I talked with Yuka on the phone, who was very kind and informed me that they could not rent a piano for an outdoor wedding ceremony. After finishing our call, I called back later to see if they could refer me to another rental place. I talked with a male representative on the phone instead, who upon hearing about an outdoor ceremony, promptly hung up on me. (I wasn’t even able to ask him if they had any recommendations.)
I found this very rude, so I recommend that you talk to Yuka if you call.

We recently bought a used W series Yamaha upright from Silicon Valley Piano. They deal in new and used Pianos and have a large selection of used uprights. Our sales person was patient and put up with us and our children (the Pianists in the family).
Delivery was prompt. Price was reasonable. A warranty call was promptly and courteously handled with no hassle a few weeks later. When it comes time to trade up, I will certainly go there first.

I can fully recommend Silicon Vally Piano. I made the rounds to several other stores before finally making my purchase. They were all nice and helpful, but it turns out that SVPiano had what it took for me to stop shopping and just buy it. The sales person, Phil Young, was very knowledgeable (a piano technician), attentive – without being pushy, responded to what I wanted (even as this changed over time), and ultimately steered me towards a very affordable Ritmuller 48″ upright that was more piano – in terms of quality of sound, action/​feel, and aesthetics – than the other pianos I was considering. It’s nice when someone can help me break loose with several thousand dollars with a smile.
