I came into this starbucks to order two iced coffee and ordered two venti iced water, and this was the first time that I have encountered Starbucks that doesn’t give out venti iced water, and the barista wanted to charge me for whole milk! horrible service.

This is a typical Starbucks, Service is good and the location is perfect, right in the heart of the Alum Rock business district. BUT… The problem I have with this location is all the trash in front of their shop. There is always litter on the sidewalk and in the parking spaces in the front. Do they have no pride in their business? Do they not care that people avoid going there because of the trash. I have never seen a Starbucks look this trashy, never. I thought they cared about the communities they are located in and I thought they had pride in their business. It is disheartening that such a global company allows their store to look like it does. Hopefully they care about the community and that they will clean up their act! I’m going to my local coffee shop instead.

This has been my regular Starbucks daily Everything is good but out of the whole crew they have there one guy a bald hispanic dude I don’t know his name but seriously his customer service is horrible… he’s rude… and just not pleasant at all. I walked up one day and he says«what do you want» I was like –_-. u seriously suck! I think if I come back and see him I’ll turn around it’s just not even cool

I know that I have more cons than pros listed, but give them a try if you’re in the area. The people who work there are super friendly most of the time and you get decent service(just not the fastest). They made a mistake on my drink today, and they were more than happy to remake it for me. Pros: — the baristas are surprisingly friendly A++ — looks like there are a lot of locals come here and they are familiar with the baristas — not really crowded in the mornings on week days Cons: — bad parking area — next to a high school so you have random groups of kids being loud and hanging out inside even though they didn’t purchase anything — not the fastest service location — make mistakes on my drinks 1⁄3 times — baristas have a habit of chatting and gossiping behind the counter — not the best neighborhood

PROS: When this particular Starbucks opened, there was this amazing manager that really knew his coffee! A matter of fact, did you know that you can do a «coffee tasting»? YEP! They will actually show you how to smell, and sip the way they do back in Seattle… you actually«cup» the small espresso cup to hold the aroma and then bring up to your nose and remove your hand allowing the beautiful aroma to escape… then they’ll show you how to sip it! Amazing, right? I don’t see him any longer and wished that he would have shared that with new manager! I had many a time needed to preorder large quantities for a reception and they were on time and prepared for me to pick up… I hope they’ll continue to have that service. I have read some other reviews and it seems as though it’s not so… So, guys/gals there at «my» community Starbucks… show them, how classy I know you can be! You’re amazing… keep up the good work!

This location was definitely slower than I’m used to. The honey and I picked up a cheese and fruit snack to tide us over until dinner and a long day of chores and while his reg coffee was fine the cashier was confused by my order. I’d stated no drizzle, and clarified caramel, and she made me a full on coffee frappechino sans flavor. It tasted fine so I stuck with it. There was a good variety of food available and it was really nice to find sweet 15 min parking for us to sit a spell and eat our fruit and go back on the road. All in all a decent location, but definitely on the glitchy side.

Had the worst experience this morning. I was the only person in line and the«baristas» were standing around chatting. I waited at the register for 15 minutes until they took my order. This has happened to me at this location more than once. Won’t be going there again.

They are one of the slowest Starbucks I’ve ever gone to, there’s always long lines here so definitely don’t hold your breath when waiting for your coffee. I’ve had two orders to go that didn’t even start until I got there. If their workers are going to be so slow, there needs to be more people on staff.

As Unilocal would say«Yay, I’m a fan.» I do agree with Unilocal on the 4 star review description. This location made me feel super loved as a customer. The baristas showed a genuine interest in my order and making sure it was right. What sucks? Would you be shocked to know it is parking at this location? You have to park and hope you can get out while all the cars are flying down the main street. There is a back lot but it is usually in high demand. Enjoy your beverage and say hi to the nice staff at this Starbucks location.

Waiting in counter to order even there re 4 – 5 workers and no one in the line but me but they didnt get my order yet. I don’t know why they kept me to wait for more than 5 minutes.

I go here all the time after school or after track practice when I’m hot as hell and need a drink. On some occasions I come here to charge my phone.LOL. I’m okay with how they make my drinks, in addition, the baristas are really friendly. All in all, not the best Starbucks but I love Ralph and his humor, lmao.

Worst Starbuck I’ve ever been to, the service is what drives me away god awful bartista’s who come of condescending when you order. I usually get tea drinks and they always fill my cup half with ice on a $ 4 drink. I always wondered y there Tip jar is always near empty, now I know why

I hate this place the employees are SO rude. They always give me attitude. And they always do my drink different. I wouldn’t recommend this place. I love all the other Starbucks but I hate this one.

This is a great starbucks. I find the baristas are always very pleasant and my coffee is always prepared perfectly and very quickly. The seating area is quite large and often you will find students working on their homework for college or local people just having a pleasant conversation and enjoying their Java. It is quite busy in the morning and sometimes there’s a little line but I’ve never been late for work because of this starbucks. Try it you’ll like it and when you do tell him Karen sent you.

I stop into this Starbucks often as I drive by every morning. On Monday I went in to grab a cup of dark roast coffee(my usual) and was told«sorry we are out but we have Pike.» This is a pretty regular occurrence so I told this barista who is new to this store that they are either always out of dark roast coffee or raw sugar. Fast forward and now it’s the end of the week, I stop in to get my cup of coffee and guess what line I get by that same barista? «Sorry we are out of raw sugar» Some things never change.

Average ambiance, average drinks, average service. Overall, average. Nothing special to brag or complain about here. Some minor tips: — Limited amount of parking spaces in front(and it’s hard to back out into the street), so save yourself the trouble and park in the lot in the back. There’s a tiny driveway to the lot on the side on White Rd. Don’t miss it! — If you’re planning on coming here to work/study, good luck finding a spot to sit on weekdays after 3pm. James Lick HS is right across the street so lots of students come here for their fixes and stay back. I just avoid coming here after 3pm. — Bathrooms here are below average compared to other Starbucks locations, so I avoid going here. Do yourself a favor and do your business elsewhere. Soap is scarce as well. :/

I stopped in at this Starbucks right before a friends wedding over the weekend. Parking was tough, we had to park around the block and was a bit concerned to be honest, the neighborhood did not appear to be the safest. We made it into the store without issue and the baristas were very friendly. In fact, the barista seemed to be running the whole joint. He not only made our drinks but also rang us up for them too. I think his counterpart was stocking things in the back or something because he was the only one we saw until we were about to leave. We got our drinks quickly so we had no complaints here. On the way back to our car, we had a homeless guy follow us all the way back and ask for change. First it was a dollar and then he was down to a quarter. He even went to the driver side door and waited until we drove away. He was harmless but not what you want to deal with when you’re just going in for a coffee. ***Footnote for Marc. D. I come to this location every time I go visit my boyfriend in the Alum Rock area. I like the location because i can get in and out and everyone is super nice! Ralph is very friendly and funny too! He’s a great asset to the team at this location. He makes my experience just 100% pleasant! And he never messes up my order! I will continue to to come to this location!
