Just had my 4 year anniversary photo shoot with Mike and it was wonderful! He was very accommodating for us having no clue as to where to go to take the pictures, we ended up doing pretty much everything we wanted (urban, forest, meadow and beach). The few pictures that I saw thus far were gorgeous! Especially the sunset ones! I cannot wait to see the final products! I highly recommend Mike for engagement/​wedding photography.

Mike Larson was the photographer for both our engagement and wedding. We were so impressed with not only the quality of the photography but also his desire to invest in us as people. For our engagement photos, he took us all around the central coast to our favorite spots and encouraged us to bring things that represented us and our relationship — a very personal touch in photography. He and his wife spent the afternoon with us and invested in us as a couple and we still look back, after 3 years, and think of the fond memories that day had.
During our wedding, both Mike and his wife were photographing the event. They were extremely thorough and paid attention to each detail that made our wedding special. We also received a beautiful album designed by the Mike Larson team that captured every bit of our wedding day. We are so pleased and would definitely use him for any other event desiring a photography. We couldn’t be more pleased and we tell all of our friends the same.

I just wanted to say that I am quite impressed with Mike Larson’s response to this incident. And I should also clarify that Mike Larson was not directly involved with event I referenced in my first review.
Not only did Mike Larson publicly take responsibility for the actions of his colleagues, but he also has made great efforts to talk to me directly about this event. I am heartened to hear the actions of members of his team do not reflect his personal beliefs.

Mike Larson Rocks. I guarantee you that you will not find a better photographer. You may find those that can take beautiful shots just like Mike but I can’t imagine finding one that is as down to earth, sincere and passionate about their work.
Mike and his Wife Rachel are a young hip couple that have left all the pretension behind. Even though they fly all over the world to photograph people and their milestones, they are very humble and thankful for everything in life.
I truly feel blessed to have worked with them on my most special day. Not only was their presence unobtrusive, they were seamless as a team and brought such a positive energy to our event.

Mike has the kind of positive energy that draws you in, he brings an Aloha spirit to his work and is truly a pleasure to be around. Never selfish, always creative and ever so generous. He really worked with us to make our event exactly what we wanted it to be.
On top of that, they have a wonderful staff. His wife Rachel, who is probably his Boss in disguise ;-) is also a great photographer and just great to be around.
I have recently been working with his album designer, Chloe, and she is great too. She has made the most beautiful album for us and makes me so comfortable to make changes to the layout and to fine tune the album to EXACTLY what I want.
I haven’t heard a single breath of frustration or impatience from her, she has taken the time to listen to me and as I mentioned, make me feel comfortable to ask for what I really want.
Your wedding is one of the biggest milestones in your life, at the end of the day, the month, the year, you have your memories and your photos — invest wisely. Memories fade and blur but pictures can last a life time. Your day only happens once (hopefully)… Choose wisely when it comes to the person helping you remember that day for the rest of your life.
