favorite Chinese place, i grew up in the neighborhood. after a hair cut next door, cant go home without taking some of this food with me. The older ladies have been there forever. Sweet n sour pork is awesome. ladies give you enough food for 2 days in one fast food container. great prices, great service. egg rolls taste different than any king egg roll. you can tell the cooking is authentic, lots of great flavors for a small take out restaurant. Also order large trays to take, make sure you call first for catering portions.

My husband and I was searching for a quick bite to eat and found this place in the neighborhood. We were greeted by a friendly lady that invited us in. We ordered chow mien with garlic chicken, black bean sauce chicken, lemon chicken, and green beans. All were very tasty and hit the spot. She also piled on the servings!!! Bring cash and she said they also cater. Will be frequenting this place for sure.

There is one lady who works here(I am pretty sure she owns it) and she is SO unnecessarily rude and sassy it has made me never want to come back. I asked for a Chinese chicken salad and she smirks and says«I don’t make that right now.» Then I ask«okay well when will you make it?» And she smirks again then rolls her eyes and says«maybe in a couple of months.» I ask her if she is being serious and she smirks again and says«yes». She’s been rude to me before and I thought she was just having an off day so I gave her the benefit of the doubt and decided to come back again. Bad idea. I ended up not even buying any food. Come here only if you like poor customer service y’all. Don’t say I didn’t warn ya

No this was the worst place I’ve ever been to for Chinese food. The food was cold nasty and they had horrible service. All these reviews I’ve read are wrong unless I just went on a horrible day. The ladies were rude no respect nor manners. Everything I wanted they didn’t have. I asked for soy sauce more than once. She claimed to have put it in the bag, I checked and told her she didn’t put any she says yes I did when I showed her that there wasn’t any in the bag she ignored me and went on to helping someone else. I will never in my life eat there again even if that was the last place on earth to eat at. The worst service and food a person could ask for.

I seriously love this place. I’ve been coming here since I was a little girl. My entire family has been coming here for the longest time. Vicky, the owner of the shop, always hooks it up and their customer service is awesome. Other than having friendly workers, their food is amazeballs. I usually go for their chow mein with skinny noodles, fried rice, beef broccoli, and either orange chicken and lemon chicken. Definitely try their lemon chicken. It’s perfect.

My family has been ordering from this hole in the wall since I could remember! They have a wide variety of food to choose from, but my favorites are their fried rice, garlic chicken & green beans(which are always crunchy, never soggy)! The ladies who work their are just the sweetest, and if you’re a loyal customer, they might slip you a few treats during your visit :) The only downside would be their cash only policy, but there is an obvious sign in store that directs you towards the nearest ATM.

The food is OK, and the ladies who work there are nice. They seem to get in quite a few regulars and they chat for awhile. A minor gripe is that they gossip about customers in Chinese, and even gossiped about me because they thought I couldn’t understand.

Used to go here all the time growing up. Finally got a chance to eat here again after 6 years while visiting the Bay. It tastes the same, in a good way. Prices are low and options are still plenty.

Last time for me, everyone who walked in after me got bigger portions then me which makes my plate twice the price because they got more noodles and meat… must be against white people I guess… their fried rice is bland btw… waste of money for me

My girl friends tells me that this place is Panda Express on crack! She recommended me to get the thick noodles with orange chicken and beef broccoli. I was hooked after my first bite. It’s bomb and the worker is extremely nice. Their not stingy with their noodles and will hook it up! I can’t stop coming back here. She wouldn’t want to eat at any other Asian place. Meat was soft and chicken was crunchy !

Chao Chi’s is our new favorite Chinese fast food place!!! We love their Lemon Chicken — not heavily battered at all. The owners are so nice that they always give us a small soup or eggroll and water for free if we have to wait a bit for our phoned-in orders. Great food and great service for us.

I’m not usually a big fan of Chinese takeout, but this place may have changed my mind! Prices are unbeatable for the amount of food you get. I paid $ 6 and I could barely finish half my food. Not because I didn’t like it, but because I simply got too full! I tried a mix of their fried rice and thick noodle chow mein, spicy garlic chicken, and string beans. I really enjoyed all of it. I’m used to my Chinese takeout being too oily, but this place wasn’t so bad! The service is easy and quick. You literally just choose the items you want and they’ll give it to you. Their English is a little spotty but it isn’t super hard to communicate with them.

This small little place next to Popeye’s is a hidden gem. It has been around for a long time but I made my first visit here recently. For under $ 7(cash only), you can choose up to three items and they stack it pretty well. I did the half and half of the thin and thick noodle chow mein. Both were tasty! My second choice was the garlic string beans and it was good good good! It had bold flavors and it was not soggy like some of the chinese fast food places. My third item was the sweet and sour pork. It was a bit salty but still good. I «think» they use the already marinated bbq pork and covered it with the sweet and sour sauce. The lady that helped me(I think owner) hooked me up with two pieces of the garlic chicken and I am glad she did! It was the bomb! So much flavors and so little fat! I will definitely be coming back here and I already know what I will be ordering next.

Need a quick fix of legit Chinese food but you wanna support local small businesses and you’re on a budget? This is the place to be. I had been craving orange chicken all week but I didn’t wanna give money to big corporations that make cheap knockoffs of Chinese food. Ignore the fact that I absolutely love the PE near me – it’s run by Chinese people who know how to cook the food so it gets a pass. But that is neither here nor there. For $ 6($ 5 on Wednesdays), you can get an over filled entrée of your favorite Chinese food – ranging from fried rice to thin noodles to thick noodles. Combo it up with crispy orange chicken or flavorful vegetables. Their egg rolls are ENORMOUS(twice the size of common sized rolls) and their spicy sauce is a little bit too spicy but I liked dipping my orange chicken in it in small doses. The food is fresh, hot, and amazing and the family that owns the business is very welcoming and kind. They cracked a joke about us liking orange chicken and packed a little more for us which reminds me that I have to try their other dishes. It’s a pretty small place so don’t bring a huge group of 15 or anything. I thought the trays looked tiny in the pictures but they’re actually bigger than I expected and they’re thin so you can get more packed into it. The only thing I would like to see is that they label their food because having to say«I’d like that. No, no, that please. That – er – yeah that.» is kind of embarrassing for me, especially because I’m part Chinese and feel like I should know what it’s called *cries*. It’s also cash only. Otherwise, it’s safe to say that this will be my go-to place for fast, legit, and criminally underpriced Chinese food. 10⁄10 would recommend.

For under $ 7 you can choose two entrée and chow mein or rice. There are two styles for chow mein noodles. Thin or thick. Thick had no vegetables and was dry. Fried rice had very little mix veggies. Sweet n sour pork was decent with large pieces of meat. Calamari eas super dry and hard, but was told it’s a traditional style of cooking the dish. She let me swap out for fried shrimp. Potsticker was over doughy with skimpy filling. Hot n sour soup was pretty good. The best of all the items we ordered was the kung poa chicken. Probably could pass next time, but we were hungry and this filled us up at least.

Came here for a company lunch. We are a small group so it wasn’t a lot. We got different combos #1 chow mein with sweet and sour pork, and lemon chicken. #2 chow mein with lemon chicken, and kung pao chicken. #3 thin chow mein with calamari, and fried shrimp #4 veggies with green beans for extra $, lemon and orange chicken. The veggies were fresh and crisp. The lemon chicken was tender, the orange chicken a little bit chewy, the calamari a bit too crispy but not bad. Also got eggrolls which were good, and potstickers which were okay. The service is very good very friendly. The owner was very attentive and nice too. Everything came out to less than $ 50 so not bad.

My husband and I planned our daughter’s Baptism celebration from New York where we currently reside. It was hard to choose which Chinese restaurant to go to since there were so many highly rated restaurants on Unilocal.Alas, I ended up choosing Chao Chi based on photos. I communicated with the owner by phone a couple times, and she was always so pleasant and friendly to talk with. She wasn’t strict with immediate payment, so that was already a plus. When I did finally drop by to pay for my order, she immediately remembered me and we chatted like I was a regular customer at her place. I ordered the honey walnut shrimp, orange chicken and house fried rice for the party. I have never tried their food before, so I decided to place a take out order of the food that I planned to serve at the party. The honey walnut shrimp was delicious! The coating on the shrimp wasn’t too thick, the mayo dressing was perfectly sweet and tangy, and the walnuts were roasted to perfection. It was also a big hit at the party! Gone in 60 minutes. Haha. The only complaint that I have with this dish is that I wish they put less lettuce/cabbage shreds at the bottom, because it misleads us to think that we get more shrimp than we really do. =| The orange chicken was also delicious! The coating on the chicken wasn’t too thick either, and had a slight crunch that I liked. The dressing was also tasty! Unfortunately, the fried rice wasn’t as tasty as I was hoping it to be. It was slightly on the dry side, and it was just… meh, nothing spectacular or worth ordering again. To sum it all up: Fantastic customer service and delicious honey walnut shrimp and orange chicken. I would definitely come back to try the other entrees the next time I visit.
