Dr Malotte is a fantastic doctor. He is very thorough, I recently went to him and he saw my condition all the way thru to the end. He is also great with kids!

Dr. Malotte has changed our lives! 15 years ago we took our then infant child to see Dr. Malotte and I showed him her health log of chronic fluid on the ears interspersed with ear infections. She was 2 years old and her only words were «mamama». After carefully reviewing the log he recommended bi-​lateral ear tubes as soon as practical. When Dr. Malotte carried our daughter out of surgery he craddled her in his arms as he would his own child. I was immediately reassured with his gentle tender care at a very anxious time for a mother. We took our daughter home, and after a long nap she awoke to her hot lunch. As always I looked her and said «careful, HOT» and fed her. Our daughter looked at me and as though hearing my voice for the first time her eyes lit up and she articulated with perfect diction, «HOT» with a hard T sound on the end. I wept, I giggled, I repeated her, she repeated me and she hasn’t stopped talking since.
Recently my husband, a military veteran and avid surfer with significant hearing loss (from both) decided he wanted to do something about what he assumed was «surfer’s ear». What my husband was adamant about was NOT getting a hearing test as he already knew he was «deaf» from gunfire in the military and had NO interest in hearing aids that would magnify the tinnitis ringing he constantly endures. He also had been diagnosed with significant hearing loss too many times before and did not want to be subjected to the humiliation of any such diagnosis again. It was Dr. Malotte’s direct, straight forward informative approach that put my husband at ease and even motivated him to schedule a second session for a hearing test. Dr. Malotte shared the innovation which has occurred in the hearing aid development over the last 10 years and made all the difference in my husbands view of his own condition. I will always be grateful to Dr. Malotte for his professionalism, compassion, direct communication, knowledge of his field, and tender care of his patients. If you need a very highly qualified ear, nose and throat doctor, you will be well served by Dr. Malotte!

Very nice Doctor and staff. I have seen him a few times for both throat and nose problems. He is always so friendly and helpful. Always on time and doesn’t make you wait long :)

I had my first visit today with SLO ENT and saw Dr.Malotte.I am SO impressed. The office staff are nice, fast, and helpful. Dr. Malotte could not have been nicer. He was professional and informative yet still comforting. He diagnosed and then took care of my ears quickly and with little to no pain. I would recommend him, and this office, to anyone needing an ENT specialist.
