Geez, before I even had a chance to review Pizza Vino Bar(PVB), it went out of business. Their claims were«Perfectly blistered wood-fired next-generation pizza joint» and«The Chef», We are the only Restaurant located in Westfield Valley Fair with a Michelin Star Chef. Our Chef, Michael Miller is a two time Michelin Star Chef; Trevese in Los Gatos, 2009 and 2010. Was it possible that on my visit Chef Miller was out sick? Sadly, my Pepperoni pizza left much to be desired. First off, how was this wood-fired? If it wasn’t because I saw the wood fired oven, I never would have known. Far from perfect, I simply didn’t care for the crust. The pizza came out crazy fast so maybe that’s why? The sauce and the few bits of pepperoni just didn’t cut it for me. If Neapolitan Style Pizza means bland, then no thanks. The Dining Terrace was packed with hungry lunch timers yet PVD was completely empty. Even the bar was empty. The only positive thing was the price, it was just right. But I’d rather spend the same at Pieology or Top This Pizza. Hello, are you guys listening? Vacancy, open up here! PVB’s new claim should be «business with the shortest duration at Valley Fair». It appears they are scheduled to eventually open at another location so I will give them a chance to redeem themselves. Why? Because I love me some wood fired pizza. Maybe this time, Chef Miller will show up so I can devour a Michelin rated Pizza. *2.5 stars

Visited this place twice in the past week because we loved their pizza and salads. Both times lights were on in the back and saw someone working. Sad to say — just found out that they are officially closed. The guy in the back seemed to be just taking out the kegs. So long PizzaVino Bar, didn’t even get through half of your menu.

I had to come to the mall today and was hoping to try PizzaVino. However it looks like they’ve closed already. Such a bummer!

I was at Valley Fair recently and decided to have lunch at the new dining terrace. I had the Napa pizza. It had arugula, walnuts, grapes, prosciutto, goat cheese and figs on it. It was very good — nice char on the bottom, good crust. I really liked it. The price was not too high compared to some of the other places at the dining terrace. I definitely will try the place again. They did have a nice bar area that would be nice to sit at if you did not want to sit in the main eating area.

***** According to Tram ***** +BLT pizza w/a fried egg + love the fresh tomatoes, not overly crispy bacon, and the greens were tolerable for someone that doesn’t eat vegetables. the fried egg was too well done(I prefer it runny) but perhaps I will ask for a runny egg next time + dining on the terrace + casual yet intimate; great date spot + cool bar on the terrace + fireplace lounge area + friendly staff + reasonably priced + family friendly + chairs not that comfortable Look at my pictures. I need not say more.

I decided to try out Vino Pizza Bar(one of the new restaurants part of Westfield Valley Fair’s renovated food court) for the first time after checking out all of the new places to eat here. It was a slow weekday evening around 7:30pm and I was excited to try out the new pizzas at Vino Pizza Bar. I ordered the Gilroy Garlic Pizza since I am a huge fan of garlic! First impression of a few workers there was that they did not want to help me with my order and actually thought they were already closed… at 7:30pm…really?(every other restaurant closes at 9pm first of all). Mainly some high school kids working here. It took them a couple minutes to realize I wanted to order a pizza(I was the only customer there at the time…). They made it seem like it was a huge hassle to make a pizza for me. I could tell they didn’t want to be there. I’m a simple person, not really asking for special treatment. Finally placed my order and they were actually pretty quick making the pizza. The pizza looked a little rushed(probably because of all the people waiting in line… not). C’mon now, frozen pizzas look better than this mess. When I took a bite into the pizza I could already tell the dough was under cooked. The sauce was a little weak, not generous at all. The only parts of the pizza I really enjoyed were the garlic(of course!) and the mozzarella. Overall first impressions of the place: Service/employee interaction and pizza was ok, seemed rushed. I’d gladly go back to Sbarro when they had it there before the remodeling(better pizza for less money).

3 ½ star review. After exploring all of the new options at Valley Fair’s new Dining Terrace, I decided to try Pizza Vino Bar. I opted for the«Shrimp and Chorizo» pizza, but since I’m a wimp when it comes to spiciness, I swapped out Italian sausage for the chorizo. I enjoyed the thin crust with tomatillo cilantro sauce, Gouda cheese, & scallions. It was supposed to have roasted tomatoes, but they forgot it and I was too hungry to wait longer. Tips for you: 1. They sell alcohol 2. They also charge for soda refills My lunch was good, but not great. The price was a little high for a food court lunch(I know, it’s not a food court anymore). I’d be willing to give Pizza Vino Bar another try in the future.

Came in yesterday after deciding a drink was necessary to deal with all the people/traffic at the mall. Thankfully, it was happy hour. 20% off everything on tap, got an IPA for $ 6.09. They’re menu also had wines on tap(wine on tap?!) but they were out of every Chardonnay except for Jerkel which was $ 10 a glass. The outside patio/bar seating was a really nice touch as well.

Finally decided to give Valley Fair’s new«dining terrace» a shot despite knowing the fact that the mall would be disastrous during the holiday season. I’ve been tracking Pizza Vino Bar since they opened since you always need to have restaurants work out their kinks when they first open. It’s definitely marketed as a place with«fancier» pizzas and provides a good variety of beers and wines. The ordering process was slower than I’d liked, mainly because the person taking our order couldn’t figure out how to work the computer to replace the cheese on my pizza. I ordered the Napa pizza(replaced the goat cheese with mozzarella) and my bf had the Islands Pizza. Once we were finally done(seemed like ages), we got a buzzer and left to find ourselves a table. The pizza took about 8 – 10 mins, which wasn’t too bad. Once we got the pizzas, it was definitely smaller than I had anticipated, given the price that we paid. I would compare it to a personal sized pizza you would get at a larger pizza chain. Combination of the different ingredients was okay for me, but it definitely wasn’t memorable. Tomato sauce base was a little bit too sour for my liking, but everyone has different tastes. Would I come back? Maybe, but there’s still a lot more options here to try out before I consider coming back.

Stopped by the food court amidst the craziness that is Christmas shopping, and was able to grab a seat at the bar of PizzaVino. First off, I love the fact that they are serving beer at the mall and secondly, I love that they are serving beer and pizza together(because you can never go wrong with that combo). I was able to build my own pizza with roasted garlic, mushrooms, and duck confit. It was delicious! Love the idea that you can create your own pizza and that they are using quality *gourmet* toppings. Anyway, the service was pretty quick considering they are making the pizzas to order, and the bartender was really helpful in recommendations with the beer selection. Will definitely be coming back!

I had to watch the 49ers & Seahawks game in the middle of my holiday shopping… so I quickly stopped by Pizza Vino Bar as it seemed to be the only place in the food court with TV(and a bar…). They have my favorite beers(Allagash White & Scrimshaw), they also serve a decent selection of wines. I got an order of their risotto croquettes and they were delicious. Fried to perfection, these crispy golden balls were topped with cheese and sprinkles of truffles, sitting in a pool of marinara and shredded basil. It was the perfect munchies for me while watching the game. In the food court. The service was prompt and friendly. As I was sitting there I couldn’t stop staring at their pizzas. I think I will have to come back and give the pizza a try!

Located in Westfield Valley Fair’s Dining Terrace! I am definitely a fan of their pizza ever since the Grand opening. From customizing your own & specialties pizzas are ON point! I’ve came here I couple of times already and I had the Roasted Rosemary Chicken Pizza without the Potatoes. so yummy — I definitely recommend it. I love coming here. Staff is superior on their friendly side. It’s a family owned restaurant kind of feel located in the food court area. If you’re missing this place, it’s also located to the right of Loving Hut. This place also has a bar. Not only for drinks you can also order food while you are sitting at the bar. Half of the bar serves indoor or the other half of the bar you can sit outside where they have built an outdoor patio. I can’t wait to come back for their appetizers!!!

WoW, wonderfully creative pizza! Tried this place for the first time and ordered the Cioppino pizza. On it, were shrimp, real crab meat, roasted red peppers, caramelized onions, and a tomato clam sauce(which I was wary of at first). After trying it, I’m so glad that I got it. It was done perfectly! The cheese was very soft, it may have been buffalo mozzarella… not entirely sure. Nonetheless, the combination was perfect! Price for this, I believe was $ 13 for a personal size round. For me, it was just a tad too much food. However, since it was so good, I finished it all up! Can’t wait to go back to have it again! Next time, having a nice wine to go with it. By the way, their pizza are made to order and you’ll be given a number when it’s ready. Yum!

True story, I did NOT want to eat here. On a Saturday evening after church, we ended up at the mall. Who knew the dinning terrace at Valley Fair would be so fancy dancy and crowded as ever. Hungry and indecisive, I ordered different things at the food court. Happy girl with her food. Not so happy with no seating. Guess where I’m going with this? Empty seats at Pizza Vino Bar, I clearly knew I had to ordered something to be seated. Got myself a drink and was content. Little did you know, the cute girl that was working beguiled me into looking at the menu. There, SONOMADUCKCONFIT pizza got me jumping up and down. A friendly guy who sat near me reassured how good the Sonoma duck confit pizza was as he slowly consumed his pizza. Let me tell you, it was amazing with dried apricot, fennel, bacon, and fresh mozzarella topping. The dried apricot was simply a unique taste. Friendly and talkative staff(the girl was also lovely). Looking forward to trying their other signature pizzas. Cheers to a good belly bursting meal.

I had high hopes for Pizza Vino Bar since I heard chef Michael Miller was behind this new spot inside Valley Fair’s new dining terrace. Miller use to be the chef at the Silicon Valley Capital Club restaurant which I absolutely loved. The space is nice and they also have a bar as well that is both inside and outside the dining space. I got to try the braised short rib pizza and the duck confit pizza. I don’t know if I went on an off day or not but my braised short rib pizza didn’t look like the picture I saw on Unilocal. The braised short rib looked like just small dry shredded pieces of short rib and it didn’t really have that much flavor either. The same goes for the duck confit. It was kinda dry and I love pizza, don’t get me wrong but for the price I paid, I expected something more. I might try their pizza again or try to customize my own but I hope they make sure that the quality matches the prices as well.

Surprisingly tasty for something in a mall. We went here late Friday night when one of our other choices nearby closed at 9pm. Between 3 of us we got: –Beef short rib pizza –Smoked trout and roe pizza –Duck confit pizza –Grilled bacon skewers –Corned beef sandwich –Fried shrimp Everything was pretty good. The bonus surprise was that they had tater tots with the sandwich. Bonus points for that. The space is nice and new and there’s the terrace that they’re adjacent to for outside dining. Certainly beats your average food court fare.

I had lunch with a friend on their opening day. I had the margarita pizza and a beer. We sat outside on the terrace. The order taker forgot to input my pizza so I had to reorder when my friend’s food was delivered. This was a nuissance. The pizza was tasty. But, it’s a california pizza. It’s not oily and thin like a new york pizza.(which is my favorite) It’s not thick like a chicago pizza. Check out the menu because it has some new toppings not seen in traditional pizzerias. I like it because it’s close to my work and I can eat on the terrace. It is superior by all means to a sbarro.

PizzaVino Bar, in the newly revamped food court at Westfield Valley Fair mall, is wonderful! The primary offerings are pizzas and sandwiches, but … oh, they’re far from ordinary! You can«build your own» pizza from a very large and interesting list of ingredients(ranging from the standard of sausage, pepperoni, etc, to exotic items like fried eggs, smoked trout, pulled pork, and duck confit; choose from one of three or four sauces), or choose one of their Signature Pizzas. I had a Signature Pizza: a braised short ribs with Burgundy sauce.(Although it would normally come with roasted vegetables and wilted greens, I said«nay nay» to the veggies: I’m a non-vegetarian :) It was excellent. The crust was just right(not too crispy, not too soft), the sauce was tasty, and the buffalo mozzarella was quite good. I was able to taste an appetizer, the Maple Griller Bacon Skewers. Quite tasty(and, too generous with the portion size!) They offer three kinds of salads, at least five sandwiches(IIRC, I saw more on their board) Seemed like half a dozen interesting beers on tap. Although I noticed a lot of wine, I don’t recall enough to comment about it. Seating is either indoor or outdoor and is a mixture of tables, couches, and bar stools. I was greeted by friendly staff, and enjoyed watching the chef fix my pizza in front of me … and got a chance to ask questions about the cuisine. I’ll be back … probably for«Islands» pizza(smoked pulled pork with pineapple).
