Excellent optical shop, and is the best in town. The owners are very experienced in this field. Their customer service is SUPERB. Highly recommended.

You won’t find better service or quality anywhere else! Seriously, it’s worth the trip to Chinatown for this. I always used to get my glasses at Costco because it was cheap and fast but now that I’ve come here, this has become my new go-​to place for glasses. The quality and care that go into the glasses themselves is unmatched and the service you get is truly one of the finest around. Nowadays, it’s all about the quick sell and «Here’s your glasses, okay, goodbye!» but with TLC, they make sure that you’re feeling comfortable in your glasses, always making adjustments until it feels perfect. I usually wear contacts so I only wear glasses at night when my eyes are feeling tired. But with my new pair, they’ve become so comfortable for me that I’ve started to wear glasses on a regular basis (and I never used to do that). Plus, they look good so I def. feel more comfortable wearing them out haha
Their lens quality is good and you actually get the quality lens that you are promised. Other stores will just tell you but most people wouldn’t know the difference. The personalized service you get here just can’t be given to you when you go to a big shop like LensCrafters or Costco. Come here, I guarantee you won’t regret it.

TLC Optical is amazing! They are extremely professional and friendly. It was easy to set up appointments. They told me my glasses would be ready in one week and i was happy when they were done on time. The staff made sure that the glasses fit perfectly and I was completely satisfied with my experience. I will definitely be using them in future and referring them to friends.

TLC is the best! Whether you want designer frames or bargain frames, they have a complete selection at all prices. The owners are knowledgeable, caring, and patient. They understand that it can take a while to make up your mind. Hank even referred me to an ophthalmologist who still does refractions! TLC stands behind its products and cheerfully does repairs for as long as you want to wear the same glasses. And if you have to apply for reimbursement from your insurance company, the personalized attention you get at TLC is well worth the effort.

My parents used to have my prescription filled at TLC. The staff has always been very friendly and helpful. Because they are located in Chinatown, their frame selection consists mostly of wire frames. However, if you have a particular style in mind they are always willing to order it for you. As far as their lens quality goes, they are always looking for a new, thinner, lighter, better quality lens. They order straight from Japan.
The only downsides:
— No parking. You can always try the parking lots but even then you have to deal with all the people.
— They don’t accept my insurance. I have pretty decent vision coverage on my plan. Which is why I decide to find a place that does accept my insurance. If you have crappy insurance and is looking for a place with great service, product, people, and don’t mind the trip to Chinatown– Give this place a try.
