We’ve had several good breakfasts here but not today. The blueberry pancakes had no blueberries in them(there were a few sprinkled on top) and were burned on the bottom. The mushroom and cheese omelet was also burned. The service was slow and we could overhear the owner berating a server in the kitchen. I gave them two stars instead one for past acceptability.

I love breakfast and Affton Diner does it right! The location itself was a little tricky to find and it is located in a strip mall, but I am so glad we found it. We arrived a little after 11 on a Sunday and were able to find a table for two. As soon as we sat down we were brought over coffee and water(we didn’t even have to ask)! The restaurant is definitely cozy and there are probably 11 – 12 tables total which means the place will fill up quickly, but we lucked out by finding a table when we did. Our server came over and took our orders. I ordered blueberry pancakes and a side of biscuits(I always try biscuits when I go out to eat). The bf ordered some kind of egg dish. As we were waiting food was coming out of the kitchen and everything looked delicious and smelled great! There were 3 servers working the floor that day and each of them made sure we were taken care of my refillin gout coffee and water when needed. They were all friendly and I could tell they enjoyed their jobs because they got to chat with customers! By the time our food came out I was starving, there was a little bit of a wait… but that’s okay because the kitchen is small and there is really only 1 grill I think so it is going to take time to cook each order. My pancakes looked great and the biscuits were grilled and pressed with butter-so good! Throughout our meal we noticed that the other diners were just as pleased as we were. By the end of the rush the kitchen was able to slow down and the owner came out to check on tables and make sure we were all doing okay. The owner was also the guy on the grill so he was woring his butt off for us! I was impressed that he found the time to mingle wiht customers! Overall, I really liked Affton Diner and I will be going back. It’s a cozy mom & pop place and they know how to make a good breakfast!

I can’t speak for their lunch menu, AWESOME for breakfast! Maybe ten tables, turnover is fairly quick. The wait staff is always friendly. The owner Jonathan is the cook. When the storm of the kitchen calms down he is often out and chatting with his customers. I’m pretty lucky since this little gem is right around the corner from me. :)

The only thing wrong with this place is that it isn’t big enough! If you want to meet with more than 2 or 3 others you would probably want to call ahead. We always had the same waitress and she is wonderful. The food is great and the portions are huge and the prices are cheap… what more could you ask for?

Go here for SOLID meal. Johnathan will take care of you and you will be treated like family. Food is excellent and priced affordably. You won’t leave hungry. So good and still family dining. All fresh food, no frozen/reheat food.

This is my favorite breakfast spot in St. Louis. I drive from Fenton to Aftton just for their french toast and corned beef hash! My coffee cup is never empty and your food is always fresh!

This was a great stop for breakfast. The omeletes were huge and worth every penny. The other person in my party enjoyed a breakfast skillet that would have fed multiple people. All at an extremely affordable price. The potatoes were hand cut and cooked perfectly. I had onions added to mine, but they offer more additions if you like. The restaurant is small, but the portion are not! The servers were very nice the whole time, and we even got to meet the person I assume was the owner, who came out after cooking our meal to ensure everything was great. Since it is a small place we heard several people complimenting the food here. Make sure to stop by and try this one.

Ate breakfast there once and that was enough. One friend got pancakes and said they were terrible. Meanwhile, my eggs bacon and hash browns were swimming in grease. After blotting what I could I tasted them and they weren’t good. The service was poor also. There are two better places to eat breakfast at in Affton and others with better lunch/dinners. Don’t waste your time with this place.

For a small-town diner, Affton Diner wins! I was just in here today, and had an amazing meal with my family. I’ve been eating at Affton Diner for about 3 years, if you’re not familar with Affton and the Bevo Mill area, a large percentage of the population is Bosnian. Affton Diner, is too is owned by Bosnians(I believe so) and who knows how to make better cevapi and doner than the Bosnians! I’m not Bosnian, but I lived there for a few years, and I can vouch that the food here is just as awesome. It’s definitely a small location, but it’s often not too busy on the inside, as most of the customers do carry-out because they live close by. It’s super clean, and there’s also a little Bosnian store to the side so you can buy random groceries here and there. It’s owned by an older lady, who is superrr nice. Defiitely worth checking out if you want some great cevapi, doner, or other bosnian foods. ALSO — Just caught this! The review by Linda W, MUST be wrong, or must be a different affton diner(I believe the old eat rite on lindbergh also renamed itself to affton diner) I think this for a few reasons: The owner is an older woman, and the staff is nothing short of incredibly nice, helpful, studious, and quick. Nor, is there a wait to sit down at a table. If you walk into this place and just stand there they’re going to look at you funny because it’s obviously a sit-yourself– type of diner. [as is any diner, right?] The owner also does most of the cooking /serving and everything, i think her relatives may help out from time to time too. The food Linda mentions on the menu is definitely not even served at Affton Diner(its all doner, cevapi, hamburger, basic stuff) so – eggs, omlets, etc, I know aren’t on there.

Typically, we eat at the restaurant next door, Best Breakfast and Burger, for our Sunday breakfast sometimes, but the wait was long, so my husband suggested eating at the Affton Diner instead. Little did we know how much we would later regret not just waiting for a table there. Once inside, we waited for the bus girl to clean two tables before we could be seated. There was another couple standing behind us, and we both waited for five to ten minutes before the table was cleared. The other couple decided not to wait and had already left. Smart move! We sat down and it took another five to ten minutes or more to get two cups of water. When we looked over the menu, we noticed the similarities between it and Best Breakfast and Burger. They both offer a Popeye and Mediterranean Omelet. That’s were the similarities ended. After we placed our order, we waited at least 30 minutes or more before getting our food. In the process, the two guys behind us got up and left, after waiting forever to get served. At one point, the manager or owner came out, instructing the poor bus girl to stop clearing tables and to bring water to the other tables. Meanwhile, we could both hear him yelling at his staff in the kitchen. It’s a small space, and there’s only a flimsy wall dividing the kitchen from the dining area, and we could hear him verbally abuse his staff. When our order came out, my husband’s eggs were cooked incorrectly, and my toast was hard and overdone. The server offered to correct it, but my husband did not want to wait, so he said it was fine and he would just eat the order as is. After getting a fresh batch of toast, I took a few forkfuls of my «Cheese Farmer Skillet,» and the ham tasted like SPAM. The rest of it tasted overcooked. It had a weird, nasty taste that I could not pinpoint or shake. Meanwhile, my husband’s sausage was so hard and overcooked that he could barely cut it. The blueberry pancakes were a joke. They were bland, and it looked like someone had just placed a handful of blueberries in the middle of the pancake. The pancake at the bottom was half the size and oddly shaped. Finally, we decided that we couldn’t take it any more and requested our bill. We told them that the food tasted awful, after waiting for an hour. The manager/owner came up to the register, asking if we did not like our food, and we told him that it was terrible, and then my husband told him that he also did not like the way he talked to his staff. He said that he was understaffed today, trying to make up excuses for his behavior. Our server along with the bus girl even told us that we should not have to pay for it since we were so dissatisfied after waiting an hour for our food. I agreed! However, my husband was too nice and paid for it anyway. Afterwards, the manager/owner told the server to give us one of his cards, saying the next time breakfast would be on him. We politely refused and told them that we will never be back. We would rather wait an hour for food at Best Breakfast and Burger. Apparently, a server quit there today, forcing the manager/owner to call the bus girl in to act as a semi-server, even though she had no training to do so. All the while, he kept yelling at her and the server, along with probably the cooks in the kitchen. I can see why his employees would be quitting after the verbal abuse. He would yell at the bus girl to not clear tables, then he would yell at her some more to clear them, only shortly before potential customers would walk out because they didn’t want to wait indefinitely for a table. We will never be back. Spare yourself the disgusting food, terrible service, and manager/owner who does not know how to treat his staff or customers. If you’re in the area, just do yourself a favor and go to Best Breakfast and Burger. Otherwise, you’ll end up at QT, getting a big soda and donut holes to wash your mouth of the taste of overcooked, funky tasting, nasty food. It will put you in a foul mood untli your next meal. Actually, eating a Pop Tart would have tasted better.

We stumbled across this place and what a surprise! We had breakfast and the serving was absolutely huge! I didn’t know I was that hungry until I realized I had only 2 more bites left! Get one of the breakfast skillets. You can’t go wrong!
