I rode with Amanda for most of my college career. She was great at building my confidence, and really took the time to help me improve. Amanda is a very smart and thoughtful trainer, and really knows when to push you or just provide support. She also is great at building challenging courses that really prepare you for the show ring. Definitely one of the best options for training and lessons in the SLO area.

I have been training with Amanda for over 8 years and I have nothing but respect and admiration for her. I am easily old enough to be her mother, yet she continues to teach me and challenge me to be a better rider every time I have a lesson with her. I also cherish her as a true friend as she has supported me through some very wonderful times and some extremely tough times.
Oak Park has been like a family to me and if I didn’t have that, I don’t know that I would retain my passion for riding.

I’ve known Amanda since 2001. She’s a skilled trainer, both as a rider and as a coach. For taking lessons, there is always a good horse to ride. She has pushed me hard enough to feel challenged and make improvements. Sometimes it’s a tough work out. Best of all, I feel that she cares that I become a better rider.

I am an adult rider and I feel very comfortable training with Amanda who is much younger. She is encouraging and firm at all the right times. Amanda has helped me train my 12 year old Quarter Horse from his age of 5. He is now an amazing Hunter and Trail horse; just what I wanted. He has had challenges that we have worked through and now he is one the best horses I have ever owned.
I also LOVE Oak Park. My horse is very happy there. Everyone who rides there is nice and are happy people. We support one another. A big plus: sandy trails so right after a rain it’s great footing.
