Love their selection of pastries that go with coffee. Cronuts, just try them. My apple pastry was delicious and their coffee was fine. French pastries in a Japanese strip mall shows the diversity of California which I love.

Cute place with a good selection of baked goods… Breads, pastries, cakes, coffee, pre packed salads, sandwiches, fruit. This place reminds me of 85 bakery but just not as busy and a bit less of a selection, but it’s exactly the same concept… If your close by I suggest checking it out, cool concept of helping your self to whatever looks good– then going to the register and paying.

Like this place for the pastries and lately they have started carrying savory items as well! We asked them to warm the spinach/feta puff pastry and it was yummy! Only issue is the stuff is way too expensive!!! The checkout counter people are sometimes plain rude or indifferent; occasionally you will encounter a friendly person. I go there for the pastries; but i avoid going there more often due to their poor service, or lack of any that is. Several times their staff is chatting away, what would it take for them to walk out from behind the counter and give me my $$ cappuccino instead of calling out for me to get it???

I wish the café section worked a lot faster. I waited about 15 min and it wasn’t even that busy. I almost left because I didn’t think it was worth to wait that long. I would much rather come there for pastries :/

Saturday, 2:30PM. Quickie: * Food quality — Limited bread selection + Friendly staff — Hygiene And then??? We may have caught this location on a bad day. They only had sweet pastries and not many options(e.g., raspberry tart, apple tart). One more try! ********** Constructive comments: *Option to compost? *Source ingredients? *More variety(savory or sweet)?

Paris Baguette did not disappoint me. At my old job, I was diagonally across from PB in Cupertino. However, I heard that it was consisted mostly of sweets, so I never bothered to stop by, simply due to the fact that I prefer savory pastries over sweet ones. I only stopped by this PB because it’s close to my new job, and I needed to get a cake for my niece’s birthday. I came in with the intention of just placing an order for the cake to pick up at a later time, however, I was reeled into the delicious smells and the savory pastries. And this only happened, because my eye caught the last Royal Pudding sitting in the cold section, and I just went down a spiraling hole from there. Every time I come to a pastry shop, I spend at least $ 10-$ 15 on goodies… and this time was no different. I grabbed the Royal pudding, then I saw that there were things like the Hawaiian roll, which had spicy sausage and cheese corn on it. OMG, AMAZING. Sausage and cheese croissant was interesting because the croissant itself was somewhat sweet… I also grabbed a pumpkin cheesecake because I LOVE pumpkin, however that disappointed me… because it really didn’t taste like pumpkin or American Cheesecake. It was most along the lines of Japanese cheesecake where it’s soft(Think, Uncle Tetsu Cheesecake if you’ve ever had it). I was pretty satisfied with my choices and they all tasted fairly good. When i came back later that evening to pick up the birthday cake, I saw even more options… but I had to resist. Now, with every cake order, you need at least a 24 hour notice if you want writing on the cake. However, they do offer a «happy birthday» chocolate and free birthday candles with yoru order, which i think is pretty awesome. The cake come with a cake cutter and matches to light the candles! I got the smaller fruit cake, that feeds 8 people and I was very pleased with it. The cake itself was nice and moist, but not overly sweet like cake usually is. My family and I aren’t fond of super sweet stuff, so this was just right for us. The cake had blackberries, strawberries, and grape as décor, and the filling inside is actually strawberries. It was great, and my 1 year old niece very much enjoyed the strawberries and the softness of the cake. I wouldn’t go out of my way for PB, but it’s pretty darn good and on par with 85. If I’m ever n the area, I’d rather support the small mom and pop bakery on the other side of the plaza. But I definitely have to come back to get my cousin a royal pudding to try.

I love Paris Baguette but I usually frequent the one on El Camino. This location doesn’t have as much foot traffic as the El Camino one so it means that popular items like the milk puddings are almost always in stock even late in the day! I recommend you trying their garlic baby croissants, their milk pudding and their blueberry chiffon cake.

So this place used to be awesome. In fact it’s pretty awesome given the workers are always friendly and there’s always a variety of things to choose when I’m there. However, the last few times I’ve been there the custards and puddings have been sub par. It was okay since it was still edible and still tasted fine, but it was just not appealing. However, yesterday will probably be the last time I go to that location. I ordered 2 crème brulees to take home, a red bean and cream bun and got a regular and strawberry pudding. I ate the strawberry pudding there and noticed the top wasn’t as firm as it usually is. When I got down to the custard part, it was completely watery. I have no idea what happened but it looked like custard before you bake it. Thin, watery and slightly eggy in flavor. Since to get to the custard part you basically eat half the bottle, I didn’t make an attempt to get refunded or anything. But if indeed the custard wasn’t baked properly, that is a food safety issue that needs to be addressed immediately. Whoever prepared those strawberry puddings should be fired. I don’t pay over $ 3 to get food poisoning. On the other hand, the regular pudding was of the consistency that I am familiar with and tasted just fine. As for the crème brûlée, I got a regular one and a berry one. The regular one was fine and was better than what I remembered in the past. The berry one however… The presentation looks beautiful but the custard is curdled. It looks more like blended cottage cheese. Not smooth and creamy but gritty and greasy. On top of that, the flavor of the custard tastes burnt and almost plasticky/waxy. WTF!!! For the premium they charge for these things this is really not acceptable. So advice for this location, whoever you are entrusting to do your custards, it’s not working and they need to be fired or demoted to cleaning up the tables. I understand that custards can be tricky but if you’re going to offer it on your menu at least do it right.

Parking can be difficult because it’s such a popular plaza. This location in particular is a bit smaller, and also seems to have less variety than the Cupertino location I have been to. My kids love the mini croissants so we come here for those, and it’s so close to our apartment and the kids love to sit here and stare up at the mirror on the ceiling, it’s worth it anyway. If you’re looking for a bakery with really great stuff and lots of variety, however, Clover might be your best bet in this plaza.

Love coming here for my meetings with my team. There’s something for everyone. The bakery goods are always delicious and their cakes were yummy also. They are friendly and it’s clean and very well lit. No complaints here!

Best chain bakery I’ve ever been to. The food here is always incredibly fresh and flavorful. I haven’t been to any other PB locations, so I can’t attest to the selection of pastries, but they offer a good variety in my opinion. I’ve tried a bit of everything – sandwiches, pastries, breads, pudding. The breads here are my favorite. The milk and cream breads are incredibly soft, pillowy and cloud like in taste and texture. Each piece is sized like Texas toast, but it’s so good you’ll catch yourself eating more than you should! A loaf is smaller than standard grocery store loaves and priced higher, but so worth it. Up your brown bag sandwich game by switching to this bread! Unfortunately the shop gets very crowded and parking is a nightmare. It is hard to get a seat and because it is consistently busy the tables have been unkempt on my visits. However, their baked goods are great and it’s a good place to grab a quick bite. They offer hot and cold drinks, beautiful cakes and fruit cups in addition to their normal selection of breads and pastry.

Delicious! Everything! The croissants especially. OMG. We sat on the patio, which was so civilized and nice, if only the relentless traffic on Saratoga wasn’t quite so… relentless. The staff here were super nice — we asked if the hot chocolate we ordered could have some kind of design in the foam(kids like that sort of thing) and they said they would try. Well, four staff members were involved in the process, which yielded a really cute result. If this will let me, I will share the photo I took.

I have been to this location a few times since it sits in the plaza where Mitsuwa Marketplace, Clover Bakery is. I also have been to several other locations and I have also worked at one for some time(I will not say which one to avoid bias), but this location is by far the worse in terms of service and selection of breads and pastries. Workers here are not friendly and never smile. There are never people that greet you as you enter. Other locations there is usually a «Hello, welcome!» The variety of pastries are very limited. I know not every location has the same items but there is never much offered here. Not sure who it was, but when I got rung up by a girl, she told me to bag my own items. What the fffff? Rude much? She just stood there and stared at me… okaaaaaay. Oh yeah, their iced green tea latte here is basically water to me. No, not watered down. It is just water. I do not plan on coming back lol. They need to clean their dining area often as well…

Nice fresh and delicious, price little bit high but worth it for me. Defiantly my number 1 place to grab a coffee with best pastry around.

Parking is a mess here so I gotta do what I gotta do to get my sweet potato soft cakes! I come here super early in the AM where I pretty much have the store all to myself! Unfortunately, they’re not fully stocked with everything and the shelves are half empty. As long as they have my soft cakes, I’m good though. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Although the weather is great for outdoor seating, there are too many cars driving on Saratoga Ave. Thus, I prefer inside where it’s peaceful. Coffee is pretty good and pairs well with any bread you get here. Cakes are amazing and so delicately decorated. They’re great cakes for any occasion!

Paris Baguette used to be THE place to get pastries/cakes, but ever since they started popping up everywhere… things just haven’t been the same. I still remember when they only had pasties, a small drink menu, and bingsoo. Then they added cronuts, and now there seems to be a decently sized breakfast/lunch menu. It’s cool that they’ve grown, and it’s definitely much more convenient with the added locations due to less crowding, but it’s just not as cute! When I think of Paris, I think quiet and sunny with a slight breeze – a nice place to get some work done or a stopover during a cute date. It’s become much more casual with the free wifi and indoor+outdoor seating, but idk, something is off! I came in this afternoon during the frappé happy hour that’s going on until 8÷28÷2015. From 2 – 4 pm, frappes are ½ off(about $ 2 total). It’s totally worth it and comes in flavors like Strawberry Snow, Horchata, Matcha, Coffee/Mocha(?), and a few others. The only downside? The shop was nearly empty and it took almost 15 minutes for our drink order to come out. The floors were dirty, many of the pastries looked like they had been sitting out way too long, and the egg tarts were all dried up and cracked on top. If I lived closer, I could definitely see myself getting some work done here and grabbing another frappé. The strawberry snow I got was actually quite tasty! I’d probably also keep to myself in a quiet corner. It’s a nice place, just not quite as clean and hip as I remember.

A step up from 85 Degree Bakery! Pros: –Prices are cheaper than 85 and more reasonable –Ambiance is very modern –Dining area is not too loud –Good selection of bread and croissants –Fruit cups are great –Various drinks all made on the spot –Lines aren’t too long or crazy Cons: –The plaza has a horrible parking design –Not to mention people parking here can do better –Staff isn’t too upbeat or friendly Overall, this place is a nice place to stop if you want some baked goods! Try out the almond twists, curry buns, and croissants! Bought a bag full for around $ 15, so it was a decent buy! There is a small seating area inside, but the patio seating is much more spread out and more seating! They offer free water and a complete condiment selection for your breads! If you are near the Japanese marketplace, drop by and take a look at their bread!

I don’t get the hype around Paris Baguette. I finally tried a cake last week and I was super underwhelmed. It was the roommate’s brother’s birthday and he got a cake as a birthday gift. It was the Red velvet cake: red velvet sponge, fresh cream, berries, chocolate. This wouldn’t have been my first choice in cakes, but I still couldn’t wait to try it! The cream frosting was nice and light. And the berries were fresh. Since it’s not really berry season, some of them were sour or kind of flavorless. Also, when I think red velvet, I think of cream cheese frosting. It was kind of unexpected eating this with just a light cream, but since it wasn’t heavily sweetened, I didn’t mind. So why was I super underwhelmed? The cake. It wasn’t light, airy or spongy. It was actually overly moist. I’m not sure if that was due to it being in the refrigerator for a couple of hours, but the cake should have held up during that time right? Maybe these cakes are eat now! Do not eat later! If you want the typical version of red velvet, you won’t find that here. This is a super light version with cream instead of cream cheese. I do want to try some other cakes and desserts, so I will be back!

Noelle’s Unilocal Notebook 2014 Paris Baguette is a fantastic place to pick up pastries for your loved ones. Came here today with the family before going shopping at Mitsuwa. Arriving early on the weekends is key to avoid the congested parking lot and long lines inside the bakery. Upon arriving early this morning the entire bakery was well stocked with sweet and savory pastries. — - — - — - - our order — - — - — - - veggie baguette pizza(5⁄5) veggies, cheese and tomato sauce on a baguette. This was absolutely fantastic, the veggies were fresh, the cheese and sauce ratio was perfect. I would definitely order this again. farmer’s breakfast(2.5÷5) I ordered this for my hubs. The salad looked fantastic as did the fresh fruit on the plate. The sausage patty didn’t taste good, the egg was decent. This is definitely something we wouldn’t order again. vanilla latte hot & cold(4⁄5) My mom had the hot vanilla latte which she liked and I always get the cold vanilla latte which was good. pineapple pastry(5⁄5) Pineapple in the most delicious and flaky pastry dough with a custard filling was awesome! blueberry and cream cheese pastry(5⁄5) This is one of my favorite pastries, the blueberry and sweet cream cheese in the flakey pastry dough makes a great snack or quick breakfast item. — - — - — - — - — - — - — - — - - items to go for the family — - — - — - — - — - — - — - — - — - ham and cheese croissants(5⁄5) Paris Baguette makes good croissants, combine that with ham and cheese and you’ve got a perfect on the go snack! raspberry danish(5⁄5) Definitely, a family favorite– cream cheese and raspberry in a flaky pastry topped with nuts. danish cream cheese(5⁄5) Generously filled cream cheese danish, probably the best I’ve ever tasted. If you like cream cheese this is something you must try! cheese tarts(3⁄5) These look like little egg custard tarts but they are filled with cream cheese. They filling is good but the tart shell is weak sauce. Definitely wouldn’t get these again. pain aux chocolate(3.5÷5) Flaky pastry, perfect amount of chocolate filling and what wrecks this pastry is the copious amounts of chocolate dipped on the outer side of the croissant. I LOVE chocolate but the extra chocolate is overkill. Belgium waffle(5⁄5) perfectly made waffle, great for breakfast or a snack. canele– Paris Baguette makes one of the best caneles in the SF Bay Area. The caramelized crust, custard like center makes this my favorite pastry when at PB. I’ve noticed many families with young children come here on the weekends for breakfast(it’s family friendly and they have high chairs). Also coming here I’ve noticed people picking up cakes for parties in the early morning hours. Paris Baguette makes wonderful pastries(sweet and savory), good breakfast items and fantastic sandwiches(love the ham or egg salad). Good food and good customer service make this a winner in my Unilocal Notebook!
