This is the first neighborhood bar I’ve been to in San Gabriel. I usually only hit the bar scenes in Los Angeles. But I must say that this place is quite nice. It feels like a bar that you walk in, and everybody already know who you are, while the bartender mixes the usual for you without having to ask. Yes, just like a Saloon. I recalled the bartender was a really nice guy who is able to keep a conversation going all night. We walked in at around midnight for drinks, and stayed until closing time. It was quite cool! I was first introduced to the Dirty Ketel Martini mixed drink here. It dirty alright. Dirty as in being a creeper that hits you later on in about a half hour. The martini consist of Vodka, Vermouth(wine), and olives. Yes it’s an easy mix that tastes both with a touch of sweetness, with it a little tad of a bitter kick. It’s a weird drink, but is addicting. Cheers! LOL. We all must have had three to five each. Of course we didn’t drive after. We sobered up first leaving our cars in the small parking lot. Be safe and responsible!

They serve $ 2 Chuck in a dirty glass for $ 3.50 if you are desperate for company.

This place is a shit hole. The owner and the customers are disgusting. Uneducated bar girls. Barf room smells like a dumpster.

This place has improved a lot since the last time I was there a couple of years ago. Remodeled interior, good beer selection($ 4 each?) and hot [female] bartenders. Would definitely come back again.

Love this bar! I come here every Monday to visit my favorite bartender Natalie. You can’t beat the great music, the amazing prices, and the gorgeous Natalie behind the bar.

They had a ton of beer in bottles, but only Rolling Rock on tap which was kind of disappointing. There is a jukebox for you to play songs off of. What is nice though is that there is a pool table that is free to play.

Here at Sharky’s sports bar they have a lot of different domestic and imported beer from bud light to xingu! They have an awesome juke box with music from the police to kroq’s oldies. They have one beer on tap ant its 12 dollars for a pitcher! Great right! They also have one pool table going for 75 cents. Sometimes its free like today and the last time I went. I’m giving it 4 stars because it could be a bit bigger with more beers on tap. The beer is cheap here but only one on tap and only one table but most of the time it doesn’t really matter because it’s usually slow here so you mostly have the bar to yourselves with 2 – 4 people there on the weekday and on the weekend its a bit more packed. Don’t worry about not getting the pool table thought because the people here are pretty cool about sharing it as long as you call your spot. All the times I’ve been here I’ve never seen any drama going on and I’ve been coming here for about a good 2 years now almost every other weekend. Another down side is it usually gathers a bunch of older people, but its a good place to relax and have a few drinks with your buddy’s. All in all it’s a good quaint place to sip on good beer listen to good music and play your hand at pool. Sharky’s will always be a nice place to go to to get away and enjoy beers.

I’d assign zero stars if I could and here’s why. $ 3.00 for a glass of Two Buck Chuck. It’s worth noting that at eight in the evening there was only one patron in the entire bar.

Cool spot to catch a game. I went there with my buddy today. Beer was cheap and the people were cool, I can’t ask for much more.

I’ve only been there once and it involves some drawn out foggy experience where we were there probably a bit after the place should’ve closed and everybody was having a ball, until the bartender(chick) rolled outside with a pool cue ready to smash some girls head after getting into some heated discussion over religion with one of the patrons. Up to that point, it was one of the most laid-back, dancing on the bar(literally… not me, but people in my party) good times. I prefer cocktails and Al’s is next door. So maybe I’ll wander in here again.

This place only sells beer! Good enough for me when I’m in the mood. Prices are average, what you’d expect anywhere else. It’s a block away from Al’s, and you just feel the tension, like there’s a rivalry between the two(or maybe I made it up). My experience here though was pretty awesome. I love playing pool, and they have a table there, although not a standard sized one. Play for free, meet some cool regulars(they’re good!). The restroom is kinda sketchy, in a dirty way, kinda old school don’t-give-a-damn way I guess. Service is friendly and helpful, can’t go wrong with that. All in all, it’s very laidback here; a good place if you’re in the area to unwind.

This is an old people’s bar. Came in here on a saturday night and it was DEAD. They only serve beer here and they don’t have many options.

Kim Kardashian would throw up a little in her mouth if she walked in here. Grimy, casual and strangely irresistible, like a Vincent Gallo film(complete with unnecessary sex scenes), — it’s worth a visit.

I have only been there once. I really enjoyed it. It was kick back and easy to hangout. They have an amazing Brazilian beer Xingu(something like that). I am not a big fan of dark beers at all. This was incredible. It is a dive bar and some patrons may pay more attention to you than you want them to, but nonetheless harmless. I know I will find myself back over there soon.

I went to Sharky’s for the 1st time last Friday. Let me tell you, for a hole-in-the-wall type of place it was great! It is a small bar with a few round tables and high chairs, a pool table in the back of the bar, and TV’s showing different sporting events(one had the History channel which I love). The bartender, Angelica, was AWESOME! I will be back this Friday!

Great local dive with a nice selection of beers. Jukebox has some tunes that are older than I am and I still can’t help bobbing my head. Great music if you know what you are doing. Bar Box Pool Table is awesome. Coin operated, .75 a game, winner stays on the table, put your quarters under the rail on top of the coin slot and wait your turn.

Sharky’s has good beer. Daniel the bartender is a super friendly guy, and will talk your ear off about everything good. :) They carry this really good Brazilian beer called(pardon the spelling… it might not be right) Xingu. I highly recommend it. Very tasty. One of the best dive bars around. The patrons are regulars, and very nice. The jukebox is really good. Give this guy your business.

Go to Al’s for Cocktails, come to Sharky’s for Beers. These two Dive bars are literally across from each other. Both have great crowds and both have great Bartenders. Daniel is a top notch dude and will not hesitate from pouring you an extra pint of Bluemoon so long as you’re having a good time. $ 16 for a pitcher of Bluemoon, and $ 12 for a pitcher of Bud. Not too shabby. Granted most of the patrons are regulars, so come and socialize. you’ll probably have a good time.

Aka Bamboo, Sharky’s is a small hidden dive bar off of Las Tunas in San Gabriel. They have a Valley bar box(FREE play) & they participate in the APA. Sunday days are great during FOOTBALL season, because they have 8 Direct Channels &8 large flat screens. The jukebox is old school, but with some great classic tunes. Not surprisingly, mostly regulars hangout at this bar during the afternoons. For a young crowd, your best bet is to go on a Friday or Saturday night. It is a CASHONLY establishment with a great import selection: Guinness, Amstel, Heineken, Newcastle, Stella Artois, Spaten, Xingu, Killian’s Irish Red, Blue Moon, Angry Orchard, Dos Equis Lager, Corona, Samuel Adams.
