For over 10 years, R&R managed a rental that my parents owned. In the beginning they were great, but over the last three years, their service became questionable. For example, the manager, Cathy, didn’t return my parents’ phone calls and inquiries about repairs or rent. They recently sold the house and were horrified by how R&R treated them. The tenants had left the place in a deteriorated state — far more worn out than reasonably expected, with little evidence of the paid for repairs(e.g. water damage, broken doors, broken windows, torn carpeting etc). At the final walk through, R&R acted like they were there to represent the tenant, not the owners, making excuses for the wear and tear and damage. Moreover, they refused to charge the tenants for damages done. The final blow was having to remind R&R to give my parents the final rent payment and R&R deducting the incorrect amount from the tenants’ security deposit. My family lived in this house for 8 years, it was our first real house and holds a special place in all of our hearts. It is no less than heartbreaking the condition that R&R Properties left it in and the way they treated quite possibly the most generous property owners you can imagine(in 14 years, my parents barely raised the rent, and even lowered it when the tenants had some financial trouble). Don’t use R&R.
