My insurance company hired Servpro NE to address water damage from a leaking refrigerator line. They were professional and helpful. It was easy to communicate with them over via text message(sooooo convenient with my job not to have to jump out of meetings constantly to answer the phone). I didn’t feel threatened or bullied the way I had with the other water damage companies that tried to use scare tactics to get us to sign contracts with them. They even double-checked the work of a prior water damage company(not covered under the insurance claim) to verify everything was completely dry. Even though they had the opportunity to charge us for more work(there was no way I was crawling under the house to check myself), they were honest and fair and let us know that no additional work was needed. My only complaint is a few times workers showed up late or ended up needing to return because they didn’t allow enough time to finish their work before the next appointment. This meant I had to miss more work than I planned for the job to get finished.

We had a leak under a hardwood floor that my insurance company hired Servpro NE to address. The parquet floor was cupping by the time it was discovered and obviously needed replacing. Instead of pulling up the ruined part of the floor to help dry out the subfloor, Servpro set up its blowers for two days and then pulled it up so it would actually dry out, thus delaying the process. Then they said it was dry but the hardwood floor contractor determined that it was not. They came back and confirmed that it was not dry and set up blowers again. In the process of doing their work they damaged the adjacent slate floor. They left the area open the second time that they set up blowers despite my telling them that I was on medication which suppressed my immunities and could not be exposed to mold, etc. The work was done in early Nov. 2012 and they agreed to replace the tile floor after sending out an inspector. We agreed on a price in mid Feb. 2013, but then they decided to send it to their insurance company for payment. The insurance company had an adjuster inspect the damage and on Mar. 7, the adjuster inspected. On April 6 the adjuster and I agreed to settle the claim for the original amount agreed to with the Servpro representative and it is now almost 3 weeks later and I still have not been paid. My overall impression is that the people in charge of the workmen are well intentioned, but in my case, the workmen themselves were inefficient and negligent in the way they performed what should have been a simple fix. If they perform the work negligently and agree to pay you for the damages they cause, expect extreme delays in payment.

So we had an washer/dryer valve explode and flood the townhouse we are renting, and servpro stopped by the day it happended to give advice. It was nice that they followed up via a phone call, checking in and not being too pushy. There were some other ‘ambulance chasers’ that stopped by that were extremely rude and threatend my fiancé which was not cool. So we gave them a chance and they were very professional, doing all the demolition in one day then runnning humidifiers and fans to get the place 100% dry. The fans though are Extremely loud, and it is difficult to sleep with them in the house. They had to be run for about 3 days, but at least the humidifiers warmed up the place a bit! Brody Gregg was great, and I will definitely suggest them to a client whose house is damaged, but I will warn them to stay at a hotel!

Had to recently use Servpro for a recent small fire in my kitchen. The representative showed up on time and to my delight informed me that I had minimal damage and gave me some alternative’s to help with odor besides his services. He followed with me a week later with a phone call and the odor was gone! I really appreciated the integrity and honest Servpo offers! One happy customer!
