A great spot to grab a sandwich while waiting for a connecting train or bus. I got the veggie burger with avocado, which tasted(surprisingly) like a McDonald’s hamburger. A nice surprise, and a good place for vegetarians to keep in mind if they miss fast food. The onion rings were fine, but nothing to write home about. It’s all about the sandwiches and burgers here. Definitely somewhere I’ll eat again. The only caveat: once they’ve begun preparing the food, your order can’t be canceled, even if you have to catch a train!

Love this place! Everything is so good. Plus great friendly service. My fav is teriyaki chicken over rice. Yummy yummy in my tummy!

Really unassuming place with limited hours. Finally stopped in one afternoon and got the chicken spring rolls – Portions: received three fat rolls and a gigantic thing of peanut sauce. – Rice flour wrapper was fresh, texture was on point – minus 1 star because of the amount of connective tissue in the chicken. Wish I could only deduct half a star because it’s largely personal opinion(some people like connective tissue in meat), but I don’t, and there were chunks of tendon/fat/ligament in the chicken. Not a huge deal because the roll had a ton of other content(lettuce, vermicelli, non-connective-tissue meat) but in hindsight probably should’ve ordered the shrimp rolls.

Always a fan of a local sammich shop in the area. While you have La Cornetta, the cheese shop making sandwiches, and few other local spots with sandwich options, this is purely sandwiches, closes at 7, and is cramped. So you know you’re going to get a good sammich. Though not purely sammiches! They do have a variety of rice plates which sound yummy, but I went for the sammich. Had a tough time deciding between a classic sub, a hot sammich, or even a burger. Doesn’t help that the ice cream counter is also tempting. Ultimately I got a steak sammich with cheese. The steak sammich was really good. Not a Philly, and not Teriyaki, just a solid cheese steak — especially with the walk home to let the meat, cheese, and onion juices get sopped up. It was tasty and I enjoyed it. With it being literally across the street from the BART or the quick walk, I definitely see coming here often when working from home or getting home early and not having dinner plans. Definitely check out the Vietnamese sammich options — I didn’t even notice them on the menu, and everyone raves about them. They will probably be my next try. Also need to get some ice cream next time.

Split 3 different sandwiches with the family and while each was decent in its own sense, my favorite of the trio we ordered was Chicken Teriyaki. It was a bit messy, given the sauce, but it incited memories of the delectable Menage a Trois at Ike’s. Yum! The other sandwiches we ordered were the Pork Sausage(meh, just okay) and the Steak(sort of like a Philly). Ordered all our sandwiches with a side of onion rings and fries — both were freshly fried and delicious. Crispy exterior, fluffy interior for the fries and crispy shell without a stringy onion for the rings. Can’t believe I’ve passed Viking’s all these years and never bothered to walk in. It’s hardly the best sandwich I’ve had, but it’s definitely pretty good.

Viking sandwiches has many types of sandwiches available but I mainly wanted to try their Vietnamese sandwiches and how they were. Ended up getting the tofu sandwich, which was very different from a typical Vietnamese tofu sandwich. A typical Vietnamese tofu sandwich has fried tofu and taro crispy strips as their«tofu» but Vikings provides a twist and throws in stir fried tofu as their tofu. Although different from typical tofu sandwiches, the flavor and seasoning of the tofu was pleasant. Bread was also toasted very well and was very good! However, I do admit that the daikon/carrots were soaked in too much vinegar which slightly overwhelmed the sandwich. Would consider coming back to try the grilled chicken or pork next time to see how it is! :)

I saw a good deal on Unilocal from the menu and prices and that was the reason I went there today. the people are very nice, its a family owned business, and i definitely support them. but I was just a little disappointed that it was misadvertised on pricing(which is not the businesses fault). They definitely went up but the food was decent. It’s a great place to grab a bite to eat!

Best Vietnamese Sandwich in San Francisco so far. Other orders are great too. Owners are nice, friendly, the store is small but cozy. Cant wait to eat the chicken wings there again and again.

Most of the sandwiches are good, like the philly cheese steak, however most of the food is overpriced. Some things that are convenient, is that it isn’t that crowded with the seating arrangement, and the fact that your food arrives faster than expected. I would recommend this place for good food, if you have the money for it.

Lived in Glen Park for 6 months and finally tried this place out. They got burgers, subs, fries, and ice cream. They have 3 tables inside, maybe seating 10 people in total, with no public restroom, and a $ 5 minimum when ordering with a cc. All the prices in the restaurant are now 50 cents higher than what you see here on Unilocal.I’d suggest ordering any of the hot subs and fries.

This place is like a tiny shack! They have maybe 3 – 4 tables and a handful of chairs, but it’s best to pick up. Plus, so many high school kids are just«chillin» inside. Feels a bit grunge. Chicken banh mi was good, but I like it to be under $ 4. A sandwich is around $ 5.50, which is more than Saigon and Ba Le. Nonetheless, friendly family business in Glen Park.
