MOD Pizza contacted us and we decided to give this 1 last try before writing this location off. They must have gotten some training? or something. The Employees were friendly, efficient and really helpful. Unlike last time I didn’t even have to ask for extra veggies or meat because they made it perfect the first time. Not too much, but definitely not too little. My family will definitely go here again, but if anyone is working and stingy with the toppings, I won’t be afraid to ask for more until they get it right. TYMOD Pizza for getting back to us and encouraging us to give this location a try again.

MYOWNDESIGN This place is smart, menu was easy to understand and even more simpler once you start. Oh the joy watching your glorious pizza being made was so satisfying. Get a shake made with fresh ice cream or a cold beer to top it off is a smart choice. All in all give it a shot you’ll enjoy This place

This has place has become my new favorite to cutsomize your own pizza. Way better than pieology. Crust is thin which I like and and the workers are pretty generous with the amount of topping you ask for. Not a long wait and the food came out pretty fast. Love it that they have their own freshly made lemonade on the side. Definitely try their blackberry lemonade. It’s delicious!

I come to mod all the time but never to this location. Mod is the best pizza around but this location the staff didn’t know really anything about the secret menu and every other mod there is at least one person that know about it. The staff was very rude to me and looked like that they weren’t happy about working there. Mod has a happy cool vibe and not this one. And pizza are suppose to come out all at once not 5 mins after another. After almost finishing my pizza there was a hair melted into my cheese. This ruin my thoughts about mod.

I’ve reviewed other Mod’s and this one is exactly the same. It’s a really tasty meal even if it doesn’t satisfy my «pizza fix.» You can load it up with as much stuff as you want — they never look at you funny if you say something like«Can you put all the meats you have on it?», so for that they are great! Their assembly line moves fast. Their pizza oven cranks it out. You end up with a great tasting meal, but to me it just tastes more like a warm sandwich(which is GREAT) and not really like a pizza. I have and will keep going back.

Not impressed. Mod; yes. But pizza? No! More like a corn tortilla meets flat bread. I prefer thin crust. But this is uncrust. And don’t come hungry, because the toppings are seriously lacking. Next!

I’ve only came here once in the past and it was great. Currently I’m sitting here writing this review because today’s staff was seriously the worst! I cannot believe this is the type of people they want to hire. I would want to say the man who helped us was the owner. A little older and had a gray hat on. Extremely nice but doesn’t acknowledge the fact of how his staff is treating customers. I in no way will come back. Pieology is way better and nicer regardless of how busy they are. Staff doesn’t care to work so why offer them a job At least your gettin paid. Fake a dam smile and stop being rude

So, I decided to give this place a go, first time. I am never in this area unless I am picking someone up at the airport which that was the case. Location was easy to find. It reminds me of Pieology except they don’t charge extras for toppings which I thought was cool. I decided to build my own mini pizza. It would have been a 5 star, if the guy who was making my pizza wasn’t so grumpy and pushy and greedy. I only had 3 – 4 toppings and he seemed like he didn’t want me to get anymore toppings. They weren’t even busy. My sister felt the same way. Other than that, store was clean, and my pizza was good.

Decided to try this place since we were near by. Love the fact I can order different sizes. Ordered my daughter a mini and myself a mod. The crust was perfect and the pizza was on point. Love the variety of sauces they offer as the main pizza sauce. I requested pesto, garlic and a drizzle of marinara. Love the whole roasted garlic. So good. Just wish the service was a bit more friendly. Definitely will go back again.

Holy crap… this MOD location needs help, bad. Judging by the other reviews, I wonder if we just hit it on a bad night, but it was awful. The man who did our pizzas was completely dysfunctional and was basically running to the pizza oven after every topping I chose. I kept having to yell«excuse me» and point back at the toppings; MOD is all about unlimited toppings, no idea why he would think I’m done after just one. It was something of a twilight zone experience, or better yet — a hidden camera show. Except there was no hidden camera. This guy was just on a mission to throw every pizza in the oven with just pizza sauce.

Not sure if I was just super hungry, but the pizza was pretty good. I will finish my last slice after I post this review. This was my first time here, a friend of mine was ranting about how good this place is. Friday nights are our Pizza Nights so tonight we decided to try MOD Pizza. The service is great. 1 hour before closing you’d expect workers to just not give AF, but they were great. The guy who rang us up even gave our son a MOD bracelet and let him choose a color. Everyone was nice. [it was all the workers working 11⁄6 at around 8:30pm] We ordered 2MOD size pizzas, one for me and one for my bf(we don’t always agree on toppings). It’s the same ordering concept as Pieology. I ordered a pizza with white sauce, cilantro, mozzerella, asiago cheese, pineapples, artichokes, chicken, mushrooms and onions topped with pesto drizzle. I mean, you make/order the food to your own liking so if you don’t like you food, then that’s probably on you. I enjoyed my pizza and would def return to this place. Oh yeah. We also ordered garlic slices. I’d skip those. That is all.

Since I had a drop-off and pick-up at SJC after 8pm when most food places have closed, a friend recommended MP. As already mentioned by others, it’s like walking into a Chipotle where not only the atmosphere is the same, but you pick as many or few toppings for your pizza or salad all for one price $ 7.87 for the MOD size which is the the size of a large dinner plate. For the first pizza, my dining companions and I chose a Mediterranean themed pizza with a pesto sauce. TOOGOOD! For the next pizza, we chose a red sauce and everything we liked on a pizza including arugula. YUM! We all enjoyed the thin crust pizzas and the fact that it was open past 8pm. What a plus! For future trips to SJC, it looks like there’s a new favorite.

Well, since pizza is one of my favorite vegetables, I figured I had to try out MOD. Similar to a Chipotle style of ordering, you go down the line and ask for what toppings you want on the pizza. The good thing is that all toppings are the same price, even if you ask for a little extra! You can pick between the mini, regular, and mega(an extra crust of pizza and similar in size to the regular). There are also pizza strips and salad if the pizza doesn’t fill you up. I like that the service here is great! They are definitely generous with the toppings and they try to make it even all over the pizza. The toppings are fresh with a large variety. You can grab a drink at the end(they even have beer!) Pizza and beer? Sounds good, doesn’t it? Don’t forget to ask for BBQ sauce drizzled on your pizza at the end for the extra kick. Also, $ 8 for your personalized pizza. $ 8… The place itself is quite clean. They have napkins and plates on the table, and once you’re done with the food, just bring everything over to one of their little trashcans. Be MOD about MOD!

I had this place bookmarked forever. I was excited to try it! Would this trump my love for Pieology? I was curious to find out… The employees were extremely friendly and chipper. Greeted us promptly. They could tell we looked a little lost, and offered suggestions. Their toppings were plentiful and fresh. When it was time for us to pick up our pizzas, we retrieved them and discovered that we had the wrong pizza! Either they mixed up the pizzas and names, or another customer took our order. They were extremely apologetic, and offered us a strawberry sweet tart, on the house. And even better, they remade a pizza AND let us take home the incorrect order! Yay for free pizza. Excellent customer service. What I liked also: the pizza was nice and crispy… Mmmm. I might be coming here more often than Pieology: O

I was Rolling with my Boss on a Check Ride. We were rolling around in my Work Whip Big Ken and it was Dinner time . So my Boss being Old School always treats his employees to a meal when he does a Check Ride, Plus he is a pretty Cool Guy. So we rolled to MOD Pizza and I parked my Work Whip Big Ken in the Parking lot and rolled in . I liked the Décor and the Fact they cook their Pizza in a nice Stone Pizza oven . I like the Concept. You pay a set price and can ask for what ever Toppings you desire. They have 3 Sizes available Mini 6 -$ 4,87, Regular 11 -$ 7.87 and a Double Crust 11 — $ 10.87. They have a Gluten Free Crust also + $ 2.00 They also have a Salad Option — Simple, Deluxe and Caesar. I ordered a 11 inch Mad Dog with Pesto, Bacon, Salami and Chorizo and a Ceasars Salad Large with Mushrooms . Drinks — Milkshakes — $ 3.57, Floats — $ 2.57, Fountain Drinks — $ 1.97 . Draft Beer or Wine– Glass — $ 4.97, Pitcher Or Carafe — $ 11.27. I also ordered a Diet Coke . My Salad was good sized and its very Tasty. The ingrediants were nice and fresh. My Pizza was done in less than Ten minutes. It was perfectly Cooked and was Delicious . I’m a Fan. Ill definitely will return . Service was Good and Friendly.

I love the concept of customizing your own pizza. MOD Pizza stands itself apart from Pieology and Blaze pizza by offering different sizes of pizzas and unique toppings & drizzles. The pizza also doesn’t come out as oily or wet(from the toppings) which is a huge plus. The workers here are the friendliest I’ve met and are extremely fun to talk to. Try the pesto drizzle! It’s so delicious. Adding a lemon to your pizza also gives it an extra zest that makes it even more mouthwatering.

Yet another Pieology competitor. After declaring that Top This Pizza is the best make your own pizza, I had to try this spot to see if Top This was still #1 in my book. Located next to the In N Out and Chipotle on Coleman, this place is super easy to find. Upon entering, all of the staff greets you in unison, which I find kind of creepy, but anyways they all seem friendly nonetheless. As for the pizza, the bf and I each ordered our own customized pizza and an order of the garlic bread strips. We both agreed that their Srirancha sauce is sooo good. I also went for a milkshake, but I was bummed that they were out of strawberry so I got a vanilla chocolate one. Once we got our pizza, we were satisfied but pointed out how flimsy their crust is. Overall, if you’re tired of Pieology then this place is a decent alternative, but definitely not as delicious as Top This Pizza.
