Wow. Just wow. We are from NY but visiting family in San Jose and we were really missing Dunkin Donuts. A search on Unilocal revealed The Donut Basket and I am so glad that it did! Their donuts are soft and delicious and their breakfast sandwiches are amazing. But what made me come back for four days in a row is the Vietnamese iced coffee. Better than Dunkin, better than Starbucks. So good! I’m actually back home in NY and have been searching for a Vietnamese restaurant here that might make coffee that is that good! This is a must visit for yummy breakfast food.

My family and I have been coming here for years, but I’m just now getting around to writing a review. I love this place and sometimes will come in just for the self-serve Hazelnut coffee. They have a nice variety of coffees to choose from. Unlike some reviewers, I would not recommend their croissants– they’re dense and taste like frozen dough. My kids usually have the bacon and egg bagel sandwich and love it. Don’t let the storefront fool you– it’s a great place with really decent/hardworking people running it!

Rude rude rude! I walked in waited in line and a lady walked in after me yelled her order and they served her while still looking at me! I said something like hello here is the line and they both continued. I will never come back to this place.

It’s one of those sketchy/ratchet tiny asian places that is actually a good find and wonderfully delicious! I always get their croissant sandwich with a boba drink. Love it here. Employees are very sweet and kind. I would definitely recommend it!

This place is really yummy! Everything is really fresh. I love their lox sandwich. After my second time in, the lovely lady already new my order! I didn’t even have to say it. Their vietnamese coffee is DELICIOUS also. The only thing stopping it from being 5 stars is that the lettuce kinda feels like fast food lettuce. I would definitely recommend!

Great donuts, very consistent and fresh. We’re basically weekend regulars here, and our young daughter loves coming up to the glass and picking her donut on saturday morning.

What a cute shop! Came here on a whim and I’m glad I did. The staff is friendly, and the shop has a great selection of food and drinks. I got their egg and cheese on an everything bagel and of course, Vietnamese iced coffee. Perfect breakfast after a day of drinking :)

The kids love this place. The donuts are a balance if not being too sugary and light enough that an adult can enjoy it too. They also feature a deli to make breakfast sandwiches. Pretty good overall! This is our go to place.

This is a great place to grab a breakfast sandwich. They have a wide variety of hot and cold sandwiches that are pictured on the wall so it’s easy to select what you like, and they have croissants or bread. They don’t make many donuts daily so if you need a dozen or a particular type then go very early because they run out quickly. The donuts are fresh and yummy but with limited selection. There is a nice selection of beverages and always plenty of fresh coffee, and the staff is friendly. It‘s a bit of a dive that sits directly on the street before the freeway but if traffic is light the patio tables outside are nice.

I have had their coffee here a few times, and it is a good price and well worth your main attraction here is the doughnuts. I usually get cinnamon twists – they are a little more than the non-cinnamon twists, but are very fresh and tasty. I have also had their sunflower, apple fritter, jelly doughnut, croissants, and old-fashioned.All quite tasty, and big is not fancy inside, but there are a few places to sit if you really need to, and there are a couple wood tables outside the afternoons you often see locals playing board games out is a friendly atmosphere and the service is courteous.

Was really craving a bagel Sunday morning, and I’ve lived across the street from this place for 2 years now and thought it was worth a shot to try. It’s very snug in here, and there were quite a few people ordering donuts and breakfast sandwiches. Felt a little overwhelmed with all the photos of the various sandwiches in front of me as the space is so tight. There were a handful of tables tucked into the back and I noticed one lady’s feet were right next to tubs of cleaning products. The crossaints, especially with filling like ham and cheese looked huge and delicious. I was debating but really wanted that bagel! Went with a sesame bagel with cream cheese for about $ 2 with tax. Not bad, but no fancy shmears here, just good old Philadelphia cream cheese(as i could tell from the giant Costco tubs). Everyone seems to know the workers here, definitley a family shop vibe. Will come again for the crossaints to try~

The Donut Basket has become a habit. I agree with other Unilocalers: It’s all about the coffee! But honestly, I can’t get past the Vietnamese Iced Coffee. SOGOOD. The breakfast sandwiches are amazingly greasy and awesome… reminds me of the Easy Coast breakfast sandwiches. Yum!

I’ve only had the breakfast croissants and coffee, but they’ve both been great. Really fast and friendly service. Great location close to the freeway access.

A great dive-y donut and breakfast sandwich shop. Try the vietnamese coffee, it’s quite good! We got a egg and bacon on a bagel. The egg and bacon was cooked in the microwave, which wasn’t the greatest. The bagel however was very fresh and lightly toasted. We got a couple of cake-like donuts, they were very good too.

We stopped by The Donut Basket for a quick breakfast. The selection was a bit limited, but I decided I would pick something standard. The service was quick and the doughnuts were good.

Donuts!!! That is really all I have to say about this place, they have great donuts. I was happy to discover to place and found out they have some of the best donuts in the area. I have been to several donuts shops and now this is one of my favorites and will continue to come here for my donuts. If you do not want Donuts, then they make sandwiches, and other goodies. I hear the contractors leaving that they are enjoying their coffee, so I am guessing that is good too(not a coffee drinker).
