3.5 stars. Phở Tai(Rare Beef Noodle Soup): Really tender meat! Just the right ratio of meat to noodle. And the garnishing(bean sprouts and basil were fresh). Phở Thit Nuong(Charboiled Pork Noodle Soup): Did not taste but my friends seemed to enjoy it. Goi Sua Tom Thit(Shrimp, Pork Loin & Jelly Fish Salad): Sweet. Needed more flavor. Missing freshly fried shallots and Vietnamese mint. The only pro was no fish mint added. Cha Gio(Vietnamese Fried Rice Paper Rolls): This was a hit for everyone. Bi Coun(Fresh Rice Paper Rolls with Pork Loin, Pork Skin & Lettuce): Not bad. And best part was no vermicelli. Goi Coun(Fresh Rice Paper Rolls with Shrimp, Pork Loin, Vermicelli & Lettuce): Too much vermicelli. Will be back for the Phở Tai.

One of the better Vietnamese restaurants I’ve tried in the SGV area. We ordered: Phở Dac Biet: It was really good, just a tad too sweet. Bun Rieu: It was okay. Not as savory. The phở was definitely a lot better. I also loved the dessert at the end. Wish they would’ve given more! I’ll probably come back for phở or to try something new.

Default phở place when I’m home in the 626 because it’s close, fast, and gets the job done. I always get the Phở Tai and it’s good. I don’t really see the difference in phở in different places but the pro here is the noodles aren’t crappy like they are at other phở places. The difference here is that your phở comes with a free dessert and I don’t even know what it is but it’s so yummy! It also is the perfect addition after your meal. Will always be back here since service is quick as well.

First off, the prices are great, considering the portion sizes and, of course, the quality of food that you receive here. It started as a friend recommendation which you never want to doubt if you have never been to the restaurant yourself. Saigon Eden has some pretty easy parking located either along the curve or in a private lot next to some other smaller shops. I love that rightaway you can smell the flavors of pork and green onion when approaching the restaurant. Pretty nice ambiance. You have a couple of indoor glass waterfalls. Yup. Some potted trees and welcoming restaurant colors that DON’T remind you of a shady Vietnamese establishment. Plenty of food dish varieties to indulge in, especially on the broken rice dish end. But for all first time experiences, you gotta go for the Phở Tai with a side of egg rolls, if you can consume all of it yourself. Luckily there was a fun variety of spring rolls, egg rolls, thai iced tea, phở, shrimp and egg broken rice dishes, and much more to experience. Plenty of flavor in the broth for the phở tai, chunky and rough egg rolls which you don’t see too often, the spring rolls, even leftover at home, tasted amazing, and the broken rice dish, subtle in flavor but warm and caring at the same time. As for the bill, for a medium sized phở tai bowl, under $ 7. Win! Altogether, very little damper to the wallet. Definitely worth revisiting. Saigon Eden holds firm as a confident Vietnamese food establishment knowing how to present and serve to its customers. It doesn’t feel like one of those restaurants that were«snuck in» off the road. Saigon Eden both looks and feels good. Next time I’m in town, rather than exploring for other Vietnamese food, I will try more off their menu.

This is our favorite place to get fried Vietnamese eggs rolls. We love the wrapper they use and the ingredients inside the rolls is always so flavorful. So far everything we have ordered is good and above the standards of the cheapy chain Vietnamese in the 626. I have had their Bun, spring rolls, egg rolls, and pork chop and rice dish and was super happy. I love that they put fresh garlic in their fish sauce. So garlicy! Perfect for making out.

My favorite phở place in SGV. Everything tastes perfect here! The wait is never too long, no matter what time and day you come. The service is so fast too. Our phở bowls are usually out in only 10 minutes or less!

My first visit here was a rather pleasant experience, worthy of a 4 out of 5 score. I had the bun(cold vermicelli noodles) and it was very good! But tonight I had chicken phở. It was GROSS. The chicken, described as «shredded» on the menu, turned out to be these giant, knuckle-shaped and –sized knotted lumps of grossness. Googly and slimy. Furthermore, the broth tasted like nothing but SALT. And the«fresh» basil leaves were wilted, brown on the edges and anything BUT fresh. This place serves a good bun and spring rolls… but ugh, avoid the chicken phở unless you like knuckle-shaped, twisted knots of slimy chicken meat. Perhaps the beef phở is good… I guess this place merits another visit for the beef phở alone. In any case, I do NOT recommend the chicken phở(phở ga)!

Great broth and noodles something about the noodles here tasted so much better than other phở noodles. Only thing is their medium is pretty small I order a medium everywhere else I go and usually have some left over but this medium was not nearly enough for me so definitely go with a large.

Came here on ¼/16 and had a horrible experience. The ambience is nice, its clean and they put work into their decorations. Service– Waiters are prompt. They don’t really speak english, so if you have a problem they might not understand/you might not get your situation fixed. Two customers had issues with their bills and it took very long to fix it and caused the cashier station to be backed up for a while. Food– Waiter informed me they didn’t have meatballs today. That was kind of a bummer since that’s my go-to, but I ordered the rare steak and rice noodles.(Medium costs 6.50) The noodles were a little on the hard side, so if you’re expecting soft rice noodles this isn’t the place. Also the amount of noodles they give you just isn’t enough. My boyfriend ordered a large and after giving me some of his noodles I still left unhappy. I dont think I should’ve paid $ 7 for a bowl of phở and still be hungry when I leave. Overall, I wasn’t happy with my meal and left still hungry. It’s sad when places on Unilocal that have really good ratings aren’t up to your expecations. Won’t be coming back.

Quality has gone down, significantly. Beef that tastes freeze dried, dirty plates and old vegetables. So sad, won’t be back anytime soon.

Great tasting Phở! Had a craving for phở during a very cold night. Unilocaled phở and Saigon Eden came up. The service is great and they are fast. Not long after sitting and placing our order the hot phở was at our table! The phở is starting at $ 4.95 for a simple bowl of rice noodles and beef meatballs, but they also have a Kobe option and Ribeye option along with your typical Phở options(I.e. Tripe, brisket, tendon, etc). If you would like something other than Phở, they have that too. Noodles, sandwiches, house specials!

So when you skim the menu, you can’t help but notice the phở with kobe beef. Phở Kobe($ 11.95 — medium) The meat to noodle portion was a little strange. They give you a good hearty amount of the kobe beef and barely any noodles. Also, they don’t use the regular phở noodles, which loses a star just for that. I noticed some other people at our table did get the regular phở noodles, but everyone that ordered the Phở Kobe didn’t. This serves as your warning. The kobe is awesome, tender. However, the fact that you barely get the wrong kind of noodle just makes the entire bowl not as satisfying as I was hoping, especially for this price.

Short and simple. My family and I always come here because the price is right, our order is always correct, food cooked to our liking, service is attentive and sometimes they give us complimentary tapioca for dessert. Yum! Yes, I know there are plenty of other phở/Vietnamese restaurants in the SGV but this one is pretty close to us and we’ve been coming for years. Also… the restaurant is pretty clean too.(at least to the naked eye.) I know some places have food particles left on the table from the previous guests. Not here… tables, chairs and utensils always looked clean. We typically like to order phở, vermicelli and sometimes spring rolls as an appetizer.

I came on a Saturday evening. Place was poppin, but servers still managed to be friendly and helpful. I got the phở tai. Broth was perfect. Savory and not too oily. I am also a sucker for the free dessert at the end. I think its alao important to note, i came by myself and really enjoyed how i could take my time here. I didnt feel rushed at all.

Ditched our default Golden Deli and can’t be any more excited discovering a new place. The menu has a great variety with the usual phở and vermicelli as well as the not so usual porridge, stir fried noodles and rice dishes. The vermicelli with grilled pork and egg roll($ 7) that I got came with a tangy and sweet dressing on the side. I love how this dish is clean tasting and semi healthy with all the greens, but also filling and satisfying with the noodles and the crispy egg roll. Prices are super affordable, portions are big, and there’s complimentary tapioca dessert!

Came back here a second time cuz my Mom digged the Phở Kobe for its tender sliced meat, and I decided to try out their broken rice dish. I dig their phở here, but the broken rice dish… it was alright. I got the Com Bi Cha Thit Nuong(charboiled pork and Steamed Egg). The portion is large and hearty, but the steamed egg was kinda chewy and lacked flavor. The grilled pork was okay and the shredded pork I like. The rice was a lot, but it didn’t taste fluffy and fragrant. The dipping sauce that came with it waa sweet, thick and had a lot of garlic. I liked the broken rice dish better at Vietnam House. Free dessert after each meal. Though, at the end, they short changed us. They apologized for it. I was okay with it, but Mom was miffed since that wasn’t cool. Overall, second time back was alright, but I’ll just stick to the phở.

This is my second favorite place to go to after Golden Deli since it’s a little farther from me! Ambiance: I really like how the ambiance is so cozy which makes it a perfect place to go on a cold rainy day! They always decorate according to season, so right now there’s Christmas lights up. It’s cute hahah! Service: Always good! The same men are always working. Always available and ready to help and service you when you need help or have a question. Food: It’s always out pretty quickly! I really like their spring rolls #9(shrimp + pork) and their rib eye Phở. Their Chicken phở is also really good! Phở all comes with a plate of bean sprouts and limes like all phở restaurants. They have sauces on the side. All the food comes out quickly but tastes fresh! So good! Good quality food. Price: Good prices because it is good food :) Spring rolls may be quite expensive because it’s 2 for $ 4.50 but the ingredients they use are quality and very fresh. It’s worth it. It’s totally affordable and prices aren’t over the top here. Take a visit here if you’re in the 626 and craving some vietnamese rice plates, phở, spring rolls or banh mi!

I really enjoyed my bowl of phở. Plenty of noodles and meat, with tasty broth! Pretty big portion, too. Fast service, and clean interior. Complimentary tapioca dessert after your meal. Side Note: my boyfriend ordered the seafood banh canh(udon noodle soup); it was BAD. the broth tasted like chinese broccoli steam water(bitter), and the little udon in it was clear noodle! comes with a few shrimp and a crab claw. boyfriend was extremely pissed, LOL, but that’s his bad for ordering random banh canh at a phở restaurant. STICKWITHTHEPHO!

Average experience. The chicken curry rice vermicelli was not as good/tasty as Vietnam House in San Gabriel. In addition, the portions seemed slightly smaller. I do appreciate how they put my noodle separate from the soup though, so you can see how much you’re actually getting and have the ability to put it in your curry soup at your own pace/leisure. A major dislike I had however, were how there was basically a whole potato in the soup in 3 pieces. They were way too big; I’ve never been to a restaurant that cut them so big. My boyfriend ordered the Kobe beef phở, which was pretty pricey. His phở cost around $ 12 for the medium bowl(only medium or large options) and did not taste spectacular or any special to me, although the beef was softer. The rice noodles in his soup were not shaped like normal phở noodles(they were wider) and were too long, in his opinion. I feel like I’ve also had better phở broth elsewhere; it was a bit salty. Service was fine but not extraordinary.

In the not so distant past my husband and I were doing some errands in the Arcadia/Monrovia area. We hoped to make it home early enough to have lunch in the OC but things didn’t go as expect. When lunchtime came around and we agreed on Phở. So out came my handy dandy Unilocal app and I began searching for something close to the Santa Anita Mall. I wanted to trick my husband into going to the mall(being that the mall was not part of our errand list) because I was itching to visit the Sephora but alas the angels of all things beautiful were busy elsewhere. No Sephora me that day :( Since I wasn’t able to find anything worthy enough by the mall I expanded by search and up popped Saigon Eden. We made our way over and walked on in. Lucky for us the lunch rush was gone(if there was a lunch rush). There was plenty of seating and we were seated immediately. We knew what we wanted so menus were not necessary. The interior is clean decorated in dark wood paneling and tables. There are mirrors on the sidewalls to give it a larger feel and clean tile flooring. My husband ordered a large phở with Kobe beef and meatballs. I went with my usual medium phở with rare beef, with iced coffee. Our food came out rather quickly as did our iced coffees. The broth was average, it had a good flavor but it wasn’t piping hot and it lacked consistency and spices. Because the broth was not that hot I had to play around and push my meat to the bottom so it could cook. My husband felt the same about his broth; we would have much preferred if it was steaming hot. As usual our phở came with the typical side of water sprouts, mint, jalapeños and lemon. Lunch was good, it filled our tummies. I don’t think it’s up to par with Phở Tasty in Cerritos(their broth literally taste like Christmas), Phở 87 in DTLA-Chinatown or Phở Hong Phat in Long Beach-those are my top 3.
