Store is sadly closed and won’t be opening again. You can still go to their location in Hayes Valley.

Be warned, i have bought clothes here in the past, but i am very disappointed in their managment and responsibility towards the products they sell. i bought a pair of earring several months ago and put them away to give as a gift for the holidays. when my daughter took them out of the box, the end of the earring just snapped off. i brought the earrings back to the store, in the box with their uko bag and wrappings(so they could see they were from uko), b/c i no longer had the receipt. the woman was very rude and insisted that i return it to the union street store since that was where i bought them. she wouldn’t tell me if once i went all the way back to the city from marin, if they would even exchange them or give me a credit b/c i no longer had the receipt. she said this is not macy’s. i said i knew that and that i tried to support small local stores, but she wouldn’t help me out at all. from now on, i will never shop there again, and i implore anyone who buys something to keep in mind that they do not stand behind their products. her words were, we are a small store and can’t help you with problems.

I humbly apologize for this late re-review. It seems my sentence saying that«UKO is great especially for someone small in stature» has been taken that they only carry small sizes. I just meant that as a very small person I am thrilled that they carry small sizes. It’s hard for me to find clothes that I don’t have to completely alter. UKO carries all sizes, and if you like cool, chic and not run of the mill style, check them out! They’re super nice also. Sorry UKO for not reading my messages sooner. :( I’ll see you soon! ;))

What a lousy store! I wanted to get a gift and asked if I could get as gift. The attendant said no and through an attitude. I called the owner david and he hung up. Bet this store doesn’t survive the recession

Uko is my favorite! The clothes are fabulous! Super high quality fabrics and fit me like a glove. I have purchased many power dresses for work here. Accessories give me an edge. I had a recent experience with the owner that was incredible customer service. The other gals who work there are also stellar. Highly recommended.

I bought a couple of cute scarves here last year. Nice staff and good boutique selection.

I love this store! I lived in Europe for many years and got used to buying stylish, unique clothes at reasonable prices, which is hard to find in San Francisco since classy clothes are usually pretty expensive here, and you don’t necessarily get what you pay for(that is, you pay a lot for the brand name). Uko finds gems that others seem to have missed. I buy my shirts there as often as possible. I love the way they fit, as if tailored just for my body. Two thumbs way up!

I just came in to buy a gift for a friend and found more than a few new items to add to my wardrobe. They have a decent collection of unique pieces that are more affordable than most boutiques in the city. It seemed like the clientele were regular customers that frequent the store. The store must be great to have so many repeat customers! I think I just found my favorite new store!

Love the styles, colors and helpful sales people. Have been several times and in addition to clothing have bought excellent handbags and really fun watches. Now to lose 15 lbs and really go wild with the clothes.

Finally, a store that carry hip, unique merchandise at reasonable prices. I love the design that they carry. ruched tank tops that made your boobies look a little fuller. I’m always down for that. :) and skirts that entice your femininity. I made two new discoveries while in this store, one is that there is such a thing as a comfortable pair of shoes. *gasp* They sell indigo shoes, and goddamn, maybe i’ve been wearing too many stilettos or wooden wedges that are not made for walking. But, when i slipped on those indigo sandals, my feet thanked me. It was like one of those moment, when the clouds parted. Ok, maybe not as dramatic, but you get the idea. The other one is the cop copine pants that are just simply chic. They are kinda baggy, but trust me, with the right stuff, those pants will be a staple in your wardrobe. One star off coz the sales lady was not very approachable or friendly. Her demeanor was just a little cold to be working in sales. But overall, she was helpful.

Just bought a bunch of stuff here over the weekend. «Cop Copine» dresses, skirts and shirts. «Mais Il Est Ou Le Soleil?» dresses were so adorable. You can’t find structured pieces like this anywhere. Beautiful minimalist jewelery that goes well with the outfits. Wonderful!

This is my favorite boutique clothing store in San Francisco! Everything they have is unique and very hip! One of my favorite brands is Cop Copine and they carry it here as well. Aside from women’s clothing, they have a small selection for men though my hubby was not too impressed with the guy’s selection. However, if you don’t want to look like every other woman on the street, this place is definitely for you, and the prices are quite reasonable as well.
