I came in and asked for a bottle of sake. The fellow at the counter showed me two over-priced teeny bottles of Korean rice wine which I expressed disappointment with before finally showing me to the bottle of Sho Chiku Bai sake, which he knew was there all along. One star for actually showing me where the sake was in the end.

lucas liquor is in a commercial strip on foothill blvd. above hwy 580 not much parking space here, just a few, some 6 paks micros, not many big bottles. store is a little cluttered. believed most not priced. the priced one seem average at best, probably bit high pour: samuel adams(220z, 5%?, 3.45) –smooth, not a lot of buzz. when it was new, it was great but the novelty wore off, they haven’t improvised, their specials are just blah. - –samuel adams isn’t a real brewery anyways. no physical plant. just contracting out their brewing. 2.75 stars on draught –would come here if i get a sammie next door at terrance.

So I live in the area and last night like on others in the past I stopped in here to grab a bottle of wine… it’s convenient & not far from home. But sucks because expensive. Even the lower grade wines that should be cheap are expensive. I need to just stop playing and stock up at BevMo like my fam keeps telling me to do… im hard headed.
