We love Lucky Burger. The best part is that no matter what we order, its always just 10 minutes. I haven’t found anything on their menu that I didn’t like. Plus breakfast served all day. YES!!!

I’ve been meaning to try this place for a while. I was hoping it’d be one of those hidden gems that have super delicious food. It was just OK. I got a pastrami sandwich combo, but I got chili cheese fries in order to make the order $ 10. It’s a $ 10 minimum purchase to use credit card and I didn’t have enough cash. The pastrami is not as good as any other sandwich place. And not enough pastrami. The chili cheese fries were decent though.

I love coming to this burger joint! They always serve fresh french fries! That’s unusual for a burger joint! I always place my order and is always ready on time. I will always come back when I’m in the area!

Used to really love this place, but in the past few months they’ve raised the prices, and I think the portions have gotten smaller. I usually order a teriyaki plate to go, but today I decided to eat here and it was like a bowl with salad in the side; it wasn’t the huge double serving for now and later that it usually is, and it didn’t come with the usual vegetables: two cold thin slices of carrots and one little cold broccoli(I know it’s not a lot but it was a nice variety for the palate and have the plate more color) they no longer have cookies and muffins on display, just a few bags of chips, and they didn’t ask if I wanted white or dark meat or white or brown rice; they just gave me white rice, which is now a sticky rice not the same one they had, and a mix of mostly white meat with some dark. Anyway, the portions are still good and won’t leave you hungry, but I hope they lower the prices back to what they were.

I happened to be in the area with the Wife at the Library down the street it was past lunch time and this was the only thing in visual distance so that why we ended up here, plus most Indy burger joints serve Breakfast all day so I can score a Breakfast Burrito and add it to my never ending list… Seems to be a Family run business and I hate to slam my paisa’s BUT… the service #Hijole Cheeseburger w/O-Rings — Cheeseburger — Burger patty was the regular or smallish type, cooked nicely topped with cheese, lettuce, onions and mayo or sauce I don’t recall, it was OK/good nothing bad, nothing special to wow you either. O-Rings — Yeah nice BURNT rings! seemed like those cornmeal type frozen breaded rings, what was overcooked a bit dry #NoBueno! They offer several Breakfast Burritos, I got the House«Lucky» Burrito Lucky Breakfast Burrito — Eggs, Bacon, Hash BROWNS, Cheese, Avocado and Hot Sauce. Lucky Breakfast Burrito — Hash BROWNSWHAT??? that only Brownish you see at the bottom middle is the Hot Sauce, the little bit of Bacon it had was PINKish… #Fail French Fries — I was a bit surprised to see they hand cut their own fries, they do actually look pretty good in the photo, but the photo lies… but they were NOT crisp, they actually were limp and a bit soggy… #AnotherFail BEST thing here If you happen to be in the area, Speed Up don’t look keep going… Pancho Warned you!

Honestly I am open to anything when I pulled up it was a small joint kinda walk up to the window there The guy seemed kind of rude. He spoke to me in Spanish when I ordered and I said I only speak English. I don’t know if it bothered him but I felt like it did cause I didn’t understand him too well. I pulled out my debit card they charged a dollar for debit I’m not a cheap ass but I was like really? Never mind cancel my order. And he tossed my card back on the table. and walked away. Idk about u but that was really rude. Definitely not coming back here Obviously he has no costumer service skills what so ever.

I miss going back here when I was ten years old. Every Saturday afternoon, my grandpa would take us out to eat here to get the Chicken Sandwich and the Teriyaki Bowl. I loved this food joint that it brings my childhood memories. On the food note, Their Chicken Sandwich taste better than McChicken and the meat they prepare is fresh. They use their 1000 Island sauce to compliment the Chicken Sandwich and chiffonade the lettuce. The chicken teriyaki is made fresh as well and I would come back to get more. Chicken is grilled to perfection. I gave this as 4 stars and I would visit this place sooner or later. I gave one star down because drinks are not refillable.

I love this place! They have best fried zucchini and teriyaki burgers. Also, I like that the portions are generous for the price. I always have leftovers for later. It also helps that this place is local. They also have a large menu with a variety of food selections. This is your typical burger joint and I’m so happy it’s still here in San Gabriel.

Ordered the pastrami cheeseburger and fries. The food wasn’t awful but was far from great. The pastrami was rubbery like eating large rubber bands. I ended up pulling the pastrami out to eat it as a cheeseburger and the was decent. The fries were disappointing. Like another reviewer stated, the fries can be described as a cross between In ‘n Out’s style of fries and Fat Burger’s fatfries’ size and they sprinkle seasoning salt on it. They box the burger and fries in a large styrofoam container similar to that of Chinese takeout. I was expecting more fries than I got but I didn’t even finish them. My fries were soggy and not crispy at all. The sogginess may have been a result of me ordering as takeout but I live very close and don’t think it should’ve been soggy by the time I got home. Overall I would maybe eat here again for convenience reasons but definitely won’t order the pastrami or fries again if I did.

Got the double cheese burger combo. it’s a pretty solid burger. strong enough to go up aginst any spot. Fries are a cross between fatburger n In n out. Just wish they would switch to hienz ketchup, they got the cheap stuff in the bottle. If u like five guys burger n fries u will like this spot. Bring cash they charge $ 1 for credit card purchases under $ 10 Enjoy.

Teriyaki Avocado Cheese Burger! Avocados always seem to be great quality and they don’t go cheap on it. Onion rings can be really good too when fresh. I’ve had oily old ones(maybe the fryer oil was too old?) but more often than not really good onion rings. The burgers have a nice char tasted to them that tastes like it’s from a charcoal grill even though I don’t think it is. Not the cleanest place or the best atmosphere(next to rail road tracks) but a very solid burger. Not fast food cheap but still inexpensive, not sure what people are complaining about. Things are still in the $ 5 – 10 range and their portion sizes are generous. I haven’t really tried other items but they have a lot of other ones. Service is very fast and the people there have always been nice.

My meal was kinda pricey-cheeseburger, fried zucchini and medium ice tea with total $ 9 something. The cheeseburger was good and the fried zucchini had orangey seasoning on it even thought it taste good. Nice person behind the counter and cute little place.

Lucky Burgers is awesome. I’ve been to this joint a couple of times because my friend lives a block away and this is our go-to place for lunch. I’m a fan. A really honest, down-to-earth, burger place. But in order to enjoy this place, you have to order certain foods because some of their menu is not that pleasing. Their burgers are really sloppy, but in a good sort of way. You feel like a carnal beast when you’re eating their burger — or at least that’s how I feel. The only burger I’ve ever eaten there was their teriyaki-pineapple burger. You have to pay an extra $.50 for the teriyaki sauce and an extra $ 1 for a slice of pineapple, but it’s worth it. The sauce drips out their burger and when I eat it, I feel like one of those sexy supermodels in those Carl’s JR. Super Bowl commercials.(Even though I’m pretty sure that’s not what it looks like to others.) The amount of endorphins I get from eating their burger is just immeasurable. Their burger is moist, their burger is juicy. Definitely exceptional. Their french fries are a little weird. The actual fries taste just fine — just your regular crinkle-cut fry — but they portion it really weird. You can either order these fries in small or large. The small is sort of like this kid-portioned serving of fries. And then when you upgrade to a large — BOOM! — they give this shitload of fries in one of those styrofoam to-go boxes. Get a large every time you buy them. It’s only a dollar more than the small fries. Great for sharing. Tastes great dipped in their teriyaki sauce. The chicken teriyaki is pretty decent: chicken, rice, homemade teriyaki sauce, tortilla chips, a jolly pepper, an orange slice, a broccoli medley, and a side salad. At times, they get the sauce to rice ratio right. But sometimes, they just drench it with teriyaki to the point where it moistens the rice too much and makes it all mushy and stuff. I would just ask for the teriyaki sauce on the side. The chicken itself is really good. The only issue however with this dish is their side salad. They drench their side salad with thousand island dressing — which I personally cannot stand.(THOUSANDISLANDDRESSINGISTHEDRESSINGOFTHEDEVIL.) I wish they would ask us which dressing we would like for the salad or at least let us opt-out of getting the salad in the first place. The customer service here is OK. It’s not the best I’ve seen, but it’s not the worst I’ve seen. The cooks in the back are hilarious — always smiling and always look like they enjoy being there and I usually see them converse with regular customers when they’re out on break. However, my issues lie with the cashiers at the front taking my order. Once in a while, they come off a little bit attitude-ish. But it’s not to the point where you would hate the place or not wanna go there. But overall, very great place to eat. Try it!

Customer service is decent… professional. There’s always one mistake which ranges from small to «how did this happen». I keep going back for their quick service and diverse menu options. The value of your meal may very… but most of the time its great.

I really had high hopes for this place! I’m a fan of Jim’s Burger and Albertos/Alejandros/Aleros and this place looked like an undiscovered gem that I’ve lived next to but haven’t ever tried. I regret that I did. I ordered carne asada nachos and zucchini sticks. The nachos were horrible. The chips were a little too thick, the meat was bland and unseasoned, there was no guacamole, and the cheese was almost nonexistent. I rate that dish a 1.5 out of 5. Cost was 5.99. Get carne asada fries or nachos at albertos! The zucchini was meh. They were cut very thick and just ok. I like the zucchini sticks at Jim’s more. Granted I’m basing my entire review on two products and they do have a wealth of burgers and other plates, this is all I have to go on. I can’t say I’ll be back unless I find myself starving, drunk, and feeling forgiving, or a combination of two out of three. I would have given this place 2 stars, but the portion size was a lot smaller than comparable joints in the area. I thought I was on the verge of discovering a gloriously greasy undiscovered hole-in-the-wall but it ended up being a sad disappointment.
