This place has closed! It’s kind of sad, because I was addicted to their freshly squeezed juices. They were super yummy. I am craving one right now. =(

I am so surprised how this place is so underrated. Come on people don’t you get tired of the mainstream Starbucks? This place is different amongst the rest of the them. First, it is not a chain store. Second, they have the best veggie sandwich –the kind that makes a meat lover doubt why they have always ordered pastrami. And lastly, they get me in and out, super friendly and low-key. I haven’t tried their espresso drinks but I will sure give them a try. Did I mention that they have a super convenient location?

The chai was pretty good, but they completely forgot my food order, tried to recover and have me the wrong one. Took about 25 minutes during a lull with other people getting their orders before me, despite coming in well after.

I went in for lunch today. Usually I just go in for morning coffee, so no problems. Ordering a sandwich today turns into a hassle. The first two sandwiches I order, they’re out of an ingredient. Apparently, they were caught off guard by the GDC and didn’t buy enough supplies. This is day 3 of the convention, please tell me your groceries are purchased more frequently than that. So I order a grilled cheese. should be simple. Now, there was only one person in line ahead of me, so I wasn’t expecting much of a wait. Ha ha. They bring out one couples order, then the order for the person ahead of me. A while later they bring another couple their order. The first two parties finish and leave. Still no grilled cheese. I go to the counter and ask one of the two guys walking around doing nothing where my order is.(Even though there’s room, I’m assuming only one person is allowed at each station?) He tells me it’s on the grill, which it was. As it turns out, they also then put it in a pannini press after putting a bunch of stuff in there I really didn’t expect. 27 minutes after ordering I finally walk out with my sandwich. I get back to work, wolf down the sandwich, and endure a small battle with my unhappy stomach. One star because whatever was in the sandwich was tasty.

This is some of the worst coffee I have ever paid for. The service was moderately slow.

It’s a pretty sweet spot! Let me tell you why I think so… 1) While there’s two Starbucks right across the street(yes, 2 and they’re both right across from each other, on the corner!) they both get crowded around 5 or 6pm so I come here for my quick sugary fix(ice white mocha please!) right before class because there’s hardly ever a line and I can get in and out of there in less than 8 minutes to make it to class on time. 2) I’ve arrived around 5 a few times and even though the main room is tiny there’s usually a place to sit to study for a bit before class. There is also a larger adjoining room with many more seating but sometimes they close it or it’s being used for the school’s culinary program. 3) the location for a student taking evening courses at the city college is perfect –right downstairs, outside next door on the corner. You don’t even have to cross the street! 4) their prices are also decent I think. Not very outrageous and it’s organic! Have you seen the prices for organic anything out there?

I had today morning the California Bagel which tasted absolutely delicious! And also a fresh prepared juice named«Immunity»; yumm and healthy! The service-manners could be more friendly, but ok, the taste of the food excuses that one! ;-)

Nice place with an attractive name and that is what drew me in. I give this place 5 stars for serving organic free trade coffee and the philosophy of the place however the coffee is not great. So either they are not blending it well or they are not making the coffee at the shop well. Either way I was expecting great coffee and I walked away with ok coffee :-) As a business and their philosophy I support it and have always believed in buying organic, locally grown and fair trade products however none of this can make up for quality and flavour. It needs to be the whole experience.

I quite enjoy the breakfast bagel. Simple, yet tasty. Too bad it’s a bit overpriced, and the service is slow.

We didn’t try their coffee here, but rather we bought a bagel(egg, ham, and cheese), and a chocolate croissant for to-go. Was it spectacular? Not really. But if you are really hungry and in a rush, and happened to around here, sure come on in and grab something quick. The good thing about this place is it opens early!

This place is across the street from two different Starbucks. Just seeing two Starbucks on two different corners made me angry enough to feel the need to help this mom and pop operation out. Glad I did! I ordered a house brew coffee and a California bagel(cream cheese, tomato, lemon, salt and pepper). It was great! I liked the tanginess of the lemon with the tomato and the bagel was a good size. Plus both items together were under $ 5! They had a nice variety of sandwiches as well as pastries and the place was very clean. If I lived in the are I’d hit this place up over Starbucks any time!

This place is weird. It’s kind of dingy and dirty inside, and it’s decorated with weird mission statement photos about schools in Africa and stuff. I guess that goes with the territory, but I almost feel like I’m getting a «personality test» just for walking in, you know? Service is… odd. Not bad or good, but odd. Lady took my sandwich order, but then the guy making my sandwich just verbally asked me all the same questions. Then he added avocado without asking or charging me for it(I like avocado, but what if I didn’t?). A guy came in after me and someone jumped up from a table and went behind the counter to help him; I thought he was a customer. I haven’t had the coffee, so I can’t comment on that. However I can say with La Boulange(surprisingly good) and Blue Bottle around, this place has a lot of competition. What I did get was a turkey sandwich. I work within about 100 steps and I was craving a deli-style sandwich. This block really doesn’t have that, so I thought I’d give this place a try. The sandwich was the exact thing I was craving, but it wasn’t an amazing example. Croissant was huge, but kind of dry and bland. Turkey was that filler-injected, round, homogenized turkey breast, but the GOOD kind of that, if there is such a thing. With grain in the meat that still tastes like turkey. Iceberg lettuce, flavorful tomato, dijon mustard, swiss cheese… I could make something similar at home and be happier with it, but this wasn’t bad by any means. I guess what I’m saying is that they make pretty decent sandwiches. Not gonna blow your hair back or anything, but it’s solid. And it was $ 7.50.

The iced soy chai latte was very good here. It had the perfect mix of spices and sweetness. This coffee shop is a little smaller, and has less traffic than the mega crowded Starbucks also near the Moscone Center, so it’s a good choice for those that want to avoid the crowds and sip on some good coffee and tea drinks.

I’m shocked it took me so long to find this place considering it’s around the corner from my office. The fresh squeezed juice is truly fresh squeezed and delicious. The sandwich I got was tasty and I want to come back and try the breakfast burrito. The only downside is I went in here hoping to grab a quick lunch and it took forever for them to make our sandwiches.

Did you know they have sausage, egg and cheese empanadas? Well, why didn’t you tell me? I didn’t even know such wonderful creations existed. They definitely hit the spot after a night of drinking until your friends seem fun and interesting. Although you ARE getting fat, and the yogurt/fruit/granola cups are undoubtedly a better choice. And by you, I mean me.

I like plain black coffee. I do not like waiting in line for 30mins at Starbucks with people wearing a convention name tag. $ 2 for 20 oz = score No wait = score

I have tried a few times, and each time I am disappointed. They screw up my order every time. Once its the drink, once its the food. I am sorry but how hard is to it get it right? Very it seems. They make me late, and there are three of them just slacking away. It is frustrating to see when you choose the little guys. Makes me just want to go anywhere else.

Ohhhh my my my this place has a NAUGHTY little sandwich… Their Grilled Veggie sandwich with brie served on a foccacia loaf was unbelievable. Honestly, I was not expecting anything spectacular from this place, but this has got to be one of the best veg sandwiches I’ve ever had. The sandwich was jam packed with tasty juicy grilled bell pepper, eggplant, tomatoes, with an excellent pesto spread and several chunks of brie, melted to perfection on the panini griddle. The foccacia is FAR from dry — it is super moist and toasty and slightly buttered up. This is definitely a must-try for veggie-sandwich-lovers!

Organic Coffee Co is going to become a fixture on my lunch circuit. Its name always makes me think of breakfast and muffins, but it turns out that they have a very solid lineup of fresh sandwiches and other lunchtime items. I tried a Chicken Salad on Wheat earlier this week — solidly the best I’ve had in the area and probably tied with the Boxed Chicken Salad Sandwich I always enjoy at B or Boxed Foods. Anyhow, come by and give these guys a whirl for lunch. Not fast, but sometimes slower is good.
