I came here to get my earlobes sewn up after having 1 inch gauges for 9 years. He is a very approachable guy who is very laid back. But that doesn’t mean he won’t take your concerns seriously. Overall o had an amazing experience. He was very affordable when compared to others that I called. I would tell anyone I know who is interested in the same procedure to see him.

As with most of the other reviews for Dr. Churukian, I’m rating him and his fabulous team 5 stars.
First, I have to say that this is my second procedure. I came to Dr. C to replace my saline, 13 year old implants and to get a lift. The first experience was INCREDIBLY painful and I was pretty nervous about this rounds’ procedure. But…
Dr. Churukian made me feel very welcome and comfortable at each appointment and is thorough! My initial consult with Dr. C lasted about an hour, with him listening to what my expectations were and what I wanted. He explained the procedures he thought would be appropriate, showed me some samples of the procedure and what they might look like after, during healing, etc, so I totally understood the process. He then took me into the exam room and took measurements (again, offering me a variety of ideas he had to get exactly what I was looking for). Next came scheduling by wonderful Kristen. Kristen, Dr. C’s scheduling coordinator and assistant, changed some things around to make the exact date I wanted workable. (I cannot thank her enough for making everything so simple and easy. When I had initially called about a consult, I was already signed up to have my procedure done with a different doctor and Kristen did everything should could to match costs and date, which helped the fact that I lost my deposit with the last doctor.)
I left that first meeting and appointment feeling very confident in his abilities and knowing what I would get out of surgery with him as my doctor.
That brings me to Kristen, who is simply is wonderful. Personable, listens, offers great advice, easy to work with. She even showed up at the hospital on surgery day, while in the prep room to chat and make sure I was ok! I was laying in bed, IV in, vitals being checked, and Kristen appeared. A++ for making me feel safe® and in good hands.
Also, Dr. Churukian does such great work — in terms of symmatry and various aspects of surgery, but also with pain! During my procedure, he had to do a bit more work than originally planned (I was a «challenging case») and he let me know that I would be a bit more sore than he had told me I would be. I was more sore but given that I had surgery on a Thursday afternoon, by Saturday I stopped taking the heavy painkillers I was prescribed and switched to Ibuprofen. By Sunday afternoon, I no longer needed any painkillers.
Recovery has been exactly as Dr. C had said. Following his instructions, healing has been SO much easier than I thought.
I appreciate his no nonsense approach and that he tells it like it is. Exactly like it is. Especially when it comes to what to expect — any weird symptoms you might experience– knowing this, and experiencing them, I’ve felt at ease with the healing process.
This review takes place 3 weeks post surgery. I’ll be posting updates after a few months, too.

I have been to Dr. Churukian for each of my cosmetic procedures in the last 10 years, and I honestly couldn’t imagine going anywhere else! He is seriously one of the kindest and most professional surgeons around. In addition, his assistant, Kristen, is a total rockstar as well. Such genuinely good people. Thanks for treating me so well and making sure everything goes as smoothly as possible when I’m in your care!

Omg! I finally found the plastic surgeon and office team to fall in love with! It took 4 years of interviews and gut feelings. Dr. C did a face lift, top and bottom lids and neck 3 months ago. I am SO happy. He is an artist! I look amazing at age 62! My eyes are big and blue again! My neck is not sagging and my skin tone is great. There was a minor problem with one of my eyes but, Dr. C and I figured out and it was dealt with in a professional manner.
The office team is amazing, kind and helpful… beyond helpful!
You will be so happy you choose this team! I sure am!!!

Dr Churukian and his staff are amazing. After two kids, the girls went south and I was referred to Dr. Churukian’s office. I knew right away he was my surgeon! He took the time to answer all my husband’s and my questions, was friendly and professional and just seemed like a great fit. His patient coordinator, Kristin, is so wonderful also. By the end of speaking with her, I felt at ease and like I had a new best friend. And that’s all just from the consult. Fast forward to surgery… it was so quick my husband barely left and had to come back to get me. The recovery process wasn’t bad at all and I am SOOO HAPPY with my new boobs! They are everything I wanted and more. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Churukian!!!

Dr. Churukian and his team are the best. I went in for smaller implants and a lift.
I can’t praise Dr. Churukian enough. He has a warm and friendly bedside manner, and really made me feel comfortable during this whole (uncomfortable) process.
He called me the evening after my surgery to check in AND the next morning. Unheard of !
And he knows his stuff ! It is 2 weeks today since my procedures and I already love my results even though I know I am still swollen and the new implants have not settled. A few days before my procedure he brought me in to «drain» some saline out of my previously huge implants, so that we could get an idea of my new ideal size before the new implants were ordered. Brilliant.
Kristen, his patient coordinator, is so warm and caring. She is there for you from the beginning consult thru the follow-​up appointments for any questions or concerns you may have. Rosemary, who deals with the insurance, was great at getting my pre-​authorization from Blue Cross and filing with them after the procedures.
Set up a consult and you will not be disappointed !

I am so thankful that I came across Dr Churukian. I actually got the referral from my sister in law who works in an operating room with him. This is a huge plus, as the average person really has no clue about a doctors clinical quality!
Dr Churukian is so personable, relatable, and down to earth. I loved his approach when speaking with me and easing my fears. He was also the only surgeon I met with who didn’t have someone constantly calling me and pushing me to book my surgery which I appreciated! No one wants a desperate plastic surgeon!
Lastly, the results are exactly what I had in mind and I’m so mad at myself I didn’t do this sooner! I highly recommend Dr Churukian!

Dr Churukian is knowledgeable, thorough and has an excellent bedside manner. He has had a hand fellowship and helped fix my broken finger with an internal fixation. I highly recommend him! He goes over and above his call of duty !

I had two respected doctors recommend Dr. Churukian. I, am a retired RN of 34 years, and I do my home work regarding doctors. I must say that Dr. Churukian is fabulous. His skill and bedside manner are impeccable. I am so happy with the results of my surgery. Must also mention his fabulous office crew… Kristen and Rosemary, always informative, pleasant and accommodating. By the way, I had tummy and inner thigh lipo, with fat to the face. Looking and feeling better every day

I did a facial peel for the first time (Jan Marini Teansform Peel) and although it is not a serious or invasive procedure, it’s the first «major» thing I’ve done to myself so I was nervous!
How is my face going to look?
Is it going to hurt?
Will I be the woman without a face?
All of my worries were quickly put to rest however!
Rosemary and Kristen are so sweet, and from the very beginning they walked me through the process and very nicely answered all of my pesky questions.
Dr. Churukian answered all of my questions and was very thorough while he was doing the procedure; explaining what he was doing, why, and what to expect. He made me feel very comfortable! After the procedure they followed up to make sure everything was progressing properly and encouraged me to call should I have any questions about the post-​care treatment.
I now have very smooth and wonderful skin and I couldn’t have gone to a better place!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Dr Churukian! He is an awesome surgeon. I have met with multiple plastic surgeons in the area (as most people do when «shopping» for a plastic surgery procedure.) Hands down, Dr C’s bedside manner was far superior to anyone else I met with. His staff was super helpful as well with all of the details of my procedures. I am thrilled with the results and would do it all over again. So happy I was referred to him!

My experience with doctor Churukian was amazing. From the consultation to the actual surgery, everything was so smooth. I’m also extremely happy with my BA results. I highly recommend Dr. Churukian. His staff are also super friendly and sweet. :)

I ended up having to return to the office after my initial botox injections for touchups and Dr. Churukian was extremely accommodating and patient even though it was way past office hours (the only time I could go due to my work schedule).
Thank you also to the wonderful office staff who was quick to email me back with the dozens of questions I had regarding the office’s specials, Care Credit offer, additional peel services, last minute appointments, ect.

Don’t ever get your eyes done by Dr. Churukian. He did a lower eye blepharoplasty and he over pulled my eye. You can see the inside of my owner eyelids. When I complained about it, he told me to massage my lower lid upwards to pull it up. Ridiculous!
I had to travel all the way to Ventura, CA to have it redone by an occuloplastic surgeon, Dr. Meronk, who specializes only in eye reconstruction surgeries. Of course, getting a reconstructive surgery costs much more than the actual surgery with no guaranteed results. I had to fly there thrice for reconstruction. I still have everted eyelids but much improved. It is still a very traumatic experience for me.
I am doing this review to let others know that you should never get any form of facial surgery from this doctor.
Note: Dr. Churukian replied to my review, stating that in the last 10 years, they see no record of me. Can he ask himself how long he has been practicing in his Los Gatos office? Mine happened over 10 years ago but it doesn’t mean he didn’t do it. What’s my business giving him a bad review if I didn’t suffer under his less than skillful surgical procedure???

I went to see Dr. Churukian recently based on Unilocal reviews and my experience was better than expected. The staff was responsive, attentive, professional and Dr. Churukian is a brilliant doctor. My visit was not cosmetic rather a skin cancer issue and I am pleased with the results.

First appointment for Botox and thought I would need more but he said I didn’t need as much as I thought. So refreshing! He was on time and extremely friendly. Spent time discussing and answering my questions. He definitely has a new patient in me!

I’ve been coming to see Dr. Charukian for 3 years and have experienced nothing but the most professional service from Kirk and his staff. Waiting is never an issue and I’m in/​out promptly every time. He is gentle and the atomosphere is relaxing.

I have been a patient of Dr. Churukian’s for several years now. He is not only the nicest physician I have ran across but is very skilled and knowledgeable. He has been doing my lips, botox, chemical peel, eyelids, laser resurfacing, and now my breast. He has great bedside manors and will tell you as a patient what he feels will be the better outcome, however he is also one who will listen to his patient. If you have doubts or are nervous he will calm your nerves and explain each and every procedure with you. I have had many people comment on my face and my lips and ask me where I had them done. Without hesitation I recommend Dr. C. His staff is very friendly and they don’t try to «up sale» you.
