Such a hidden gem! It is so good! I ordered my meal to go and it was ready 10min later :) the salt and pepper shrimp is amazing, must try! The Bbq chicken is also good but the shrimp is just so delicious. It’s crunchy, flavorful and paired perfectly with Mac salad. Enjoy!

This is a great little mom and pop store. Their spam musubi and BBQ chicken is my favorite. Their Mac salad goes perfect with the chicken. The service is good, the food is yummy, and the price is decent for the amount of food you get. We will definitely be coming back!

Definitely a good alternative to L&L. The food is pretty good and it is always cooked very fast. Staff is friendly and as I said… it is a good alternative.

I love the salt and pepper prawns with a side of BBQ chicken. I also love that this is a little mom and pop place. Food is really quick and always comes with a smile. I need to eat other stuff on the menu but I love my prawns.

This place is not bad. I ordered a number 8 chicken combo. Brown rice charge extra which was ok, a lot of place don’t charge for that switch but whatever. Bbq chicken was flavorful and chicken katsu was crunchy and delicious. I don’t mind eating from Dixie plates and plastic utensils but some would. Also has to be a 10 dollar or more to use cards so bring cash just in case. I have yet to try the donut side, stay tuned.

Place looks very odd with a donut shop on one side but overall food is good! The owners are very welcoming and they are Chinese so although it was odd to have honey walnut prawns as a dish i appreciate the variety and lack of sacrifice in the quality of taste!

Unpretentious and delicious home style Hawaiian food served in Hawaiian sized portions at a reasonable price. A genuine Mom and Pop operation that my family has enjoyed since the first day they opened their doors. If you are counting calories and/or actively managing cholesterol, carb intake, obesity or portion control issues please pass on by. A daily diet of this food will make you glad there is a hospital directly across the street. If you were raised eating rice and egg plates you are in the right place and will instantly feel at home. Musubi, Moco Loco, Kalua Pork, Kalbi, Spam, Linguica, fried everything and more. I recommend the chicken cutlet plate, all rice, no macaroni salad with the gravy on the side. I like my chicken crisp until the last bite and I prefer the gravy on the rice. If you order that Mae will know who sent you.

I enjoy the family meal. Great price to feed 4 – 6 people. Rice, chicken, beef and macaroni are always good.,

Bottom line– if you are craving for some Hawaiian, this should satisfy. Owners are Cantonese lol but the food is legit. Con: minimum card charge is $ 10 so bring your cash! :) Pro: no lines! Rarely see this place busy :):) or I just come really late

The food here is really good & well priced. Never a long wait either. They also cater for parties so that’s a plus. Ever since I started coming here I stopped going to other Hawaiian bbq restaurants. The family who runs the place is really nice. Recommended highly if you enjoy Hawaiian bbq !

My gf and I came to this restaurant since she’s Hawaiian heritage. We had ordered Hawaiian Loco Moco with Spam. It was delicious.

Thus place is good for a nice lunch or quick dinner. It’s about $ 9 or $ 10 a plate for meat plates. Very good flavor and nice people. Probably about 3.5 stars but I give 4 since its at 3 now.

When I googled for the closest L&L Hawaiian BBQ nearby, this popped up as the closest. This isn’t even an L&L chain(trying to tell google about it atm)? I called and had a hard time placing my order with the woman(she didn’t speak proper english) that picked up the phone. I did the take out option. I ordered the BBQ mix plate and BBQ chicken plate. Their food tastes similar to L&L but I would prefer L&L for the following reasons… 1. More quantity for your money(They provide more vegetables and rice on the side at L&L) than this plc. 2. This plc charges $ 1.50 to change the macaroni side to vegetables. Whereas L&L doesn’t charge. 3. Ordering via phone is very easy w/L&L H BBQ This plc also sells doughnuts on the side. So when you walk in, it has a funky set up.

I’ve been going to this place for 3+ years now. But after last night’s visit I felt compelled to finally write a review. Over just the past year or so the quality of the food has gone down so much. I ordered egg rolls for the first time last night and they were the smallest frozen egg rolls I’ve ever seen in my life. They were vegetarian :(and were extremely bland. They weren’t even Whole Foods frozen, more like Grocery Outlet frozen. They were 4 for $ 2.75 or something — which was way too much for such small soggy spring rolls. My sister ordered the fried fish and it was so salty. I couldn’t tell if the salt was coming from the fish or in the batter. I ordered the bbq chicken with rice and macaroni salad. The macaroni was amazing as always, but I got such a small portion of macaroni that I didn’t even have enough to eat with my chicken. We ordered to-go and there weren’t any forks or napkins in our bag, and the service was super slow even though we were the only ones in the restaurant… not sure if I’ll be coming back. Unless I’m too lazy to drive somewhere else…

Like some of the other« Unilocalers» out there who have eaten here, this place warrants 3 stars. Not bad, not good, will meet your needs if you are extremely hungry and need your Hawaiian BBQ fix in fairly large portions. Good size portions and reasonable prices. I like the chicken katsu\bbq chicken combo for under $ 10. They now serve brown rice on request, which is another plus. The lady that is always behind the counter doesn’t really smile, but I think that is more of a cultural thing(or maybe she really is miserable like other people have stated; try starting a conversation with her and find out). Overall though, she is nice enough. My only issue is that they will not take a credit card order under $ 10. I know legally they are entitled to do this(based on the new credit card law), but it makes it hard to make a purchase if you don’t have the cash on hand.

I decided to try this place because it’s so close to home. The food was mediocre, it wasn’t the best nor was it the worst. It is decently priced so you can’t go wrong with that. The place is a little run down and could use some deep cleaning and updating. As far as the service, they were quick in making the food and bringing it out to our table. However, the man and woman who helped me, which I assume are the owners, don’t seem to be people persons. They weren’t talkative; they lack people skills. I surprisingly got a half smile from the woman when I thanked her for her services as I walked out. Overall, this won’t be my first choice when it comes to Hawaiian food, but I may return if I’m in this shopping center and I’m too lazy to drive further away for my Hawaiian fix.

One of the cheaper Hawaiian places I’ve been to. An order of Chicken katsu, fried shrimp, and a side order of musubi, no soft drinks came out to $ 20 even. Well, $ 19, but I tipped the dollar because I thought it was worth it. The food here is pretty tasty, but the wait is always ever so long. But don’t be discouraged, it’s still worth it to go. The plates come with two scoops of rice, one scoop of macaroni salad. I have yet to find out if you can substitute for all rice instead, or vice versa. I keep forgetting to ask. Whenever I go to Kaiser across the street, this spot always runs through my mind, but we hardly ever go. I went last week and ordered what I mentioned above, but I am docking one star because I ordered a chicken katsu musubi, but I found BBQ chicken when I opened the styrofoam container. Boo. Another star is going bye-bye because when we reached the hospital, as I was getting ready to eat, I noticed that there weren’t any forks in the plastic bag. Nor were there any napkins. Please, most people who order to-go don’t usually think ahead and remember to get napkins and utensils. Well, at least they didn’t forget the tartar sauce to go with the fried shrimp.

I did not find my meal particularly satisfying. Ordered the Hawaiian BBQ mix. The ribs were bland, the beef was ok, the chicken was fatty and disgusting. The rice and macaroni salad were decent. Went out on a limb and ordered the spam musabi and was pleased with the salty goodness the spam delivered.

Are you of the belief that some of the worst looking places provide some of the best tasting food? Hawaiian barbecue has some definitely delicious tasting barbecue chicken and pork & cabbage kahlua however, where it’s lacking is in its customer service. The owners always appear miserable, tired, cranky and they’re just not people friendly people. But… they can change & I’ve noticed since I’m a regular(1x month) with family attending… I’ve gotten one of them to smile :-). If you can be forgiving that you’re going to be eating on low quality Dixie plates and disposable forks & napkins but you’re going to get filled with good sized portions of food that tastes yummy… then I definitely recommend you give this place a try. Not bad, but not spectacular either. Chicken Katsu is solid. But don’t expect humongous sized portions or anything. Meal comes out to a little over $ 7 for the regular sized box. They are pretty stingy with the mac salad, which is a shame because it’s really tasty. I also liked the katsu sauce as well. Bottom line, if you’re in the area(hopefully not leaving the gym lol) and craving some hawaiian BBQ this spot will fulfill your need!
