My favorite sushi place. I went here with my cousin about 2 years ago and I really liked it. Like what a lot of other Unilocalers are saying, the service is not that great. It was pretty slow. My cousin and I sat at the bar so as sushi went along, we grabbed it. We didn’t have to wait. The sushi there is good, it wasn’t bad. Could be better of course. I’m disappointed that this place is not closed. The only thing I didn’t like was the salad, it just didn’t taste natural and healthy. Tasted artificial to me. I got to meet one of the chefs, James. And he was really nice, he was always smiling and was very fast paced on making the sushi for us. Like any sushi place, the price was kind of high. I caught myself eating plate after plate(Good thing I don’t get fat, I stay fit) and in the end, the bill came out to be pretty expensive… sad part is, I wasn’t even full yet. Overall… Pros+ : 1. Delicious sushi 2. Great atmosphere/surrounding 3. Employees there were supportive. Cons-: 1. It’s now CLOSED 2. If you sit at the regular table, you will probably wait for a while, but if you go to the bar, it’s quick. 3. Salad was not that great. === So, I’m pretty disappointed that Sushi Boat is now closed. I heard about it and had to write a review.

Ehh… the only reason why I ended up here was because my friend and I were completely famished after Christmas shopping for nearly three hours. That, and we were craving sushi and it was mid-day, when all the other sushi restaurants were closed. We ordered three rolls: 49ers( ), Louisiana, and Volcano( ) and a wakami appetizer( ). The only roll that was fairly decent was the 49ers roll. The salmon was mediocre and the slices of lemon were fresh – can’t really go wrong there. The other two rolls were just way too mushy. The texture of the rice was equivalent to the texture of… I would say, porridge? Oatmeal? I don’t know, it was gross. The tab wasn’t very appealing either. You can imagine how high the prices are, considering it’s located in a shopping mall. All in all, I would never come back here and I wouldn’t suggest coming here either.

Had takeout from here the other night and would give this place 2 stars: Poke Salad: Pretty bad… Highly UNrecommended Hamachi and Salmon Sashimi: Relatively small portions, but decently tasty. We also had a couple of rolls, but while they were decent, they weren’t anything to write home about. In the end, we wanted fast sushi, we got fast sushi(sort of… it took them 15 – 20 minutes to prepare while we waited in the empty restaurant at the time, so i guess in the end it wasn’t that fast). Happy Boating!
