Pretty good boba. Got one order wrong, but corrected it quickly without issue.

The best jasmine milk tea I’ve had. Really a hidden gem. I’m so glad there’s a good boba tea place in south SJ. I’d come here 3x a day if I could.

Cute place, 5 stars for that. For the boba though. Minus two stars. Tasteless, the boba is a little weird. There’s agar added to it, not sure why but it doesn’t do anything for it. Tasteless and weird texture. I ordered a milk tea 50% sugar but it tasted like there was no sugar. Probably wouldn’t go back again.

Oh my god… This place is horrible. Ordered a ceylon black tea with milk foam and it tasted like a steeped Lipton bag with a dash of vanilla creamer. So disgusting. The only thing that’s decent here is the Thai milk tea because it’s premade… PRE. MADE. Honestly, the fact that this place can’t make regular milk tea taste good scares me. Don’t come here if you’re serious about boba. Just don’t.

I used to go to the old TLeaf on Moorpark, and I’m glad that they were able to relocate. The place still looks brand new and has a good amount of seating inside the store. Tleaf is great because they have so many options. I am a fan of all milk tea places that specify and list the specific kind of tea and milk choices. There’s a variety of tea you can choose from: black, green, honey red oolong, earl grey, genmaicha… the list goes on. I usually ask for less sweetness so that the flavor of the tea is really distinct. You can also choose your milk style and they have diverse toppings as well. If you need help, they have a picture menu. The thing that wins me over for TLeaf is that you have the option to add an espresso shot for $.65. I’m a fan of any milk tea house that has this option! Sometimes you’re craving milk tea aaaand you also need coffee… so why not get both. My preference is adding an espresso shot to the regular black milk tea. It’s delicious!

The people working were very prompt and friendly. The place has both a set menu, or you can choose from various teas and toppings yourself. I especially appreciate that they have various levels of sweetness, since most milk tea places tend to make their drinks on the sweeter side. I’ll definitely come back in the future to try other drinks. The only downside I could potentially see would be lack of seating if it got very crowded, but I didn’t personally have that problem.

My sister and I were excited to try this place for the first time today! The place is very cute and has a reasonable amount of seating. The workspace is big and you can see what the workers are doing which I liked. Also, there was great customer service as we were greeted as soon as we walked in. The workers made sure we were satisfied with the sweetness level before we left. As for the drinks, I got a Thai milk tea which is what I usually get. I definitely liked Tealeaf’s better than tapioca express. Their boboa is smaller than what I’m used to so I was a little disappointed but other than that everything was great! My sister got lychee and really enjoyed it as well.

The tea is amazing. One of the better ones I’ve had. Strong flavor to them and not watered down like most places. The macrons are to die for(the lemon is the best in my opinion). The place is well organized, clean, and inviting. The staff is knowledgeable and very informative. Veronica helped me out on my first visit and gave me all great recommendations. She was super helpful. And if you need to see, they’ve got pictures AND descriptions of ALL their drinks.

Came in on a Saturday afternoon. The business seemed pretty slow but the customer service was great. Ordered a regular size earl grey milk tea with milk foam, 50% sweet. The milk to tea ratio seemed just a tad bit too much that you sort of loose the tea flavor but the sweetness was just right. All in all this place was good and I’m most likely going to come back and try it next time without the milk added to the tea & just the foam.

This is probably the best tea place near my house. I came in at around 3:15. It was somewhat crowded but it was fine. I ordered a jumbo sized(35 cents extra) a li Shan oolong milk tea with egg pudding with regular sweetness while my brother ordered a regular sized tiger milk tea with no toppings and regular sweetness. The girls working made our teas very quickly. My tea was very good! It wasn’t too sweet and it wasn’t too bland or bitter. The egg pudding was sweet but it complimented the tea. I took a sip of my brother’s tiger milk tea and it tasted very good. It wasn’t too sweet or too bitter. I personally thought it was a little watered down but that’s ok. They are also now selling macaroons! I’m definitely gonna try that the next one I visit!

I love fresh fruit. I love trying new tea houses. I love music. So I came here. Tleaf Teapresso. New kid on the block. Welcome. Good-bye. I came here after seeing beautiful photos on social media of their drinks. I didn’t bother asking about the taste of it because I personally like trying new tea houses regardless of what I hear. I just have to try it myself. I asked their worker what they recommend in terms of something fruity. She pointed out to me on their specialty menu the Refresh Me because it has fresh fruits in it. Boom. I was sold. Of course, to test out any tea house, you have to try their jasmine teas. My Refresh Me was fruity but only because there was fruits in it. The tea itself was like water. So I had water, sugar, and fruits. Awesome. The Jasmine Milk Tea tasted like Milk and water. So water, milk, and sugar. Awesome. Not coming back here any time soon. Sorry guys. One one note though, the worker had beautiful taste in music. She had Michael Bublé and the godly Frédéric Chopin playing throughout her playlist. It was very enjoyable in terms of waiting for the drinks. That ended when we sipped our drinks though. 2 Stars.

Very friendly girls. Not too many people when I came in the afternoon, but I got a tropical tea with fresh fruits. Nice experience. Had to kill 10 minutes while I got my key fixed and waiting for my cough medicine from Kaiser

I’m a little on the fence about this place. Bf and I stopped by one night to for a taste test… I ordered either a peach blast or a refresh me, and I liked it ok. it wasn’t bad but wasn’t super great either. my boyfriend ordered rosemana. he liked his milktea, but I definitely hated it. one sip and I knew if the rest of the milkteas tasted this way, that I would never order another one from here again lol. it tasted so bland and watered down. the ONLY reasons why I would come back is because 1. the cashier was a total sweetheart. explained pretty much anything that I needed clarification on, and was so nice the entire time 2. I want to try their other fruity teas… there’s got to be ONE item that I’ll absolutely love ** a bonus is that they have a menu with visuals… I love knowing how my food/drinks look like to better help me decide if that’s the one I want or not. kudos for that

I was hoping to lighten my spirits after a disappointing dinner with TLeaf. Unfortunately, it didn’t help *sigh* I ordered the creamer lover specialty drink which is a jasmine green with foam & honey boba. When I got it, it was extremely sweet & the foam didn’t taste great. It was almost artificial-like, yuck! I didn’t see that you can adjust the sweetness level, but the gal at the register didn’t ask me either. At least the honey boba was basically almost perfection with the right amount of sweet & chewiness. Honestly, I couldn’t stomach much of the drink & that makes my boba-lovin’ self really sad. Doubt I’ll be returning to this location for boba. There are better options that I’m willing to go to.

I’ve been here twice and both times my teas haven’t been what I thought they would be? I don’t know if it’s me ordering wrong or whom ever making the teas? I haven’t figured out the whole ‘pearl tea’ world. So I do come in staring at the menu asking questions. And most likely taking up more of there time then the usual customer. The one things I’ve notice both times is that the girls behind the bars are way more into there phone, lab tops, or each other’s conversation then making this new tea place feel welcoming to me at all. I don’t want to say it’s a racial factor but i have felt that way… Me not being of any asian background. Asking question about what’s this or that seem to be annoyance to them and give short unhappy answer back. But hey!!! I will try it again, cause I could have just been there wrong time wrong days… and third time might be my charm! *Will update review when that day comes*

Visited here the other day with my friends who are avid milk tea drinkers. I’m just starting to get hooked on it so I was in search of finding a good place near the Almaden Valley. This place opened up not too long ago, so I was eager to try it out. Parking can definitely get busy, especially during lunch hours; however, if you don’t mind a small walk then there’s still plenty of parking available. The interior is decorated very nicely with the menu displayed right above where to order. It is an extremely small place with limited seating. Luckily when I arrived, it wasn’t too busy so my friends and I easily had a place to sit. However, it was so small that I felt like the people behind the counter could hear every word we were saying. I was a little overwhelmed with all the options of teas and flavors and add-ons I could choose from. I ended up trying the genmaicha tea with almond flavor and black honey pearls. I thought it tasted alright. I didn’t think it was anything spectacular compared to other places around San Jose. It definitely wasn’t my favorite but I think it was just because I wasn’t expecting so much almond flavor. My friends and I happened upon some boba/pearls that were nice and soft and then some that were pretty hard. :/I also wish they had more food options and/or the food options currently available weren’t so expensive. I’m willing to give this place another try especially since I have a BOGO coupon.

New boba places in SJ opening left and right — or maybe I’ve just never tried them or heard about them til recently! But this place was pretty good. No wait, woohoo! Just took a while to decide what we wanted to order. Ended up ordering a rose tie guan yin milk tea for me and a lychee black milk tea for him. The rose tie guan tin milk tea tasted like Teaspoon’s rose petal creama except w/o the cream. I really liked this because I’ve never really been of fan of creamy drinks. I’ve been into rose lately. The lychee black milk tea tasted almost like Tea Lyfe’s, but just a little more watered down and not as strong as a lychee flavor. Oh, and it doesn’t have lychee bits inside, but I’m sure if you wanted, you could add other toppings. I really wish they had samples of their teas but they make each of their teas individually on the spot. Maybe because they’re still new and don’t have frequent customers coming in and out, making a batch of one or two flavors might be a waste. And if it’s been sitting out for a couple hours, it might not have same freshness to it when they first made it, so I totally understand. Would definitely like to try more flavors in the future. They accept card now. I know on the tips I noticed they were cash only before.

there’s another new tea shop in South San Jose! Yay! TLeaf has opened a new location. I really hope this means there’s going to b more specialty tea shops opening around here. I’ve had the milk teas at the Saratoga Ave. location(next to Mitsuwa.) the tea tastes about the same as that one. thank god. this shop is located in a rather large plaza next to a Jenny Craig n Pizza My Heart. so parking is not an issue. it’s small inside, but there’s like 2 or 3 tables for customers to sit down to enjoy their teas. I liked how there’s a black n white mural of Taipei 101 on the side wall. the menu is pretty simple. pick n choose the tea. then pick the type of milk.(didn’t understand«fresh milk?» they have a cow in the back or what?) then add on the flavor n toppings. they didn’t have any teas out to sample the day I went. maybe it was still too early in the day. I ordered an A Li Shan Oolong milk tea with egg pudding with original sweetness.(wasn’t too sweet at all.) it was delicious. the egg pudding was perfect too. n the pieces were pretty large too! maybe next time I’ll try the Peach Oolong. that sounds good too!
