They carry items that’s not carried at other local stores. I needed a new doorbell, and I found the Nutone door bell that we had before here.
Definitely going to come back for other hard to find items.

I had a problem with my Vacuflo central vacuum system so I decided to call the store with whom I purchased my system from many years ago «Built-​In Center LTE Company.» To my surprise they were still in business and at the same location. Kim answered my call and I described my problem to her. She immediately turned my call over to Tom who was able to provide me with a «telephone diagnosis» saving me a trip down to their store and/​or having to make a home service call appointment Tom was extremely professional and very helpful simply by his knowledge of the type of system I have and described what I needed to do to remedy my problem. The instructions Tom provided me were right on and my system is back up and running perfectly again. I sincerely appreciate the top quality customer service that Built-​In Center LTE Company offers and would highly recommend this company for all your built in appliance needs. I have used LTE for years and they have always had just what I needed.
I am a HVAC contractor and can buy from many different wholesale houses in town, but I find LTE to always be well stocked and the most important thing «very knowledgeable“on their products.

Found LTE through Unilocal and decided to make a call to see if they carried a few parts for my broken attic fan. The sales rep Tom was easy to work with and he gave me the cost over the phone. I later called to see if the whole unit was less expensive than ordering the parts and they were just as helpful. I went with the whole fan and they had it waiting for me when I came in.
The service was great and the cost was reasonable. The fan is now working and we’re all happy at home.

We needed to replace our almost 20 year old noisy Nutone Bathroom Ceiling Fan, and while researching on line, I learned that our model fan has long been discontinued. However, wait a minute, I remembered about 20 years ago I needed some help with our Nutone Room to Room Intercom System and I was recommended to a place on Stockton off Taylor in San Jose, called LTE Built-​In Center. So i looked them up and sure enough they are still in the same location. I called Monday and spoke to a very helpful employee named Phillip, who found the replacement motor in his stock. He recommended bringing the old one to the store and he would test it to determine if the blade might have been bad or if the entire blade/​motor assembly needed to be replaced. So today I stopped by with the piece and Phillip tested it out and showed me why the entire motor needed to be replaced, and I paid for it and thanked them so much. So instead of paying ahandymen to install it, my wife and I just installed the new motor and voila, its quiet as a mouse. Phillip and the entire staff were so friendly and nice, which is how a small single location business can stay in the same place for all these years-​CUSTOMER SERVICE! Thank you LTE!

The power head for the power hose on my built-​in NuTone central vacuum was not working at all. They cleaned it out and had it working in about 20 minutes. I didn’t need to buy a new power head. Thanks guys.

This place is amazing! You will do yourself a disservice by shopping anywhere else. The staff are so friendly, knowledgable and believe in giving customers the service they deserve. Take a chance on them, and you won’t regret it!

Needed some fans for the bathrooms and one of my long-​time contractor friends recommended this place. Always awesome to support the small guy especially with Lowe’s and HD not too far away.
Super knowledgeable about the fans, which was ideal for what environment and gave me great pricing compared to big box shops.

I have never found a store that specializes in bathroom fans only. Before you buy a fan, come listen to it at this store so you know how loud it will be. This store also carries the ducting, dampers, timer switches which really takes the guesswork out of what else is needed. If you read the Ama​zon​.Com reviews you will find out that Panasonic is the quietest and most reliable and Ed carries most that you can listen to. This stores prices will be higher than any on the internet, you will find most models in-​stock.
Even if you don’t end up buying, you gotta come listen to them then make an informed personal decision rather than throw down the dice and pick one based on a customer written review without hearing it.
Remember when you add a bend, increase the ducting, all this lowers the CFM and can change the noise level. Give LTE a checkout before hitting Buy or Add to Cart on a bathroom fan.

Fantastic old-​school store! Working displays of nearly every model of bathroom fan available so you can compare sound, lights, and looks. Most are in stock! We are doing a large remodel project and even though I had researched fans exhaustively online, this place blew me away.
If you want to make a more informed choice of bathroom fan without merely relying on internet advice and little online photos, this is a great place to go – they know their fans and are extremely helpful, well worth the slight upcharge over the bargain basement online places that can result in a return nightmare and expense if things go wrong.
Not too many comprehensive specialization showrooms with good stock and customer service like this left — a wonderful and highly useful gem still available in San Jose! If you are looking for a bathroom fan it’s well worth a visit (and your business!).

If you are looking for bathroom fans then this is the place! They carry a full inventory of ventilation fans from Panasonic, Nutone and Broan. Unaassuming store front hides a great show room of bathroom vent products. They are a distributor as well as selling to end users like me.
This beats Lowes, Home Depot or OSH in selection. Owner/​Engineer Ed has a great showroom where each fan is installed, with all the stats labelled that you can turn on and see for yourself how loud the bathroom fan is going to be. Fans are listed .3 to 1.5 Sones (since I had no idea how loud a sones was this show room was perfect for helping me decide on what was going to work for us — .8 sones was hardly noticable).
Ed was helpful for helping us choose the right model for CFM movement (110 CFM for a 96 sq ft bathroom, running 15min on timer after each shower). He even pointed out a Panasonic model that would fit in a 6″ ceiling (fortunately ours was a standard 8″ ceiling so we could go with a larger more quiet fan). They even carry the duct tubing and attractive end cap. They also carry decorative vent covers for the Panasonic bathroom vents. We chose a metal one over the standard plastic vent cover.
LTE also carries wall mounted garage and in wall vacuum cleaners, whole house fans, medicine cabinets and built in ironing boards. Basically if you need to cut a hole in your wall they can sell you something to put in it.
