Branham Homeowners Association

I’ve lived in this complex for 5 years and since that time, the HOA has raised the assessment fees 4 times. This HOA is corrupt. They find ways to increase our fees. The amount of money put into the remodel of the clubhouse is intolerable. The Nazi pool monitor they hired for the summer made using the pool less enjoyable. They are constantly rewriting the CCCR’s and the RULES, RULES, RULES are just ridiculous. Also, If I don’t want to vote in the election for officers, I shouldn’t be stalked and hounded and have someone waiting for me outside of my garage to shove a ballot in my face and be told to «vote for anyone».
Now I just found out that the assessment has gone up yet again to nearly $ 400 a month, because the HOA anticipates a rate hike in water and its a necessary means to fund the reservers! Well thanks, BHOA! I appreciate you nearly bankrupting me every month! You guys are ruthless and corrupt. I can’t wait to move from this financial hell!

I’ve lived here for about a year and a half now, rented the clubhouse, etc. No complaints so far. Hours seems to change as to availability but I think they are working to make them more convenient.
Fixit requests are responded to very promptly.
There were some issues getting set up on EFT payments, but they have all been resolved.
My only issue is the raising of the HOA this year when it sounds like we are in good shape, but I’m cheap and broke so the explanation of wanting to keep the reserve fund up didn’t mean much to me.
I’m waiting for a revamp of the rec room that looks a little old. I should go to one of the meetings and actually let them know.
