Immediately after purchasing a substantial amount from this establishment I was rudely scolded by one of its obviously deranged bearded employee’s saying never to park in a public parking space ever again without any proper explanation as to why. What kind of customer service is that… Pathetic is what it is

There is no other glass shop in the Silicon Valley that comes close to Carlile. I have bought well over $ 1000 in glass and glass accessories here and have not had one ounce of buyer remorse because the staff is so knowledgable and friendly. They specialize in the headier types of glass but still have glass for every price range. Definitely at least worth a look.

–Excellent customer service. Every staff member there has been nothing but friendly and super helpful in all of the times I’ve visited. Plus, I’ve never felt pressured by the staff to buy a thing, so it’s all good feelings when I’m thinking of asking to check out a certain piece that’s dropping my jaw. Just the other day I came in looking and sounding like a dweeb –asking for a recommendation on a water pipe a little bit larger than a bubbler, when I didn’t know the applicable terminology, and had no idea what I could get in my price range. Ain’t no thang though, because the guy working there treated me great. Right off the bat he highlighted what he thought was the stand-out, best deal for my money, and it turned out to be of a higher quality than I was looking for, at the very bottom of my price range! He patiently and knowledgeably went through my different options, and even found a piece that was a little bit larger than his original recommendation, at the same price, from the same producer. I appreciated his advice, and I have been mmmega satisfied with that purchase from Carlile, as usual. It is one soooolid water pipe. So, so happy. –They showcase local pieces/products, and don’t charge you a f-ton because a product is locally made(I don’t know if Whole Foods could say the same, hah). –This place is a palace chock full of beautiful, impressive glass. For real, this place makes me want to smoke more, so that I may be associated with, touch, and use these beautiful pieces of art. –The atmosphere in here brings me back again and again. It’s clean, smells great(it smells clean, not herbal or incensed), and has relaxing lighting. This is a nice contrast to some other galleries that are like a white, cold, doctor’s office, with sketchy, stained, carpeted floors. Carlile Glass Gallery, rather, reminds me of being at the De Young museum on a chill day, and that makes me look forward to the next time I get to stroll on in and be greeted by their friendly staff. It’s true!

Best glass shop around put water in to let you see how the perk works. Been buying glass for year but never found a place as cool as this place.

It really doesn’t get any better than Carlile Glass Gallery. The staff is knowledgeable about all things related to functional glass art. The legendary glass artist, Carsten Carlile, is in a class all by himself. You’ll be stoked on the selection of vaporizers, mini rigs, and other glass art. Congrats on opening in San Jose, California!
