I went here bc I wanted to try Texas Barbecue since it has a reputation of BBQ. Food does not look like traditional barbecue. Look unappetizing. I am glad they refund me on the food when I returned it to them. That’s where it got it’s extra star. Luckily, my girlfriend’s cousin served a traditional Texan barbecue so my Texas trip wasn’t a waste.

Over-priced food, even though a portion of their earnings go to Christian related groups they support, the food doesn’t have to suffer. I ordered a quarter leg chicken and brisket combo, the two most popular items on the menu, said by one of the workers there. The brisket looked dry and the sides were a small portion of over-cooked Mexican rice and«Cowboy» beans that suspiciously resembled Mexican pinto beans. Along with this order came a choice between tortillas or sliced all American white bread, I wasn’t asked for either so I was given the least appetizing choice; white bread. The restaurant had a Cowboy, Western theme and offered food relating to the theme. However, you’re still given the ol’ Mexican rice and beans as a side order, blandly seasoned pinto beans and tasteless rice; I didn’t want to pay $ 14.88 for this meal because the meat/side portions were small. I felt I was being robbed of my money so I turned around and took it back, the guy there was nice enough to return the money back. The food did not look awful, but the food was too ‘garden variety’ for my taste and at the time, I was craving Texas style BBQ. This place looked like a Texas BBQ joint, with little to no service, but the food was too Mexican inspired. And not that I have anything against Mexican inspired dishes, It’s not what I was craving, I felt gipped and tricked into thinking this was a place that served BBQ, like the name of their restaurant is titled.
