Thanks Amy for making our 1st time a memorable one! We LOVED the wines and so glad we got a recommendation to stop in. Such a charming place. I know we will enjoy all the wines to come on the Captains’ selection… See you soon. Jeff(Capt) and Sue

Pleasantly surprised by the quality of food at this deli! PARKING: Dirt and pebble lot — no trouble. FOOD: –Brisket tacos: These were on the specials board and came with two large tacos and a side of corn and black bean salsa. This pulled brisket is definitely one of the best I’ve had in my life– so juicy and succulent! The jalapeño salsa on top is no joke — quite spicy. I can handle spicy, and this was a struggle. Very impressed! Tortillas are pressed in the panini grill and come out warm along with the brisket. Small selection of nonalcoholic beverages include iced tea and perrier. Prices are a bit steep, but the portion size and food quality are worth it!

One of my favorite tasting rooms in SLO, its a must stop for my group every time. Their reds are amazing, some of the best I have ever had. I am actually a member and have wines shipped to me in Santa Monica multiple times a year. The employees are friendly and super knowledgeable about their wines. Its not the best place for really large groups unless you are okay with sitting outside. The food at the deli is also amazing!

We randomly bumped into this place and I think it’s absolutely adorable not to mention our server there was absolutely fabulous very friendly easy to talk to. He definitely made our tasting experience out absolutely amazing. So thumbs up for him I did not catch his name. But he was amazing. It was wonderful to know that they have a little deli there we did order the brisket tacos which I must say were delicious. They definitely have lots of cute things to buy, wine related of course.

We have 26 documented visits to this wonderful location, there are many more times that we forgot to check in. This is by far the funnest tasting room we have ever been to. The staff is always so friendly and fun loving and the wines are excellent. We have been club members for close to 3 years and absolutely enjoy all the benefits from membership, the awesome selection that is shipped to us 3 times a year, or for more fun go to the pickup parties, which include tasty snacks and music along with the opportunity to meet new people. We are from out of the area but travel here frequently to attend the events and go tasting and we have made many new friends in the area. The wines are wonderfully crafted and are getting better and better every year, the winemaker Steve Martell is a genious. This year’s release of Wheelhouse, Holy Stone and Genoa(members only) is to die for. We met Rick, their professional pourer the first time we visited, he is a very witty and funny guy and a pleasure to be served by. He tried on the first visit to get us to join the club, but we were reluctant, however on our second visit he convinced us to join and the rest is history. Over the years we have met the entire staff and the owners who make you feel like family and are always around mingling at the events. The pourers, a lot of them college students studying viticulture are always fun to hang with and talk wine. There is a small deli inside the tasting room which serves wonderful sandwiches, salads and other tasty snacks to enjoy while tasting. There is a nice outside patio where you can taste and enjoy your food, it can be a little warm during the summer, but there is usually a cool afternoon breeze. If you have kids, take them back to see the goats and sheep that are located in the back of the property, there are also usually chickens located close to the patio for them to look at. In a nutshell, this is a wonderful place to taste wine, have fun and enjoy an afternoon.

Just left and had an amazing experience. The server was fantastic, the wine was fabulous. We bought a case and that says it all. One of our favorite wineries and once again had an amazing experience. We will return again and again whenever we will be in the area. Come to think of it, we’ll see you next month.

Oh my goodness! Lunch here is AMAZING! This is a usual stop for us when we go wine tasting in the area and need a quick bite to eat nearby so we can continue wine tasting at wineries in the area. I had the special last time I was there-roast beef sandwich on ciabatta bread. $ 15 lunch with sandwich and chips but well worth it. There was a group of 12 of us girls eating and half of us got the roast beef and the other half got the chicken apple fig sandwich MMMmMmMMm. Highly recommend eating lunch at this Deli.

Adorable property which shares land with old edna farm. Our favorite of the 7 wineries we visited while in SLO. Loved their wines!

This place is adorable! I loved the ambiance of the tasting room. You can get a little snack and taste wine outside on the patio. I didn’t love their wines but the Zinfandel was good, which isn’t normally my favorite but we bought a couple of bottles because it was tasty.

The Zinfandel is nice the others are decent. $ 10 gives you a tasting and the wine glass, good deal!

Friendly staff, dog friendly, excellent wine. Wine tasting for $ 10 and keep the glass. Patio can be warm during the mid afternoon, however, is ok when a breeze blows through.

Had a great experience tasting here with a large group for a birthday party. The staff was friendly and attentive even when it got busy. We had lunch pre-ordered from the deli and the food was hot and delicious! Great experience and cute place.

This is some of the worst wine that I have ever tasted. We had great wines at Edna Valley and then came here. What a mistake. Don’t bother with this stop!

We visited six wineries in Edna Valley, and this was hands-down our favorite. Each pour was delicious from whites to reds. We took home the Albariño. Definitely include time for this winery. Please note that the tasting room closes at 4:00 p.m., the earliest in the valley. Tasting was $ 10 for six wines, not refundable with purchase, but you get to keep your stemless, engraved tasting glass They also have a deli with food, in case you’d like to enjoy your wine with a meal on the property.

When you see the sign that says you have arrived at Old Edna, you are at Sextant’s tasting room. A two-story tin building made to look old, they have charming grounds that are as fun for the kids as it is for the adults. Outside there is a pen of bantering goats, a fearless hen, old wood shanties, a tree house, picket fences, picnic tables, grass, and plenty of shade to sit and eat. They offer a limited menu of simple food inside and, of course, wine and a few other bottled beverages. Wines that Mr. B chose to come home with us were the 2010 Caverio(a Grenache, Syrah, Mouvedre blend) and a 2010 Passage(a Syrah, Grenache, Mouvedre and Petite Syrah blend) . The old time charm and novelty is certainly a draw. The tasting room is quite inviting and set up for countertop tastings or more casual small group seatings for eating and drinking, indoors and out.

Charming winery tucked away in Arroyo Grande. They also have a tasting room in Paso Robles, but this is the original location. $ 10 tasting fee includes a stemless glass to take; not applied to a purchase of a bottle. Their wines are nice and reasonably priced; bought a Zinfandel for $ 21.

What a fantastic place to drop by! We had just come from a «no name» pretentious wine place and were happy to come to a place that felt like you were at someone’s home. The lady greeted us with warmth and genuine happiness in her voice. Inside the tasting room, it’s white and feels like a farm house. There were cool sea foam green distressed shadow boxes and great displays of metal wine racks on the walls displaying their bottles of wine. Right away, the lady was enthusiastic about introducing us to Sextant wines. The tasting was very generous, with about 6 to 7 wines starting from a grenache and ending with a blend. I love this place because there is a deli inside the tasting room. They also have a cheese refrigerator with a great selection. I was able to pick up a generous slice of brie cheese. The gentleman asked me if I wanted to pick up some crackers with it and I declined. However, he was generous enough to make up a plate of my brie with some bread pieces and he smothered the brie cheese with fig jam! It was beautiful and very delicious with our wine tasting. People were eyeing our cheese plate and it made the whole experience much more enjoyable. There was a family to the left of us and you could tell they were regulars. We just kind of eyed each other and then the wine started to make conversation. She insisted that we try the deli’s brown sugar cookies! I am so glad that we did, they are a perfect blend of sweet and savory. They were exquisite! They are sold in a package of 6 for $ 6.00. Yes, might sound expensive, but it literally is a PERFECTBLEND! She also gave us a bite of a blend bar of some sort. The dessert bar had coconut, chocolate, graham cracker crust and peanut butter. There chardonnay reserve will win over red wine drinkers. Give it a try! There wine club is very generous. They have barrel tasting of wine for members, pick up parties, 30% off for the month of a special release wine and VIP invitations as well as complimentary tastings for 4 people on every visit. My friend signed up for the membership telling me that other wineries are not as generous and she is a long time local. We had a great time and I will definitely go back. I may even consider to sign up for their membership because I had so much fun!
