We come here not to bowl, but lunch(husband’s office used to be here) and breakfast. They have Hawaiian local breakfasts(spam, Portuguese sausage, loco moco) and you can sit at the counter. Great for endless cups of coffee & a great greasy spoon kind of breakfast. 4 stars because I can order Portuguese sausage! Service is efficient and friendly.

The place could use a facelift. The food was decent, but a little over priced. I got the linguisa and avacado omelette, and the melted a slice of American cheese on top. It looked a little cheap for being $ 10+. The service was great, people are friendly. Bathrooms need some work… no changing table or handicap stall in the ladies room.

It’s official. This place sucks. The lanes broke constantly(not keeping score and not returning balls). Karaōke has a new DJ now and it’s all clubbing music. This is not a clubbing scene so it’s really weird. Sigh… I really wanted to like this place.

We go to this place to play pool. There are 4 tables, one bigger than the rest. There is a jukebox. I wouldn’t say I am impressed with the place, but the place is not expensive and you can hangout for a longer time. The ambience is very casual, you will see a bunch of downtown dudes with hiphop music playing on their phones or in jukebox.

For a casual bowler it was easier and more affordable than the other nearby bowling alleys. We had a group, and they allowed us to reserve lanes without any hassle. I wasn’t exactly sure how many people were going to show up, and when we had a no show, they went ahead and refunded the amount for that person.

I was at the diner at 11am, Saturday, and the place was packed. My friend said it was the best place for breakfast, and it was pretty good. Food was fine, waitress was friendly. I will go back. Not over-priced. I’ve only been to the bowling alley once. It has pins and balls and stuff.

I go here every time a few of my buddies and I are bored. I believe it’s $ 8 for 2 people and $ 10 for 3+ people. I love the environment there here. I feel safe and secure and it’s a very affordable place to I knack and share tons of laughs. Not only that, there’s a jukebox for even more entertainment instead of hearing clicking and clacking of pool balls.

Firstly, let me start by saying I grew up going to this bowling alley, both my parents have always worked across the street. I’ve had several birthday parties here also, and love the restaruant-especially the Monte cristo yum. I chose to come here tonight for my 21st Birthday… excited to finally enter the bar… the bartender was a sweet lady, but I could not even get a thrid drink. I tipped her after both my first And second drink. I waited patiently after asking three separate times, watched everyone else get served, asked again, she replied yes, no drink again and again… guess the good memories have come to an end at this place bummer… I will try again since I have a past with this place, hopefully I’ll be able to change my review after giving me a horrbible time on this 21st birthday.

DONOTBEFOOLEDBYTHE4STARREVIEW… THISIS A GHETTO… I’d give a zero if I could… the place is filthy, balls are chipped, you won’t find a ball your size on a weekend night, bar is disgusting, no maintenance of the place whatsoever… I have no clue how this place got 4 stars to begin with… absolute shock!!!

We had a great time bowling today. We do not bowl too often but I think I may take up the sport now. I was looking the their website but could not find lesson offerings. I will call them about taking lessons. The staff is great and friendly. The café is on the premises for great food. I could not find a bowling ball that fit my fingers less than 16lbs. They all must have been taken. But all in all it lots of fun. Lots of people there on Sunday having a great time. Score boards are very good and funny.

This review is for the sports bar only. We were super tired and this place was right next to our hotel so we walked over to grab an after dinner drink. It’s a pretty run down place but lanes were packed. Walked into the bar and we were greeted promptly by the bartender and he made our drinks quickly. Biggest annoyance was the people gambling right at the bar. Like are you kidding me with those loud ass dice?! Throwing them aggressively at the bar top like why is all of that necessary? The patrons themselves were also rude and unwelcoming. We finished our drinks quickly, so we could leave. Should have went to the doghouse instead.

My family and I had an extra day to spend in San Jose just before catching a plane to complete our move to Texas. Without a care we were limited to entertaining the kids within walking distance to our hotel near SJC. Thankfully 4th Street Bowl was a short 15 min walk away. Mike at the front counter was especially accommodating with our young children and was very courteous. He let us select our desired lane, set up the bumpers, and brought out the accessible ball roller. Shoes seemed fairly new or at least well maintained. We had some minor issues with one of the lane consoles but again Mike was there to save the day. All in all a great lasting impression of San Jose on the close of our 4 year California Adventure.

Just like any other bowling alley, you get your shoes, you search for your game winning ball. Then you enjoy seeing your balls and confidence roll down the gutter. This alley has nice smooth lanes, clean shoes, clean sitting areas, and a staff that responds quickly to your ball fetching/pin errors. Would I come here again? Definitely! The only mark that took away the perfect 5 star score was that our lane caused a lot of balls to get stuck behind the pins. No strike, but its a spare!

Bowling: the shoes were a bit uncomfortable for me, and the balls were scattered everywhere so you have you go look for one that is your size. Other than that, great experience! Really fun and enjoyable. If your child needed assistance, you can even request for this metal bar thing that would help your child row the ball towards the pins. Pool: there are 4 pool tables behind the register and I’ve played here a few times as well. The cues were worn out, and the table is not in perfect shape either. Still, it is playable. There is also a juke box in the corner of the pool area where you can play music if you insert money I believe.

I came here last night for the $ 10 unlimited bowling, and the lanes were glitchy. They kept freezing in the middle of our games. Sometimes pins wouldn’t come down, sometimes pins wouldn’t be cleared away. One of the lanes even shut down on us in the middle of our game so we had to move, but we still encountered glitchy lanes.

Easy parking and lots of activities to do here besides bowling. Also a La Vic’s next door which I’m not a fan of but I know a lot of other people are.

Came here for a work event. So a little biased because it was all paid for by work and we had the place practically all to ourselves. All the workers, managers, owners seemed really happy to have us and were pretty helpful. We got to bowl, play billiards and sing karaōke. Also they fed us, buffet style. They either catered or got the coffee shop next door to cater. But it was delicious — salad, steamed veggies, pasta and meatballs. All in all, a super fun afternoon. The place seems ok for bowling, not too old but not too new. And they were advertising all these specials for bowling –during the weekdays, after 9 pm, etc so that seems like the time to come back.

Where do I start… This place is a strange combo of bowling alley, diner, bar, pool hall and dance club. I came here with my family and for the first time in my life bowling felt like it wasn’t family or kid friendly. The whole vibe was just pretty seedy. We got set up in our lanes easily and the service was prompt. The high points ended there. There were a limited number of balls and those that were out were terribly greasy. I think I washed my hands three time in the course of one game. Ordered the onion rings and they were terrible. Good size for the price but disgusting in general. I’d skip this place until they clean up their act!

I had bookmarked this a while ago b/c my man had wanted to go there. I was lukewarm on the descriptions — looked too«fake diner» to me in the photos, but no — it is «real diner-y» inside(yeah!) We sat at the counter right in front of the Kitchen which was a real show(I loved the waitress that kept touching the toast and then deciding it was too cold to serve, and having to re-do it, but I am digressing here.) I had the special«breakfast burger» — sure it was 10am — but it does have the word«breakfast» in it. Woo-wee it really silenced that Burger craving I have been having since reading a book by Jim Gaffigan called«Food: a love story» which is laugh out loud funny if you dig low-brow food.(quote…“Celery better get Buffalo wings a great holiday present”). Whoops… I’m digressing again, back to the review. The burger was a great diner burger — thick sliced bacon, cooked medium, with an egg on top to make it «breakfast-y». My only quibble would be that the egg was well done rather than oozing. I got fries with it –and would have preferred Heinz ketchup to Hunt’s ketchup —but minor quibbles. Not quite sure what the container of butter was doing on my plate — but who complains about butter on their plate right? My man got the French toast sandwich — which is not really a sandwich, but 4 pieces of French toast, 2 eggs and your choice of sausage or thick slice bacon. The French toast was nice and thick and properly Frenched — nice and moist. Also came with an even bigger container of butter than my burger did, but at least it made sense with the meal. The counter staff is super attentive — with refills of coffee and water. We’ll be back.
