Carlos Auto Body shop stole a vehicle from our credit union. They are unprofessional crooks who forcibly tried to make the credit union pay exorbitant storage and repair fees for a vehicle they were asked to repair by the legal owner. Instead of repairing it they refused to give us access to view the vehicle, refused to work with our staff to accomodate its legal return to the credit union and wanted to tack on $ 1400 for storage fees at the rate of $ 90 a day. Because the owner did not pick up the car or pay any money to the auto body shop they decided to try to extort money from a non profit credit union. When we declined to pay them they illegally put a mechanics lien on the car and are selling it to the highest bidder(you cant put a mechanics lien on a car when your license is expired). They refused to give us a copy of the work order that they say amounts to $ 7000(on top of the $ 1400 fees), they have an expired auto body repair license and violated several provisions of CA Civil Code in the process of stealing our car. Look elsewhere for your auto repair needs in San Jose, these guys are going to rip you off, or worse.
