There’s not tons to do here, but it’s a cute little park. It has a play area for kids, a basketball court and large grassy area. It’s not highly trafficked so it’s usually pretty quiet.

As Noelle J. mentioned one of the best parts about this part is that it has AMPLEPARKING! The fact that it is tucked away also means that you don’t have to deal with noisy, busy main street traffic when you have small children. I like Paul Moore Park a lot(over on Hillsdale and Cherry) BUT… it borders two different busy streets, which makes it a bit scary if you’re a mum looking to relax a little with your kids. This open park has everything… two different play sets depending on age(with slides, jungle gym, the works), some riding toys, and, SWINGS! An added bonus of this park is brand new, sturdy built in table with barbecue pits. The giant soccer-field sized open grassy area is well-kept and cushy. It’s nice to see good ol wood chips instead of that hard rubber foam stuff surrounding the play gyms as well. Now if I could just get our youngest to stop eating them… ;)

the world according to noelle, 2013 noelle’s Unilocal notebook — — — — — — — – the quick details — — — — — — — – business: City of San Jose Park parking: Parking along the park((located in a residential neighborhood) price: free stroller friendly: yes restroom: no family friendly: yes noelle’s favorites: the large green area, the playground and tot lot. Rubino Park is tucked away in the largest Kaufman and Broad housing development in the Willow Glen area of San Jose. They have a large green area, tot lot, playground, basketball court, picnic tables– all which are meticulously maintained. This is a great place if you want to walk or jog around the large green area on the cemented side walk. The lack of restrooms at this park is due to the fact it’s primary audience are the families that live in homes that surround the park. This is a great park for families!!! The zip code on the Unilocal page reflects– 95158 which is incorrect. Rubino Park is located in the 95125 area of San Jose. See Rubino Park is surrounded by:

This is our new favorite local park! It is a small little hideaway with two play areas and a big field. We visited for the first time on a warm spring evening and the park was hopping with the under 5 set. Im talking more than 10 families… Jett loved the multiple slides, the ride on motorcycle and the cool huge«rope» ladder. This is a great, clean place to get your kiddos out for some fresh air. Parking is parallel only. There are no bathrooms.

Rubino Park is a small neighborhood park nestled behind a few housing developments. It has a grass patch a bit larger than a football field. It gets swampy during the raining season. I usually play ball with my 2 dogs and at times they get wet from running in the unseen puddles. Still a great area to play catch with the kid or have a soccer or football game! There is 2 playgrounds for the little ones and the grounds are well taken care of by the city. Also on the playground side of the park is picnic tables, BBQ’s and water fountains. There is NORESTROOMS! On the opposite side of the field there is the 1-basketball court, few picnic tables w/BBQ pits and a water fountain! Parking is along side the street. Make sure you lockup! I’ve been coming here for a few years to let my dogs run. I’ve noticed the City of San Jose continuing to maintain this park at a high level! It always clean, grass and playgrounds are up to par. They even provide bags for dog droppings! Get your kids outside and take them to the park to play a real game!
