Be very careful to bring your white clothes here. I brought my new white jacket here for dry cleaning and the color was completely different when I picked it up. I didn’t even recognize that was mine until I verified the brand tag. It’s the ugly dim color and my jacket looks like it’s 15 years old. Then the girl told me it’s completely normal. She said if you wash white clothes it always turns out yellow or grey… WTF??? Then she asked me to come back to see the owner. I really don’t have much time to kill. It’s one of my favorite jackets for work and I was excited to wear it in winter. now it’s gone…

Great mom and pop cleaner in San Gabriel. The owner is nice and remembers customers. She even sends me a handwritten Christmas card every year. Pay in advance for a 20% discount. They can also do same day cleaning if you arrive early in the morning. They also do tailoring if you need it.

Shine Cleaners is in one word«Amazing»! I was going there for a few months before I recently moved and I have to say the owner(sorry ;(can’t remember her name) made me fee like I was her most important customer. She even gave my girlfriend and I a handwritten Christmas card! When you pay in advance you even get a discount. I don’t know any other businesses that do that. I highly recommend Shine Cleaners.

I have to give top rating to Shine Cleaners. They saved my life!!! They helped me during a last minute situation that could have ended in a catastrophe. I had taken my sons graduation gown to be pressed My son didn’t tell me he needed his graduation gown for an event at school that night. Shine Cleaners had the gown back and pressed for me within an hour after I called. I am truly grateful to them!

So I have been patronizing this place for well over 7 years now. Their service has always been good to great and the price has always been very reasonable. I too always take advantage of the 10% — 20% pre-payment option. Lately though(a few months ago) I started to notice that the quality of the cleaning, pressing, etc. was very bad. I mentioned this and I was told that they had just switched companies that they outsource their work with. Numerous times now, stuff has not been ready on the date I was told and/or my stuff has not been available because it was sent back to be re-done because the finished product was so bad. I am giving them the benefit of the doubt since I have been coming for so long and the service and prices are still good. If they do not quickly fix this issue though, I will take my business elsewhere.

Let’s face it, dry cleaners are a dime a dozen in the San Gabriel Valley. I really lucked out when I found Shine Cleaners 6 months ago. I have yet to try any other cleaners and found no reason to do so. Shine has taken care of all my dry cleaning needs and their prices are reasonable. It’s located on Las Tunas Rd., just look for the sun on their outdoor signage! Turnaround is about 4 days. Trench Jacket $ 8 Sweater $ 4 Blouse $ 3.75 10% off if you pre-pay which I always do! Service is always wonderful. They do alterations but the prices were a bit too steep for me. I’ve really learned how to save in this town!

I’ve been going to Shine Cleaners for a year and a half now. Their 20% off pre pay discount was very appealing. I’ve had great service up until a few months ago. A few months ago, I went in Shine to have one of my dress shirts cleaned(laundry). Upon wearing my freshly laundered shirt while I was on vacation, I noticed that the shirt smelled horrible. The shirt smelled like old wet towel. I was at a club with some friends, great how am I going to hit on girls now? I tried everything to cover, the embarrassing smell but nothing worked. I probably sprayed like 3 or 4 different kinds of cologne that night. Thank god it was a short trip. When I came back from the trip, I immediately told the young lady who worked at shine cleaners what had happen. She apologized, sent it in for a re-cleaning and told me she would notify the owner. After a second wash, the girl said she personally smelled each shirt and made sure there was no foul smell. Great service despite what had happen, everything was back to normal and I was a happy camper. No more wet towel smell at the clubs. Now fast forward a few months later. Tracy who seems to be the owner is now working in the front. I had my shirts cleaned and it came back smelling like old wet towel again. I also noticed a pair of slacks that I had sent in had some damage to the zipper, probably required a quick 5 mins on the sewing machine. I go back to shines the next business day to let them know what had happen. Tracy, seemed skeptical. Tracy said she smelled some of the shirts in the batch and they were fine, I told Tracy yes, that may be true but some of the shirts went to dry cleaning and some went to laundry. The ones that went to laundry had the smell. Point is, she admitted she didn’t smell all of them. Tracy also suggested that if there was a problem with them that I wouldn’t be the only customer complaining. Tracy would have been right if I knew how many complaints she has received. Now at this point I’m starting to feel like she doesn’t believe me and that I’m here just to scam her out of a few dollars in dry cleaning. Whatever happen to the customer is always right? I really could careless about a few dollars, I had better things to do with my time like eat at a Unilocal reviewed restaurant. Tracy did offer to re-clean the shirts for free, but she didn’t seem too happy about it and made me feel like I was being accused of setting this whole thing up. I also pointed out the damage done to the pants, at this point she seemed frustrated at me and shook her head. Tracy said this is the last time she’s going to do this, she started muttering something like how this isn’t going to work. Last time? Isn’t going to work? This wasn’t a favor I was asking, there was clear damage to the pants and the shirts smelled like wet towel. I had enough! I took back my clothes and told her forget it, I’ll take my business down the street. I told her I’ll be giving her a online review, she replied by threatening with a law suit, so Unilocalers beware! gosh, I’ve been neglecting this place. I’ve been taking my stuff here since I used to work at the rental car branch next door years ago. They are great. relatively cheap — always prepay — you get 20% off. Staff is great. I don’t have anything bad to say about them. I’m usually not one to demand that my stuff gets done by a certain date — but if you need — you can ask, they will accomodate.

I’ve been going to Shine Cleaners since they had a store on Del Mar and Mission. They have since closed that location, but their quality of service has not changed. This location is actually bigger than their old one. I take all my dress shirts, slacks, sweaters, and jackets to them. In all the years of taking my clothes there, I have never had one item of clothing damaged or mishandled. Their prices are very cheap, especially if you pay when you drop off your clothes(20% discount if you pay when dropping off). The entire staff is very friendly and attentive to your needs. Shine Cleaners is definitely a winner in my book…
