Great little poke bowl spot and definitely the best poke in San Juan. Good portion sizes and no extra charge for avocado and seaweed salad which is a plus in my book

A little hole in the wall near my work! Definitely a fan, especially when they offer seaweed salad as a topping without extra charge. Overall, I had better poke around, but I definitely will come back again. Step 1 — Choose Base I always ask for half white rice and half salad in my regular bowl. Makes my meal a little lighter and healthier. They give you 3 scoops of fish in Regular bowls and 5 for large. You can also ask to have it in Soy Paper Wrap(kind of a like a sushi burrito) OR on top of nachos. Step 2– Choose sides They offer avocado, crab meat, cucumber, and onion. Extra scoops of avocado and crab meat are just 50 cents, cheaper than other places I’ve been to! Step 3– Choose your fish Salmon, tuna, spicy tuna, albacore, yellowtail, shrimp, octopus, scallop, tofu, and tamago. They have a good variety of fish/protein here compared to other places I’ve tried. Their fish is pretty fresh, but I have yet to try the tofu and tamago. Step 4– Choose your spice I got Mild, which is spicy mayo and it’s not really spicy at all IMO. Medium is siracha and spicy is basically chili paste. I wished they made their sauces better, which was why I took off a star. Next time I’ll probably ask for a mixture of the sauces. Step 5– Choose your topping Ginger, green onion, furikake, kizami nori, and seaweed salad. I love that they have seaweed salad free of charge. Most places I’ve visited would charge $ 1 extra for a tiny scoop.

I’d like to consider myself a poké lover, and enjoy finding new places to experience and indulge on fine fish. The name WOWPOKI sums it up completely. Wow! Fish is fresh big chunks and excellent, all garnishes are wonderful. I got the large bowl with everything in it so I could try all they have to offer. I also love that it’s a tiny little random place you would never see just driving by. This place is going to be very difficult to beat. Great job wow poki. You have my attention.

The best poke I’ve ever had. So good. Kinda hidden but has very fresh fish with all the choices you would want. I would come back here in a heart beat. Very authentic.

So Damn good. 5 stars is a little aggressive, but holy it was so damn good. I got regular with white rice, two scoops of salmon and one of tuna, with avocado and cucumber. Also with the spiciest they had which gave it a medium kick that was perfect. Would 100% recommend it for anyone who loves poke! Best poke I’ve had besides Bearflag… but beats any other poke shack I’ve been to. –DonJulio

We found this place when searching for local restaurants on Unilocal, and we trusted all of the favorable reviews on Unilocal so we gave it a shot and we were blown away! The Tuna is incredibly fresh, flavor is amazing, good portion sizes, and priced pretty well! Just over the past 2 weeks, they have become a new favorite lunch or dinner spot for our family, and we look forward to coming back every time!

If you’re from Hawaii and miss eating poke that’s just as good, you’ve found the right spot. I’m from Hawaii and I’ve been to many poke shops around Southern California and I must say that this poke shop has to be the best one that I’ve come across. There are many toppings and types of fish to choose from as well as different spice levels.

We had just flown in from LAX and was heading home to San Diego. We decided to get lunch here based on the Unilocal reviews. This place did not disappoint. I only wish we had one in San Diego. I got the large bowl $ 11.50 that gives you a choice of 5 fish and all the toppings. It’s quick, fresh, and super delicious. We arrived 18 minutes before it opened. We were the first to be there so there was no problem of having a wait. But just as we got there, there were 5 men right behind us, so it’s clear that this place is a favorite among the locals. I can see why. Two thumbs up!

Hidden gem! The restaurant is located in an industrial office park. It has a chipotle concept of pick your own fish and add your condiments. It is reasonably priced of small and large. No additional charge for add ons bc it is all included. Their sauce is base on how spicy you like it. Then they mix it all together. I got the large half rice and half salad. Mild sauce. 5 fish: albacore, tuna, shrimp, octopus, and salmon. It came with a small scoop of avocado, crab meat, and ginger. I had all the add ins except for the white onions. It was quite tasty! My pike bowl was around 12 bucks. I went w a coworker and he loved his poke bowl too. There were plenty of seating area. Definitely a hole in the wall. I will be returning very soon!

It was difficult finding this place the first time since it’s tucked away in an industrial area. Now that I know where it is I come here weekly, haha. The portions for rice and fish are generous. A regular bowl with just rice as the base is very filling so I like to get half rice and half salad which I find more satisfying. A regular bowl gets you 3 scoops of protein so I like to get tuna, salmon, and albacore. The great thing about this place is that avocado is included so there is no sneaky extra charge. The workers are friendly and cute Japanese people haha. When I first started coming here they offered free miso soup but that deal is no longer available I’m assuming because of their rise in popularity. I had been coming here for about a month and during my most recent visit two days ago, I experienced waiting in line for the first time. Even though there was a busy crowd, the workers are still as kind as ever. Usually when there’s not a lot of people, there’s only one person working the poke assemblage. When I came at a busy time there were now 2 workers for more efficiency. The first person who does the base, fish, and sides hands your mix to the second worker who mixes the fish sauce and adds toppings. Since there apparently wasn’t enough fish, the second worker put in more for me haha. I thought this was small action was sweet of them. I’m glad my favorite place for poke is getting more recognition and I hope they continue to be consistent with their excellent quality. Kind of bummed they’re closed on Sundays though haha.

Quantity & quality all put together in a large bowl of poke goodness. The restaurant is well hidden in a commercial area… but my GPS led me perfectly. The restaurant has an entrance on each side of the commercial strip, perfect for when you turn too quick or turn late. 100% recommend this place. Better than FINS in Mission Viejo… worth the drive for an extra 5 miles. A lot more generous with their portions — large bowl is cheaper & you’re able to add 5 choices.

This place is a small hidden gem in a quiet plaza and deserves more recognition. Five stars because this is my new favorite poke bowl place. For less than $ 10 you can get a «small» bowl, but that already comes with three scoops of fish. I was surprised how bright and fresh the fish was. The menu is easy to read and they offer your meal in the form of a burrito or nachos as well. When choosing your level of spiciness, you are choosing the sauce. They mix a bunch of sauces together with your fish, cucumbers and onions. I chose to get mild, and saw them throw in a bunch of sauces and I wish I was able to pick what to put it, or at least know what it is, but it turned out pretty good! Step 1: choose a base of white or brown rice, salad, nachos or a wrap. Step 2: sides, you can choose them all! Avocado, crab meat, cucumber and onions. Step 3: tuna, spicy tuna, salmon, albacore or yellow tail. Shrimp, octopus, scallop, tofu or even tamago! Step 4: spiciness level, the sauce is mixed for you but it’s yummyyyy I love the friendly staff. They really do make sure you get everything you want and they do not rush through your order. I appreciate the simple things like asking if we want forks or chopsticks and packaging them for us to-go even though they utensils were out in the counter. I hope this place is here forever.

Went here for a late lunch yesterday while I was in the area, and their poké is on point! And I love how it’s a small, cute restaurant. The staff is very friendly and have great customer service! There’s indoor and 2 outdoor seating areas. It seems like a family owned business, and I love places like this! I would come back whenever I’m in the area again! oh one thing I would recommend is to play some background music, it doesn’t have to be loud.

I write few reviews, but had to take the time to sing this shop’s praises! This take-out poke shop is stuck in a little industrial area, right next to the post office(hopefully that will give them extra visibility), so I fear it’s success will be dependent on word of mouth. But their poke is excellent, very generous and fairly priced. San Juan Capistrano has needed a variety of Asian-inspired eateries, to help balance the number of excellent Mexican choices. Thankfully, some new restaurants have come online, in town, recently, and hopefully they will all find their audiences. Again, this is first-class poke and you must give it a try!

I cannot believe how good this place is for Tuna bowls– with super fresh melts in your mouth, high end better tasting than most high end sushi places– with fresh avocado and medium spicy and brown rice It has to be the single best, cleanest, healthiest, most delicious $ 10 Dinner in the United States. Super friendly people– so good! I could eat there at least twice a week.

not«WOW» but definitely above average. I like how this is family owned and operated small restaurant that they do care about their customers and food quality. It’s in an industry area that they are the only one that still open at night.(They open to 8pm M-Saturday). The plaza is super dark in winter so I missed this place for the first time because I wasn’t believe there would be a restaurant here. Fish quality are not bad, quite enjoyable than Poke District in Tustin and Poke Island in HB. Sauce is weak, non spicy is refreshing but still weak while mild is too heavy for my liking. A large poke bowl(5 scoops of fish) for total $ 12.42 after tax is pretty reasonable. They also give you a scoop of avocado and imitation crab meat both are fresh. I feel their portion is bigger than other places because both time I finished rice before I finished the fish and I was super full. Opening special comes w a miso soup but that’s pretty whatever. Will definitely becoming my to go place.

Pro: poké in SJC!!! Fresh, cheap, and quick service Con: I do miss the old sandwich here from before Saw this place when I was mailing crap out at the old USPS on Paseo. I was fairly surprised by seeing something so new in the city and delighted its not some eatery for the WASPY old folks around town. The portion for the food is good, price is def below downtown standard. The traffic is low, for now, so you can get your stuff in and out. If you are in SJC. Give this place a shot!

I had just grabbed coffee with a friend in the area, and afterwards wanted to grab something quick to eat. A quick Unilocal search and this place came up «hot and new»! Sweet! It wasn’t too far from me. It’s located in a small shopping area, you can enter the shop from the back or the front door. It’s like a Chipotle of Poke Bowls! Soooo good! I ordered: — large bowl $ 11.50 choice of 5 scoops of fish then they add crab and seaweed, ask how spicy you want it Soooo good!!! Comes with miso, even to go does too. Definitely worth the $ 11.50!

FINALLY! I have been dying for a new workday lunch spot, and this fits the bill! At ~$ 8.50 for a regular bowl, it’s almost half the price I’ve paid at other places(ahem, Sunsets) and comes with far more«goodies»(avocado, seaweed, ginger, etc.) I loved it and will definitely be back! EDIT: I do agree with the reviewer below, Lauren M. — it would be nice if the salad and rice were mixed in with the sauce(or maybe have that as an option for those who want it) — I had so much good stuff packed into my bowl I couldn’t get to the rice until I was halfway done :)

This is our first time here and the place is so awesome. The problem is that it is so awesome and affordable that we were really debating on writing a good review or even a review at all, just because we don’t want it to get so busy that we have to wait in line. If you like poki, want to eat healthy and at an affordable price then this is the to go. WOW Poki is really that good! You will be as impressed as we are.

We found this place by accident while driving through SJC. I LOVED it. The pricing was great, the food was delicious And the serving size was large. I will be going back to wow Poki on the regular. They give you 5 generous scoops of Poki when you get a large and have many different selections. I highly recommend this place. 5STARS.

So excited. Nothing cool ever comes to SJC! And as a resident here… a few minutes away, a poke place is to die for. It used to be a sandwich shop. I presume it’s the same owners. Anyhow I thoroughly enjoyed my poke bowl. My only criticism is I got half salad and half rice and both were dry. They only mix the fish with certain toppings. And the sauce doesn’t reach the bottom of the bowl. I would suggest mixing it all together or adding more sauce. I dumped it in a bowl when I got home and mixed with more soy sauce. Otherwise. Yum! I hope it’s here to stay. :)

A POKE place by my house! Finally made it to this little poke restaurant Monday night. We were beyond excited to try this place and boy were we SATISFIED. The food is fresh and the choices are plentiful. I love that you can choose to mix your base. I got brown rice and salad. Since the hubby and I got regular size for $ 8.50 we got 3 choices of protein. I got tuna, spicy tuna, and salmon. I choose all the side option of avocado, crab meat, cucumber, and white onion. Got the bowl medium spicy and added ginger, green onion, furikake, and nori for toppings(I opted not to get the masago and wasabi). The hubby got 2 scoops of spicy tuna and albacore with a salad base, all the side, and same topping as I did except for the ginger. We decided to take it home and enjoy our meal there. They have a grand opening special of free miso soup. Man that soup hit the spot. The poke bowl was heavenly. It was tasty, fresh, and DELICIOUS!!! I love pokinometry in Anaheim but this place is equally great. We lucked out that they opened in San Juan Capistrano. We will be back this weekend. Btw, service is super welcoming and friendly. We will tell everyone about this place They offer a large bowl for $ 11.50 with 5 scoops of protein/fish and a Poki wrap for $ 9 with 3 fish scoops, side, and toppings. You must TRY this place. You will not be sorry.

So beyond excited to try this place. Finally a Poke place close to my parent’s home! Yay! Got to this place and they were so welcoming! Full of smiles and just excited to serve you their amazing poke. My brother and I shared the large bowl which was $ 11.50. We got crab, avocado, 2 scoops salmon, 1 scoop spicy tuna, 1 scoop albacore, 1 scoop tuna in spicy sauce with all toppings. First of, it looked amazing. All ingredients are so fresh and this was about an hour before they closed. When we dug into it, wow! Flavor explosion in your mouth! It was a little tangy but a little sweet with right amount of spice. The flavor was so balanced! It was so good I immediately texted my sister who is also a poke fan to ask if she wants me to bring her some so she can try it. Of course she said yes! By the way, their miso soup is free and it was so delish! Their hot tea is also free!!! Bec we are first time customers, we were given a poke appetizer to taste. It was a chip topped with mixed fish, avocado, cucumber and amazing sauce! Again, amazing and FREE!!! Did I mention I love this place??? I probably texted a handful of people already to try this place and I haven’t even finished my bowl of poke! Awesome food and awesome service!!! A must try when in OC!!!

Fresh.Tasty.Good Service.Poki. What more do you want? With«Poke» being all the craze these days, I had to come try out this new place close to where I work. Basically, you choose rice or salad. Then they mix your selection of various fresh seafood in mild, medium, hot, and no spicy. Finally they top it off with some goodies and bam. POKE. The 2 Japanese ladies behind the counter were great and funny as well. :)
