I have been coming here for over 10 yrs to have my invoices made in duplicate format and they keep all previous templates and even helped me with further suggestions for my upgrades. They are wonderful here at this mom and pop shop!

I finished a doctors appointment and needed a place to make a few copies before sending off the documents at the post office. Since my doctor’s appointment was near San Leandro Hospital, I was considering going to Marina Square’s Kiko’s to make photocopies. I thought to myself surely there would be another copy store where I can make a few copies without running the opposite direction before dropping off the documents at the post office. Figuring the folks who work at the doctor’s office would know where I could make a copy nearby, no one seemed to have an answer. I walked out figuring I’d go to Kinko’s. I pulled out of the lot and before driving more than 1 block, I saw a sign that read«copies» «printing» in(yes tacky) multi color from 4 decades ago. I parked outside and walked inside to discover an elderly man coming out from behind the counter and tons of old photos and newspaper articles. Surely, this place is antiquated, but the copy machines were actually decent. They’re not as expansive as Kinko’s, but for regular copying, it will do the trick(10 cents a copy). You might wonder why I am giving this place 4 stars. Besides being a mom and pop store, if you want to know the history of San Leandro and what was around East 14th Street in its glory years(hopefully will be restored someday soon), Bill Quarry(owner) will tell you. From Nakashima’s TV store to the old animal hospital/veterinary that occupied where Bill’s place is at, he is the IT man for everything and anything San Leandro. I asked him how he ever go into the printing business. I told him how I missed my childhood used bookstore nearby named Wolf’s Books(shut down in the early 2000s). He said it’s amazing how people did not know he existed(and as I am the first review… I can totally see his point). Why Come Here? –Come here if you need a few copies. You will not only get a few copies and if needed envelopes are 4 pennies(I seriously don’t think he has adjusted for the price of inflation), you will get a full story and everything in between about local history, Bill’s sense of humor, and how life was like 40 years ago. When I got home, I looked up the website that was on Bill’s business card. He told me he was in the music business(hence the Sonny and Cher photo hung prominently to the right of his wall). Turns out he was a very happening young man back in the day and one of the top entertainment producers and concert promoters/producers in the 1960s and 1970s, bringing top notch bands into the East Bay from everywhere throughout the America and England! Now…go make some copies and meet Bill. He’s so friendly. I hope he sticks around for awhile. For $ 2.20, I got 22 copies and more than a book reading from standing in the aisles of Barnes and Noble. Cash OR checks ONLY! Private parking lot in the back. Also, Bill sells office supplies and does printing for businesses.
