I love this place. I always get something for breakfast once in a while. The front person is always nice and efficient with how crazy it gets some times. Food takes a while but understandable. I haven’t tried much besides my usual croissant cream cream, turkey, tomato breakfast sandwhich and coffee. Once I expand and if impressed with more items I’ll bump this up.

I visited for lunch on a Friday and the line was out the door – and now I understand why. I was in the mood for a good salad and it was the perfect choice. There are a handful of seats available in the back of the shop, and most were open, which was great because I wasn’t looking to take food to go like most of the other folks did. Service was friendly and quick and the prices are very reasonable. I’ll definitely be back to try one of the sandwiches.

The salads here are huge! They can fill me up until dinner time and can honestly be eaten by two people. I always get either the Cobb salad or southwest chicken – both are equally delicious.

Really sweet workers. Cute non-typical café. Outdoor seating available. Breakfast sandwich #1 is DIVINE. The others look pretty good as well. Great for on the go breakfast if you’re in your way to work.

Jeez Louise! This place has some organizational issues. People behind the counter are running everywhere. There’s about 5 – 6 workers it appears yet it takes forever to get your food during the lunch hour. I just came back from there, and I was late for lunch(1pm). It’s took 25 minutes to get a salad. As the first Monday after New Years OFCOURSE everyone is going to be getting salads. That’s like the hugest day of the year for people to start eating healthy. Reason I’m mentioning this is because they ran out of all their lettuces by 1pm(thankfully I was one of the last people) The girl at the cash register had to run over to the salad makers every single time someone ordered a salad to check on the lettuce status. And the guy who seems to be the manager had to ask and re-ask people if they could substitute spinach or kale. It was just a chaotic day. But I’ve heard from numerous people that they are slow in general. I’ve had their breakfast sandwich(#2) and it was good, but not the best. The english muffin wasn’t toasted enough. The Pesto chicken sandwich is beautiful and delicious. I’d suggest that. The bread is kind of(not because it’s stale but because it’s a crusty kind of bread) so if you don’t like chewy a lot you may want to substitute it. The cobb salad is pretty delicious — ask for dressing on the side if you don’t want it mixed it. It’s a tad pricey but all the portions are huge. I’ll probably because it’s so conveniently close but defintely going to try avoiding the lunch hour.

Stopped here a couple of times for croissants and coffee. The coffee they brew is really awful. I took the croissant to go, and turned out the croissant went bad and smelled really bad.

Delicious array of food selections ranging from salads & sandwiches to seafood options. Awesome customer service; fast & friendly. The space is small but packs a mighty pinch when it comes to food. My quinoa bowl was extremely filling & flavorful. The portion was so large it lasted two meals. WG is located in San Fran’s financial district so it’s perfect for a quick & healthy lunch run and only a hop, skip and a jump from the office. The inside can get a bit cramped during busy hours and the few tables outside are snagged quickly. Arrive early if you plan to dine-in. Enjoy the freshness. ~Christy said so

I love this place. Salads are huge and really fresh and everyone is so nice. I’ve once had a sandwich, too and it was great.

Not a bad spot for a lunch sandwich. The lines get long during peak lunch hours(as mostly everything around here does), but going for a late lunch around 1 is usually quick. I haven’t tried a salad or any of the donuts and pastries they have out front, but the barbeque chicken sandwich is legit and pretty heavy with a lot of chicken. Come check it out!

I’ve tried the Working Girls’ Café on Kearny. It was a lackluster experience. My sandwich took forever(I think because they forgot my order) and the sandwich itself didn’t have much flavor. This location redeemed that experience! Thanks to our catered office lunch on Friday, November 6th, I was able to give them another shot! *Cobb salad: mixed lettuce, turkey, bacon, avocado, gorgonzola cheese, cucumber, tomato, onions, balsamic vinaigrette($ 10.95) This is a pretty hefty salad. And in hefty, I mean weight. I was surprised at the size. But I guess that’s why it was $ 11. Full of delicious fresh ingredients. And there was a good lettuce to topping ratio. I didn’t try the vinaigrette as my stomach just wanted plain food, but the cheese actually provided a nice creaminess. I didn’t really need a dressing. Glad I could give Working Girls’ Café another try. I think next time, I’l go for one of their melty sandwiches. They looked delicious!

If you are new to the SOMADISTRICT and looking for a good place to grab some lunch this is the place. It’s a tiny place to get sandwiches, salads and pastries. My fav is the filet of salmon sandwich. It’s oooooooh so good and not that pricy about $ 9. Not bad compared to Rowe and Harvest which is like $ 15 for a salad –_– This place gets pretty packed so make sure to order online or enjoy the beautiful buildings of Sf.

Salads here are solid gold stars! Great ingredients and giant portions(enough to have leftovers)! I believe the dressing is mixed in so if you prefer it on the side, you should ask. Chipotle Chicken Breast Salad — 5⁄5 It’s like eating a crunchy taco but in salad form. A lot of different ingredients in here so the flavor is explosive from the spicy kick of the chicken to the sweet taste of corn and black beans. Lemon Garlic Kale & Quinoa Salad — 4⁄5 I like the dressing but I probably should have added chicken or tuna to it since there’s only so much kale I can eat. Very fresh ingredients though.

This place achieved the impossible: they have made me crave salads. The portions are also so large that if I had any self-control, these salads would reasonably cover two meals. You are entering leftover territory here. My favorites are the Chipotle Chicken and Greek salads. Another benchmark achievement from Working Girls, is that the guy at the register might be the first person in customer service history who seems genuinely interested in how your weekend was. I don’t know how his spirit has the capacity to care for all the weary, lunchtime FiDi/SoMa souls that drift in and out of this place, but it makes me feel like less of a horrible person just to bask in the glow of this man’s humanity for the less than five-minute wait it takes to receive my order. 5 stars to Working Girls from this working girl.

The first time I passed by Working Girls’ Café, I was surprised to find boys working behind the counter. While the name is a misnomer, I’m glad they don’t discriminate. The café is small in size, with a few outdoor seats. It’s largely grab&go, which makes sense given its FiDi location. My mom and I met up for lunch and each ordered a $ 9.95 specialty sandwich. I had read about their kale salad but didn’t see it on their menu. But, having watched a bunch of people around me eating or walking away with a kale salad, it definitely seems to exist. Salads aside, my mom ordered the BLACKENEDREDSNAPPER with chili lime salsa, avocado, spring greens, and mayo on a toasted soft roll. I ordered the FILETOFSALMON with lemon caper sauce, lettuce, tomato, mayo, and red onions on toasted focaccia. Both were solid sandwiches prepared quickly, but I would recommend the snapper over the salmon as its chili lime salsa adds a kick that pairs well with the creaminess of the avocado. Bottom line? Mom is always right… except when it comes to parking in tow-away zones.

I came in for something to eat right after a workout session at Marathon Plaza 24 Hour Fitness. Sandwiches and salads were the first items coming to mind for lunch. The staff members here are fast and friendly. After looking through the menu, I ordered: — Pastrami Sandwich on French Baguette — Bag of Potato Chips — Bottle of Coca-Cola Here are some reasons for the rating: — Friendly staff team — Good food and service — Location is very easy to find — Clean facility Overall, the Pastrami Sandwich I had was very delicious and I enjoyed it. I am craving for another sandwich while writing this review. The salad is one item I will definitely try the next time I come here for lunch. This is certainly one of the best spots for breakfast and lunch, if you are passing by or working in an office nearby; Working Girls’ Café is here for you. There are six seats right in front if you are eating here.

This is my go-to place for when I’m looking to try something new for a work breakfast/lunch/dinner! Recently getting a job in the area, I was overwhelmed with all of the new places for me to try. Just within the few blocks of New Montgomery, there are a lot of places to choose from. When doing a Unilocal search for places near work, this popped up, so I decided to check them out. The first thing I tried was their famous Bagel sandwiches. Specifically, I had the #2. From what I remember, I had turkey, scrambled eggs mixed with cheese & herbs, and tomato on a plain bagel. These are heated up in their oven, so the cheese comes out melted perfectly, you know that scene in commercials, when the cheese is super stretching when cut, ya, that one. I liked this aaaaaaaaaaloooooooooooot. I want to try it again when I can. I liked the bagel so much, that I came back later that day for lunch to try a deli sandwich. I had the California Melt. THISWASAMAZING! Turkey, Bacon, Cheese, and the works. Again, the cheese was stringing when I separated the sandwich. You just need to go try it! Subsequent lunches within the weeks, I’ve tried the Chicken Curry and BBQ Beef Sandwiches. Both still good, but nothing beats the first two menu Items that I’ve tried. I definitely want to try more of the menu as time goes on. The menu can be a little pricey with the specialty sandwiches, but they’re worth it!

What a great sandwich, salad, coffee, and whatever you want it place. I got there just before the line was out the door and wrapping around on the sidewalk. It’s very small, just a counter order station with a drink fountain and only two tiny tables out front, but hey it’s San Fran and you can find a good spot outside to eat somewhere else. I had the prosciutto sandwich which was basically a caprese on bread. So good. Bread to meat to veggie ratio was spot on. I ate half with the bread then half as a salad. I also got a Caesar salad which I barely ate because that sandwich was so good! The salad was too. Light, tangy, and not creamy dressing with fresh parm. Everything was fresh and wonderful. I found a park to enjoy it in so no tables were needed.

Looking for a yummy, filling and cheap breakfast? Get the Working Girls’ Café bagel with smoked salmon and ask them to go easy on the cream cheese. You’ll end up with a not-too-heavy sandwich layered with just enough creaminess to keep the capers, thinly sliced red onions and tomatoes from falling out in between each perfect bite. They have a wide assortment of breakfast bagels but also sandwiches and lunches even available in the morning. Basically, it’s the perfect breakfast/lunch on the go. Fast service. Reasonable price. Decent place for sitting down by yourself or with a group.

Quick and friendly lunch! Although Working Girls’ is known for their sandwiches, I mostly come here for the giant brick of vegetables known as the Kale and Quinoa salad. This massive garden of lunch is tasty, filling, and makes you feel really healthy about yourself. The kale is not the super fibrous variety and doesn’t leave your mouth with that weird bitter, gritty feeling. And this thing is like lunch AND dinner for me. I haven’t had a sandwich here in a while, but the one I had was the meatloaf sandwich, which was a bit under seasoned and underwhelming. Their non-meatloaf sandwiches are pretty good, though. They also serve breakfast sandwiches in the morning. I walk past their donut display every morning and sometimes catch myself buying and eating one without regret.

Conveniently located right next to my workplace, Working Girls’ is a lunch staple for me whenever I get the urge to relinquish my sinful eating habits(aka eating burritos) and decide to eat something healthy. My current favorite, which also happens to be the only thing I order at this place these days is their Kale and Quinoa salad. That Kale salad is the bomb! That means a lot coming from a person who absolutely despises eating raw leaves. The really cool thing about the Kale salad is that the Kale is crunchy and does not taste bitter. A generous sprinkling of quinoa adds to the crunchy flavor and the dressing is crisp and vinegary(but not too vinegary). The salad is huge in size too. I’ve never been able to complete the whole thing in a single sitting. But that maybe just because my jawbones get tired chewing Kale. Apart from the Kale salad, they have a bunch of other salad options, a wide variety of sandwiches — I’ve gotten the eggplant parmesan and the pesto ones before and both were pretty good, bagels, cookies, donuts and the standard café fare. The prices hover around $ 10 for sandwiches and salads, which seems to be an SF standard. Though the lines may appear to be long, they are fairly fast(I’ve never waited more than 15 minutes) and go about their business with professional efficiency. And yes, working and non-working girls and boys are allowed here(though if you weren’t working, you might not be able to pay for your salad)
