Great place with great deals. We went there in the middle of the night on Thursday. Burgers were bigger and meater than I thought they would. Everything is bigger in Texas. Those $ 1 burgers makes the California $ 1 burgers look tiny.

I’ve been in love with Stars since I was a kid. Who could resist 99 cent burger Tuesdays??? I loved their number one with mayo. I’m not sure it was mayo. I’m pretty sure it was Miracle Whip. It was delicious. I decided to stop here on my last visit home. It was my first time at Stars in at least 5 years. I didn’t see any signs for 99 cent burgers and then menu was snazzier with pictures! I was a little confused on which burger I actually wanted because they changed their menu. They added a ¼ lbs. burger and I believe their 99 cent burger is now the regular burger. Burger was still tasty. Not the best burger I’ve ever had but it did the job. They could have gone easy on the lettuce. Service was a little slow and I was a little annoyed that they don’t have credit card machines like Sonic. I’m just glad they actually take cards. Besides the new menus, I don’t think the place has ever been updated and I’m okay with that.

Love it. Wish there were Stars Drive-Ins in California. I ordered the Thursday special, buy a big juicy cheeseburger for $ 1, we ordered two and a side of tots. My previous experiences of Stars has never failed me, it’s been years since I had a Stars burger and was not dissapointed. Their big cheeseburgers are large! And you notice they are grilled perfectly. They do not smother your burger in condiments, they fill up your burger the ol’ fashioned way. Lettuce, splash of mustard, tomato, bun, cheese and meat. Simple. Just the way God intended. You can taste, actually taste the meaty goodness in the burger, the cheeseburgers took me to a happy place, it was a great experience. Tots were average, but good too. Service was up to par as well, nothing awful. I was at the drive in late, however, around 12am but service was not slow. I have to say Stars Drive In totally beats Whataburger.
