Fairly cheap and they give big portions. Taste isn’t so great. All my sides were cold. It’s only 4pm and most of the good stuff is gone so I didn’t have much to choose from. I’m sure they were making a new batch but not fast enough. Haven’t ate all day and I don’t even want to finish this. Won’t be coming back.

Their house chicken and dumplings are amazing, never stingy with the amount of food given to their customers, they have sports playing on the tv sometimes.

I needed a quick dinner and found this hidden establishment on Unilocal. Located right around the corner from my mother in law’s home, I thought today would be the perfect time to dive in and try. For about $ 7.50 you get one entrée and two sides. Keep in mind that the portions are MASSIVE! I purchased: fried rice, sweet n sour pork, and five spice chicken. Fried rice was surprisingly really good and not nearly as oily as other fast food offerings. it contained rice, peas, and carrots– nothing more, nothing less. To be honest, I thought it was even better than the fried rice you get from king egg rolls! Sweet N Sour Pork and the Five Spice Chicken looked and tasted the same! I definitely should have passed and got something totally different. The meats seemed to be drowning in the sauce for so long that the fried batter coating was mushy. BLEH. Great place for a Big Bang for your buck! Decent food and quick service– what’s not to love? I can definitely see myself coming back and trying out some of the other sides that this place has to offer.

Came in and got 4 portions. my chicken was super cold and when I told him he offered to heat it up in the microwave!!! Are you kidding me. I’ve been coming here for years so disappointed. He said their prices are cheap enough n they R not giving away chicken for free. wow worse yet after my food was heated in the microwave it was still cold totally ruined my dinner!

Pretty decent food. They had a few chickens labeled spicy(all breaded) but I only found one to have a good kick to it. The noodles were delicious & the fried rice was average(not bad but not Benihana’s). The food I was most dissapointed with was the chinese chicken salad. The chicken was breaded which was fine but the«salad dressing» tasted like pure vinegar. I love balsamic vinaigrette dressings but normally CCS has a lemon dressing & is sweet. This was sour & tasted like nothing but straight vinegar. There was no wait in line & the fresh food only took a few minutes to come out. The owner did allow me to sample two of their items before purchasing which I liked. I hate to spend close to $ 7 on food that doesn’t satisfy so I enjoyed the toothpick sample. For a place just right around the corner from my bf’s it wasn’t bad & we will be visiting again when I give myself another«cheat» day.

I’ve been a weekly standard at Taquiera Eduardo #3, but was curious to try McKee Orient Express: it has good reviews, is always popular, and I’m in the strip mall once a week, so might as well give it a shot. The advantage this place has it that they do have a lot more ready to serve selection than other New York Style restaurants. Multiple types of beef like Mongolian, with broccoli; chicken with tangerine, honey, spicy 5 flavor, spicy, kung po; and a few types of pork. So that is a plus. They also make some stuff fresh — my friend is a vegetarian, and they made him veggies and tofu on the spot. But my spicy 5 flavor and mongolian beef with fried rice was just ok. Definitely tasted like it has been sitting out for a while. The rice was good. If you are looking for a cheap, fast meal, with some options then this could be your spot. But for pure quality, I would take the taco place next door.

I stoped by this because it had 4 stars. Dont understand why. Food was ok, had a 3 item combo. Most places include rice or chow main along with your 3 items but this place has you choose rice or chow main as an item! I had rice(pretty good), house chicken(i liked it), kung pao chicken(sorry but it sucked). Place seems pretty clean to. I dont live around there so i will only stop by once in a great while.

McKee Orient Express: Quality of food is decent, portions are generous, and the price is quite reasonable. The cafeteria-style service is friendly and quick. The dining area is clean and simply furnished. I’ve had lunch there about 3 – 4 times and, except for a couple of issues, I haven’t been unhappy. The food was tasty and not too greasy.(I could have done with less salt, but it didn’t detract from my overall review.) Although I always mentioned that I would be eating IN the restaurant(i.e., not take-out), my food was always put in a clamshell-style take-out container. I guess they do that to save money, since most people probably ask for containers for their leftovers anyway. There are two things that could be improved:(1) As of this writing, when you order a combination plate, you are forced to include rice or noodles as one of the items. I happen to like their fried rice, but I don’t like the«obligation» of that rule when you are only choosing a 3-item combination plate.(2) I would also prefer that the temperature of the food was hotter. Most of the time the food is served warm to very warm, at best.

Wow… This place has gone downhill!!! The service is garbage. I took a buddy here because it used to be a cool spot to get some food when I worked nearby. My buddy asked for a couple samples of the food which he tried and then immediately ordered. The gentleman asked if we we wanted to order anything else an my buddy noticed the Curry Chicken and thought it may be good… Like the others he asked to try it.(Obviously intending to buy it if it was good). He was denied being told it there was a limit of two samples per person(After he had just ordered each item he had tried). You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to see the flaws in how that policy was applied in this situation. Top it off with rude service and… Screw this place, I’ll take my money to Panda Express.

Decent place for Chinese to-go food. They have a wide variety of items and the workers are very friendly and ready to serve. I came here on a whim one day when I was craving chinese food and this place fixed it up right away. I thought the chow mein was better than the fried rice(which was kind of dry). The sides were flavorful and they give you a decent amount. Overall, decent, cheap, and quick. Not bad. I’d come back.

Chow mein was Americanized but honestly it tasted very flavorful and not so greasy that it made me feel like a giant, sluggish, pig! I liked the many variety of chicken entrees they offered: curry chicken, BBQ chicken, lemon chicken, orange chicken. I got the chow mein, BBQ pork, and orange chicken plate combo and it satisfied me and my Daughter! I also had a small cup of soup as well! Great little establishment. great service too!

Lunch on the quick and somewhat cheap? sure why not? For $ 6, you get a large heaping of fried rice or chow mein, and 1 other item, for $ 1 more, you get 2 items. The chow mein, believe it or not, was actually not oily. I do give that to them for mastering this amazing feat! Taste wise, it has a strong pepper taste to it, which was a nice touch. Their item selection is your typical Americanized Chinese food, ie Orange beef, Chicken broccoli, string bean chicken, 5 spice beef, kung pao, and any other over sauced typical Chinese dish you can think of. + Not so oily chow mein fast big portions friendly decent place to get your lunch on the guy - Kinda $ compared to other Chinese places of the same caliber Not unique in their choices

This place has a gimmicky practice of requiring customers to order rice or noodles as one of the items in a combo. The food is fresh but otherwise unremarkable. Prices are comparable to Panda Express as are the ambiance and offerings.

I’m new to the San Jose area so for my first official Chinese food craving, I came to Unilocal to see what was in the neighborhood. The reviews I read of McKee Orient Express were accurate. It was definitely a clean place with very good Chinese food for being a ‘fast-food’ style restaurant. The serving was very big– the gentleman put as much as he could into the white take-out box. Although there was a bit of a line in front of me and it did take 10 minutes to get served, the gentleman apologized multiple times with such a kind smile that I was totally okay with the wait. I did get a free egg roll too! I’d definitely check this place out if you are craving some fast-food Chinese :)

Wanted to try this fastfood that’s closest to the closest Walgreens to me. It’s in the same strip mall as the Walgreens and other stores. Prepared food that you can point and order and they offer you options of two or three combinations. I got the Chowmein and Chicken Broccoli. It was a little too sweet for my taste. The chowmein was bland and the chicken broccoli was nothing to talk about. So I won’t be back. Aside from that the servers behind the counter was too rattled to get our orders right. Since it’s in the same strip mall as Walgreens parking is not a problem at all.
