My boyfriend and i just discovered this place and man oh man did we fall in live with it. Delicious food and very affordable. All of the staff there is very friendly as well. We’ve got their tacos, burritos and birria(special of the day) and have never been disappointed. Plus a HUGE variety of salsa. Caution though… the orange one is very spicy!

I love coming here! They have a wide selection for breakfast with pictures to see, and they look delicious. I come here mainly for their tripas! It’s yummy and very crunchy. I wish the tripas had a little more fatty meat to it though like other places, but it’s still bomb. $ 2 tripa tacos. Also comes with grilled onions on the side! Dine in, they give you chips. Love their stand at the shell gas station as well. Friendly people overall. Their sauces are good too.

had a carne asada taco and a al pastor taco both were crazy greasy without much flavor. my husband had an al pastor burrito and it was better than the tacos but still i wouldn’t want it again. they did have multiple sauces to choose from which is always a major plus.

What I got: Al Pastor Burrito What I thought: This has now become my go to spot for burritos. Not only is it less than 2 minutes away from where I currently live, but their burritos are legit. I’ve been to a few taqueria’s in the area and this has got to be up there in the rankings. The al pastor tasted fresh and was delicious. Came with rice, beans, sour cream, and large chunks of avocado! Not bad for a $ 6 burrito. Kind of a hole in the wall place. Definitely looking to come back to try the other items on the menu!

The tacos are the best but the service is horrible always make a mistake in my simple order 4 tacos«meat only» and they still put onion and cilantro

Fair warning: this place is cash only. Also, if you want chips, you have to ask. This place is next to my work I’ve been here about 20 times and it’s always the same cook which means consistent quality. My favorite on their menu is the vegetarian quesadilla, I love when places put the toppings inside the quesadilla instead of on the side. This place does that. I’ve also had their vegetarian burrito. It’s cheap, quesadillas under four dollars and the burrito is under 5(vegetarian). They also have a salsa bar with 4 – 5 options. They have an avocado-green salsa that is SOOO yummy!

Hands down they have the best Tripa supreme tacos! Ask for it to be cooked crunchy though, and their orange sauce is pretty spicy but so delicious! Something you should try!

I haven’t been to this plaza since dairy bell was gone. My guys were craving for mexican food, since this was the closest taqueria, I decided to come here. Boy oh boy, I should have come here years ago. I had the fried tripe burrito and it was very good. Cruchy and full of flavor. You can customize the burrito, the standard comes with guacamole sour cream cilantro rice beans. The orange sauce is dangerously spicy, and I usually can tolerant spicy food

This is my go to place for tacos in East San Jose. Their food is delicious and reasonably priced. They make the tacos just the way I like them. I usually go for the carne asada but the al pastor made just outside is also a great choice. They have a salsa bar that includes the essentials; radishes, limes, and salsa of all sorts. My favorite is the spicy avocado salsa.

I’m only rating the food and only the food not the restaurant setup which is why I’m only giving Tres Estrellas. THEIRBURRITOSINGENERAL are loaded solid nicely packed, unlike other local joints burritos R flimsy loose, excess flour tortilla tucked-in ends, leaves you wonderin if you ordered a flour tortilla burrito. Real talk this place prefers quality over quantity, typically you wait about ten minutes give or take depending on what you order. Another thing their bathroom is clean strictly for customers policy. They have a variety of food items sort of like all over the place menu selection but enough to know what exactly they are cooking. The bad thing it’s a Cash only spot, they have ATM machine inside. FYI, can’t go wrong with the Sopes or huarche

El Pollo Y Pollito Tacos is my go to spot for burritos. I tried quite a few places on the East side and I keep returning to this spot. The super burrito at $ 6 is a pretty good burrito. I recommend getting the al pastro, is pretty delicious. Fresh avocados, tasty rice, and the grill mark on the burrito is a very nice touch. They also have a nice salsa bar. This place never gets too busy. The area is condense but parking is never a problem. Food is always fresh and price is very reasonable and that’s a winner, winner in my book.

Went here for a quick dinner on a whim. Browsed Unilocal and noticed subpar reviews, and went in expecting mediocre to below mediocre tacos. I was pleasantly surprised when the tacos were juicy and full of flavor! Definitely not your«average» san jose taqueria(+1 for no orange sauce, the la vics bandwagoner hype needs to die). If you are in the area and have a fiending for tacos, hit this place up! Tacos: 8.5−9÷10

This place is a gem. Affordable prices and GREAT food! I’m a Mexican from LA and been here for 4 years and I’ve never found good Mexican food in the South Bay until I came here. This is my new spot. Try the sopes and carne asada burritos. YUM!

i came in and i reached the cash register someone was working on it, looked at me, but didn’t even acknowledge me when I’ve been standing there for about 3 minutes until a young girl said she will take my order but then started cleaning tables again… she took my order then i grabbed some salsa from the salsa bar. i asked her what was the orange sauce and she didn’t know, then she asked the cook and he didn’t know either… why don’t you know your own food that you serve?!? then i sat and waited… and waited… and waited. 10 minutes pass, my orders not ready… but the person who was behind me with 7 burritos got his order. so wheres mine??? 10 more minutes? not done. i wasn’t even informed that they accidentally took someone else’s order before mine and didn’t even apologize for the wait. it wasn’t until the young girl told the cook that my order wasn’t ready that he finally started working on mine… which took another 10 minutes because he was working on other orders at the same time. 30 minute wait for a burrito with 2 – 3 customers in the shop. i have never waited that long before… and you shouldn’t either. esp for pricey burritos that are more delicious elsewhere.

When the food here is really good and its really good if its bad then its really bad. It seems like when this place was just a taco truck it was much better back then. Still they have killer tacos its just a hit or miss when I come here. I also notice sometimes for six tacos I could be waiting up to 25 minutes which is kind of strange. Still I have to say I keep coming back so the must be doing something right?

This place is a little on the dirty side. Had a carne asada sope and it was decent. Tasty but I needed some salsa and the salsa bar looked really dirty and old… I tried a little bit of it and the salsa didn’t taste like anything so hence the 3 star review. If you go, you won’t be disappointed by the food, you’ll be disappointed by the lack of flavor in the salsas.

Ive always noticed this establishment but never really had the urge to stop by and actually eat. growing up on the east side, there are a number of Mexican joints where i could easily fill up and satisfy my taco/burrito cravings. i have no clue as to what made me randomly stop by one day, but I’m sure glad i did. this place is a quaint little hole in the wall that serves up amazing authentic food. each table is stocked with two types of hot sauce and something that resembles Asian hot chili in oil. this allows you to decide how hot you want your food to be. there is a side condiment bar that is equipped with salsas, pico de gallo, jalapenos, lemons, and radishes.(this was a big bonus for me since Ive gone to plenty of other places that are really shady when it comes to condiments.) customer service is on point. i am always greeted with a smile! i cant stress how polite and patient they are. Ive been here twice and each time we’ve only had their tacos. believe me, they don’t skimp on their servings. our first visit we ordered carne asada tacos as well as the chicken tacos. carne asada is one of our favorites. tender and cooked to perfection. chicken was good but wasn’t anything that really stood out. during out second visit, i wanted to step out of the box and ordered the lengua tacos(tongue) and the crispy tripas tacos. this was my first time having lengua and it was kind of a let down. it was tender but there wasn’t too much flavor involved. the crispy innards were AMAZEBALLS! crispy on the outside but not too too crispy crunchy because i wanted it to still have its normal texture on the inside. does that even make sense? LOL. i will most certainly be back and you can bet carne asada tacos and tripe tacos will be on our tab. i look forward to trying other authentic dishes they have to offer… more so the menudo than anything else. stop by and try … if you haven’t done so already :)

Randomly decided to come here after we sadly found out that our regular dollar taco place, Tacos el Rancherito, was closed for the night. Craving for tacos, my friend remembered seeing a taco truck in this location a few nights ago and suggested that we go try it out. And boy were we glad we did. We pulled into the tiny parking lot and squeezed into a tiny parking spot. You can smell delicious meat being cooked the moment you get out of the car… mmMm! Behind the taco truck was a small tented area that’s closed off for cooking, and in front of it they had a small canopy for customers to sit down for their meal on some plastic tables and chairs. Simple but functional. Initially I wanted to get a hot dog grandito cause in the picture it looked so good(and there’s bacon!), but the girl working there said it would take a long time to make. So we all opted for some good ol’ tacos. Here they’re $ 1.50 but then you get wayyy more juicy meat on it and your pickings off the salsa bar too! Yum! Plus they provide small plastic containers so you can take them to go with you. I will warn you though… all their available sauces tasted pretty spicy. I usually can handle the heat, but man! These were probably made fresh so they had a real kick to ‘em. There was a green sauce that looked tame, but it was almost all gone — I am going to guess it was the only mild one out of all the ones they had. They also have limes and pickled radishes too. Overall, the tacos were really good! Took awhile for us to get our order though — about 10 minutes. I got lengua and chorizo and both were really good. And I love how they cut your meat into bigger chunks here compared to our usual place. I especially liked the lengua because the meat was so tender and it just melted in my mouth. Just thinking about it makes my mouth water. Gonna come back for more!
