Such a delicious little gem. I’m in love with their smoothie bowls! Try the peanut butter chocolate one. Also, their vegan desserts are pretty fantastic… you wouldn’t think they’re vegan. I love their lemon cheesecake. Bliss never disappoints. I’m always satisfied. A bonus is the atmosphere, very calm and natural. I love that you can sit outside by the creek or indoors and chill.

Food is moderately okay, glad for the vegan options. This place should be called Cultural Appropriation Café though, what a joke. Basically a place for white yuppies to pat themselves on the back for their«karma» for eating flavorless, way overpriced food. The use of Indian religion as a branding tool is beyond offensive.

The food is very good and the portions very fair. The smoothies I’ve tried here were good, but could be improved. I enjoy frequenting here when I am in the area. It’s nice being able to sit out and relax at the patio knowing that you’re fueling your body with healthy stuff! However, the prices are on the higher side. The last time I was here I got the tacos, a donut, and a smoothie and including tip, I think I spent around $ 27 – 29, which was a bit costly for just a solo meal IMO since I was hungry about an hour and a half later, lol. I’ll be back though to try their other creative creations!

Bliss Café is owned by and/or run by those in the Hare Krishna movement as evidenced by the paintings and reading materials. They are very respectful in that no one speaks of it or preaches. What they will do is serve you up some amazing vegan dishes, tempt you with some yummy desserts many of them gluten free, and help you put your body back in order with a great tasting detox juice. My favorite entrée is the Reuben sandwich that comes with soup or salad and on this occasion I had the soup which was a split pea and quinoa. The reuben sandwich was so close to the real thing it was almost scary and the soup was spiced nicely if not maybe a little overpowering, but not too salty. I always get my order to stay because I absolutely love the energy here. They have an outside patio area where you can get some fresh air and a nice breeze but I always sit inside and absorb the positive energy of those coming and going. I’ve had most of the dishes, but not all. I will have all of them at some point. I’ve never had a bad experience here and look forward to every time I come. So why 5 stars? Try it and you’ll find out. Peace. j

My friends from SLO, recommended this place because of vegan donuts. Its a bit expensive about $ 3 each. What i lile about their vegan donuts is that the cake base has sone chai flavors. The toppings vary.. i liked their coconut, maple pecan, and chai. I wasnt a fan of their quinoa sprinkles(not enough quinoa) and their plain chocolate donut was too sweet. Their menu is catered for vegans and vegetarians; they do have raw vegan stuff too. What you see on their bakery display is all they have, so its best to come early, if you have your eyes fixated on something. Another thing about their café area both indoors and outdoors, there are these flies swarming near the trash area. It needs to be clean. This is like a classic example of a health violation code. But the outdoor seating area has a nice scenic view(not the downtown busy streets), just green grassy areas and trees. Their bathrooms are generally clean and well ventilated. They have a nice filtered water machine nearby, which i find it neat for customers. I like their Hindu décor. There are several images if some Brahamin monks, Lord Shiva, and ither Hindu deities, Sanskrit words, etc.

I’m not a vegan or vegetarian, but I love fresh veggies prepared creatively! Bliss Café is a great choice for salads, wraps, sandwiches and fresh juices and smoothies of every imaginable combination. I had the Protein Buddha with tofu and Jalapeño Avocado Cilantro dressing. The dressing has a nice pep to it and not at all overpowering. There was more rice and potatoes than I prefer but the kale was sauteed well and the dressing added flavor. You can sit inside or out on a loverly terrace. The staff is very friendly.

I love this place. It is peaceful. I ordered a cup of chai. The server Sarena told me, they serve good food for vegans. She is very friendly. Her smiling really makes people feel home away from home. I recommend this place to all local people, including Poly & Cuesta students. I value this place highly.

I’m not much for vegan food but I’m always happy to come here for a smoothie. While the menu here is admittedly a little pricey, it’s a nice occasional splurge. The creek side seating is relaxing on a hot day however the bar next door can get a little obnoxious. The smoothies I’ve tried here(just the ones with chocolate admittedly) have all been exceptional. The staff is hit-or-miss but the service is usually very prompt and it’s the kind of place where you don’t too much mind waiting around anyway. They have some lovely chess boards inside as well. I believe there’s a correlation between the quality of an establishment and the quality of the chessboards they provide their customers.

Probably my favorite place in SLO to eat, has awesome food and THEBESTDONUTS. My friends and I come all of the time and end up buying more than we came for. They are good for vegans and non vegans alike. The staff are always so sweet as well.

Unfortunately I came 10 min before closing so I couldn’t try much. The really chill hostess helped me decide on the Seaweed Avocado Wrap. Which was perfect since I wasn’t terribly hungry and I didn’t want to be that guy who makes the kitchen work 10 min before closing. Everything is made fresh to order so don’t expect to get it fast like Taco Bell or something, a lot of love is going into your food so be patient. The flavors are so fresh and light inside the wrap and the kale salad that comes with it makes u wanna dance. U should dance, dancing is fun! It comes with a dipping sauce also that completely changes the taste and makes it even more awesome. The experience here was awesome and I really enjoyed the vibe of everyone. You would be wearing crazy pants to not be adventurous and try this place! Well if the food isn’t enticing enough there is also a really nice hostess who no lie looks like Olivia Munn! Eat like me. :)

Feeling all blissed out and need a zen space and nourishment to foster good vibes? Definitely head to Bliss Café. The green juices, smoothies, and especially baked goods(those vegan gluten free donuts!!!) are all top notch. Even if you’re not«that type» it’s still a delicious experience with always-friendly staff and surprisingly fast service.

Beautiful afternoon in SLO so we chose outdoor creekside seating at Bliss for our lunch. This restaurant is located in the back of a building that also is home to other stores. You walk up to the counter, order, fetch your utensils, water and find a table till the servers to bring your food. Everyone was nice and it didn’t take long for our food to arrive. Being fond of Ruben sandwiches, this one was calling my name. Grilled and marinated tempeh served on a delightful multigrain bread with kraut, tomato, mustard, veganise and avocado, yes! Avocado! That’s a first for me and it was yummy! The Ruben was accompanied by a bowl of warm beet soup. More than enough to eat for sure! My hubby chose the grilled teriyaki bowl which included chunks of pineapple, grated carrots, tempeh and rice. He enjoyed his bowl, however, said it was a tad bland. He also had a almond date shake, which was just ok. For dessert we chose the peanut butter chocolate chip cookies which were good. There’s just one little adjustment. Please find it with yourself Bliss, to put some soap in the ladies bathroom. When I retuned the key to the counter, I was told it’s not your bathroom and you just rent the space from the building. You gotta know you hold the key that unlocks the door. Your people eat in your restaurant and soap is a must have. Good thing I always carry some in my purse for a moment just like this.

The juices are good and you can’t fault a patio over the creek. The food though? Meh. We had a Thai inspired salad with peanut dressing and tofu. The tofu should have been called tofu jerky. Dry and tough with no taste at all. The salad was wet and watery and the dressing bland. Overall? Grab a drink and enjoy the view. Eat somewhere else

I’m happy with the philosophy of this café/restaurant. They are about the Ayurvedic term ‘Ahimsa’, which means to ‘injure none’ and by offering alkalizing and vegan foods they are living this philosophy. After a long peruse of the menu and looking for foods that my food sensitive body could eat, I ordered the seaweed avocado wrap. It’s a hearty blend of sprouts, carrots, cabbage, avocado and hummus wrapped in dried nori(seaweed) and served with a side of beet/quinoa salad(can’t do quinoa though) And sauerkraut(thumbs up!) This is rad because I’m a special type of gluten-free Sista. My body doesn’t vibe with any kind of grain or except millet so I have to be particularly careful when dining out. I’m stoked, this is a perfect meal for me and it’s tasty and I feel great. It’s just a little challenging to bite into. Besides that it’s very good. yummy and healthy.

Get your daily vitamin J from the Baja Chipotle Sandwich with added Jalapeño‼. The river walk is just beyond the back patio here at Bliss. This place has it all: good food, casual atmosphere, great lighting and wonderful ambiance. A+

Oh Bliss… You’ve added back the ability to actually enjoy food for an allergic girl in an allergen unfriendly world. The words«the whole case of desserts are gluten free» was quite literally music to my ears.(And I of course point at each item and clarify… «This too?!?») My favorite order would be tempeh tacos with avocado. You get 4… Which is enough for a good appetite with no dessert, and around $ 10. Or, be like me and buy the tacos, a piece of cake, and a GF donut and save 2 tacos for lunch the next day… I highly recommend either ordering online(then your order is just ready in a pick up box. No speaking necessary!!), or call in the order and pay when you arrive. Service can be slow when you’re sitting and waiting, but the product is worth it. Again, thanks for existing!

Great smoothies. Such unique blends with ingredients I’m not so familiar with, but sounds super healthy. The décor, the spacing, the people — they all help create such a relaxing atmosphere. I don’t normally step into places like this, but I can get used to it — starting here
