When pretty much all of San Bruno Ave was closed at 10pm on a Sunday night(I checked) this store was still serving up good sandwiches. Yes, the store is ghetto in that some of the people waiting for the #44 Muni look rough and a few dudes who appear intoxicated are hanging around the gas station. The sandwiches are sold cold after 4pm, and the ingredients are not any different from a Subway for example. The dude making the sandwich did not wear gloves or a hair net. But, getting a well made 6 inch sandwich with your choice of mustard/mayo, fresh deli meats, crunchy lettuce, ripe tomato, pickled jalapeños for $ 4.50(cheese for just $ 0.50 more) on your choice of white, wheat or Dutch Crunch bread?!! Did I mention that the other stores were already dark and completely shut down? And the sandwich maker was polite, patient and had just finished washing up a pan and his hands with soap before assembling my sandwich. The cashier was just as patient and kind. That goes a long way with me considering I am buying a sandwich from a convenience store under these conditions and at this hour. I paid with exact change so that I did not have to draw undue attention to what I might have in my bill fold, and I was dressed down to blend. Not exactly the place to be digging through a bunch of credit cards and passing a Ben Franklin(not that I had one, sad to say) for a sandwich. Thank you, for providing this service to our neighborhood! I look forward to returning before 4pm to have a hot toasted sandwich! CORRECTION: I felt compelled to measure the sandwich after getting some feedback about its actual size. Turns out, it is more of a 6 incher, not 10 inch as I so optimistically thought before. Sorry if that ruined anyone’s day. It still remains a lot to shove into your mouth. :D

I grew up in the Portola District. My family has been here since the 70’s, and this store literally is like family. It’s a little corner store that sells your basic snacks, drinks, liquor, alcohol, wine or beer. The employees are all within one big family, but usually the in laws run the store when the family isn’t there. Sweetest people you’d ever meet. SUPERHELPFUL! I personally eat a sandwich from here about once a week(for $ 4.50 is a great deal), and my family still comes here all the time. You will not be disappointed. I gave this place 5 stars because of the great customer service and convenience. Even though it is kind of in a weird place between the rougher parts of SF. Still great though!

Its a liquor store that sales sandwiches… nothing tooo fancy regular good old school sandwiches. I usually get the crab salad sandwich its imitation crab. The way they make it is really good. The price is cheap. The roast beef is good also. I live in the area id rather go here then subway. Its not the best I been coming here for years. They are friendly. Clean sandwich station and affordable.

What can I say, I come here for the sandwiches! I love them. Real good sandwiches, for a real good price! I think it may be $ 4.76-$ 5 for a nice delicious sandwich. It doesn’t matter what time you come to get a sandwich, its always great and fast! Anything you want, dutch crunch, smoked turkey, ham, etc… Store is in order, and the guys working there are always great with customers. If you live in the neighborhood don’t miss out on this surprisingly delightful sandwich experience. Remember: affordable, delicious, fast, and convenient. Check it out~ You won’t regret it.

I remember coming here for a sandwich back in high school(about 6 years ago) and I LOVED it. Back then, they were $ 4.50 for the sandwich I picked(crab), and today it’s only gone up to 5.00 for the same sandwich. Pretty f**ing amazing, considering Subway’s has gone up a few dollars. I’ve definitely shunned Subway’s in favor of other sandwich shops, and this is my favorite in my neighborhood. It’s right next to a gas station and that corner in general is a little ghetto, just a small warning ahead of time. But the store itself is PACKED with different snacks and drinks. The sandwiches are really great. Filled to the brim with the toppings you want. I’ve always got the crab meat sandwich so I can’t comment on the other meats. But the crab meat is great. I’m pretty sure it’s imitation but that doesn’t change the fact that it tastes awesome. Only downside is that it’s a cold sandwich; doesn’t really bother me much. For about $ 5 a sandwich, this place is hard to beat. If you’re in the neighborhood and you want a decent sandwich, swing by here :) Years later, it’s still an amazing place.

no nonsense. friendly dudes, simple sandwiches(available toasted before 4pm), wide variety of booze, beer, smoke and snack offerings. if I had my wish, I’d turn them onto some more local goods in place of the same calcium robbing, diabetes inducing, Coca Kraftbisco Nestloggs lineup as every other corner store, but that’s a pipe dream. I’ll take what I can get. keep up the good work, fellas. I’ll be by tomorrow.

3.5 Stars Reasonable sandwiches for around $ 4-$ 5. Don’t expect any high end type sandwiches here, just a regular sandwich that will hit the spot.

I moved into the neighborhood about 4 months ago, I decided to give this place a try for sandwiches as I noticed the price was $ 4 a sandwich while buying a bag of chips. I went back to give the sandwich a try yesterday and it was pretty solid. I ordered a smoked turkey with all the fixings on a soft roll plus cheddar cheese. The man who prepared the sandwich was a nice patient guy who made it in less than 1 minute. Today I went back to order two sandwiches, the same smoked turkey and a salami with cheddar. The same guy prepared the sandwiches but he seemed a little irratated by some of the other patrons in line. The meats, cheese, and fixings are fresh and they have a decent selection for being a liquor store. The size is just right for the price, about 6 inches. You can’t beat a sandwich, bag of chips and a drink for 6 – 7 $. A real good cheap lunch while in SF.

The guys running this store are very nice and friendly. Good service and nice spot to visit when in need of something to munch and sip on. This area can be sketchy at certain times so when you are nearby: — Enhance safety measures — Refrain from displaying large sums of money EDITFROM12/19/2014: The ham sandwich on soft roll with cheese, lettuce and mustard is delicious. I am craving for another sandwich as I write this edit. I will come in to try other available flavors. Overall, friendly staff and good service!

I’ve been to this place countless times when I was younger and this place has been awesome. I practically grew up on the sandwiches this place made and I would always get a sandwich, bag of chips, and Arizona when I would want to go out and eat for lunch. Lately, they’ve raised their prices and it shouldn’t be a problem if their sandwiches are that great but honestly I’ve grown to have better sandwiches. I wouldn’t mind eating the sandwiches here every once in awhile, but I preferred not to get the sandwiches as often. These days I’d just head to this place for a couple bags of chips or a can of Arizona.

I’ve been coming here as long as I can remember — it’s not your typical corner store. They’re actually more of a deli/convenience store — they make sandwiches and piroskis, not just prepackaged items. Don’t be scared by the location — it’s a bit sketchy at night but during the day it’s actually pretty busy and full of customers. There’s a 10-minute parking space out front but it’s usually taken, but you can also pull over at the Silver gas station next to the coin-operated air machine.

I can’t believe this store has so little reviews! I have been coming here since the 6th grade and now I’m in college! I love this place, just around the corner from my house. I come in my PJs. I love that guy Louie, who makes my sandwiches, always knows what I want even before I order since I come here and get the same thing all the time ! Their prices have raised, but not surprised since everything is going up, I don’t blame them! I will always come here even though I don’t go to school in the city! They have good sandwiches, remember to ask for the SAUCE. I think it’s pesto and olive oil not sure, but it’s gooood! I always get Dutch with mayo. Roast beef and Swiss cheese. Lettuce pickles, tomatoes, and EXTRA jalapenos because Louie know what’s uppp! Always calls me sweetheart and waves to me when I walk pass their store! I love this place. I agree it is super ghetto, but I’m used to it haha. LOVETHISPLACE !
