I’ve heard that this salon has been around for the last 20~30 years and it even established a local loyal customer base who actually set the appointment ahead of time. Price: $ 8 for regular male haircut with additional $ 7 for washing your hair; haircut for ladies is a bit complicated — $ 10 for short hair(around the neckline), $ 12 for medium hair(around the shoulder line), $ 15 for long hair(around the breast line), and $ 18 for extra long hair(around the waist line). The hair salon is a bit small and cramped(with no TV), but it is run by middle-aged Asian ladies and they are all very friendly and skillful. These ladies know enough English to get by even though almost everyone here speaks Mandarin or Taiwanese. Service was good — my barber even asked me whether the barber cape was too tight and asked whether I was satisfied with the current look during middle of my haircut. The wait could be long(15+ minutes during busy time), but overall Marion Hair Salon is one of the better Asian barbers I’ve been to in the San Gabriel Valley. Reasonable price, excellent service, and pretty skillful barbers.

Like another Unilocaler, my brother desperately needed a haircut too. His usual place for a quick $ 6 cut was closed today for no reason. Oh well, we take our business elsewhere! We head two blocks west and enter the small Marion Hair Salon. Like all the other mediocre Chinese hair salons, this one was packed with older ladies and grandpas looking for a quick and cheap fix. It’s $ 8 for men and $ 10 for women, and more depending on the length of your hair. We walked into a full house with only one salon chair open. The lady in the back happily signaled us to her as she finished up her lunch. Usually, you only get nice treatment when you and your barber have a mutual friend, but my brother’s barber was so nice! She knew he was uncomfortable with his Cantonese, so she tried talking to him in her broken English. She took her time and even gave him tips on how to style his hair! This type of service from a Asian establishment is rare. Ergo, the five stars. I hope my brother comes back again.

$ 12 for ladies. Looking to trim off 2 – 3 inches. Did a ok/fine job(wasn’t expecting a 3 hr awesome hair do or anything). No fancys frills here. Just simply, basic, mom n pop type barber shop. They do speak English(enough to get by).

Outstanding customer service and the price can’t be beat! All of the workers are top notch. I take an hour drive here every year to get a haircut by Ruby. I definitely recommend this salon!

$ 6 bucks for a haircut? Can’t go wrong with that. Make sure to get it cut by Linda. I told her exactly what I wanted and she knew exactly how to cut it. Linda never disappoints. Don’t ever get your hair cut from anyone else their. They will definitely mess it up. A guy just walked out cuz his hair was cut too short.

Have: Hipster brother who has hair so long, you’d be ashamed you thought he was a girl from behind. Need: Chop chop. We picked him up from his dorm for a weekend with the fam, and oh my, he absolutely needed more than a trim. We phoned up some relatives, and they recommended this place. From the outside, it looks really small, and I was definitely tempted to step into one of the fancier salons in a nearby plaza. There was parking in the back and we proceeded to walk right in. They have four chairs, all taken when we got there. The boss lady tells us to take a seat, she’ll get to us in a second. They work pretty quickly, and about 10 minutes later, my brother takes a seat, he likes his hair long, so we ask for a similar cut, just shorter. The place is pretty busy but they get through the cuts fairly quick. A lot of the people seemed like regulars, mostly older folk who come in for a trim every week or two. The four women who work there have been there for years, and I’m sure they recognize their regulars. Bro got his cut, it was kind of thin in the back, but hey, it’ll dry faster! Come here for cheap quick cuts! Price is listed on the front window, only $ 6 for a buzz, but I believe it was ~$ 8 for my bro’s bc she took the time to razor cut it. If I were a guy, I’d def come here. Maybe I’ll give it a go next time, I’m sure it’ll look better than my attempts to cut my own hair at home: P
