This is a great spot on Polk street. Good selection of beers(about $ 6 each) and huge windows open on a nice day. This is a perfect game day spot. Literally anywhere in the bar where you sit there is a TV in view. Friendly service, $ 20 min on credit cards, casual vibe. Oh, and you can bring in your own food Cheers greens

One of the best sports bars in SF. Can get a little bro-y depending on what teams are playing. Lots of tvs, good staff, and delicious pizza just down the block that you can bring with.

Went there quite early on a weekday afternoon, so not many people in the bar. I was with a friend from NYC, but the bartender wouldn’t accept his NYC id, supposedly because«he had been to NYC and had never seen that before». Whatever, a different ID got him his beer but that sounded quite rude. All in all we did not feel particularly welcome so we drank it and made our way to another bar on Polk st.

Tiny place. First sports bar I’ve ever gone to and been told they’re «at capacity». And I traveled across town, based on the reviews I read. Waste of time!

Great bartenders, great drinks and great place to watch some football. This bar is the best place in SF to watch the Carolina Panthers hands down. You are guaranteed to meet some fun people from Carolina which is always good in my book!

This bar has been my NFL game day home for 4 years now. I am proud to say it has become the best Carolina Panthers Bar in San Francisco! We always have a big group of regulars and the atmosphere couldn’t be better. Plenty of TVs with all the rest of the games on as well. Aside from being the best Panthers bar, they have consistent staff who are friendly and treat the customers so well. Everyone in the bar knows Shannon who has been serving us the whole time. I couldn’t substitute another bar for Green’s as this is now my Sunday home!

Not bad good sports bar, minimum tab for credit card is what makes this place skippable. Super inconvenient

Best place for football. No matter where you sit you will be in front of a game. Lots of Nfl fans so you will find someone to connect with. $ 15 buckets of beer and you can bring food in. Go eagles. And if your lucky enough to get Nicole waiting on you then you are in for the best service

Favorite bar to watch football at. It gets pretty Packed on Sunday’s, but no matter how busy the service is great! There are tons of tv so every game is always on. They don’t serve food but you can bring any food you want in.

Great, fun sports bar, open air feeling. The bartenders are very witty, and fun with a great group of regulars. But beware, the cocktails are stiff.

Good cheap beer. They played the Dodgers on the TV and the Steelers game. So overall pretty good. Bad part is they don’t serve food.

This place gets a 4 star… The bartender however on 7÷18÷15 gets a 2 star. We were in the middle of a ‘pub crawl bday thing’ and i ordered 2 ‘car bombs’ which usually pisses off bartenders for whatever reason this guy just acts like a jerk, reluctantly makes drinks and poured 2 other vodka sodas when i only asked for 1. Not to put him in an all out rage i paid and left. Fuck polk street bars, dont know why i gave them A second chance

Cool joint. I’ve gone twice now. First time was crowded but not too bad. Second time was nearly empty which was fine for our group of 7! Plenty of seating. The bartender was nice and there’s plenty of TVs!

My friends and I came into the bar during the early evening so naturally there were few people on a typical cold and windy SF evening. Our group was cold at our table so we tried to close a window… Minutes later the doorman, Jason, aggressively approached us and yelled to keep the windows open. We asked the rationale for not being able to open them and his response? «Because I said so». We asked our waitress as well who also referred us to ask the doorman– moments later our waitress and the doorman were laughing together glaring in our direction! Jason was texting on his phone during his entire shift, paying little attention to guests freely entering the bar. However, when a friend and I left the bar to pick up sandwiches and returned 5 minutes later, we were greeted with, «I don’t recognize your faces, IDs to enter». My boyfriend also asked Jason again separately why paying customers couldn’t close the windows and his response? That we wouldn’t be able to close the windows«because he said so» and even called him, I quote, «you pay to be a jackass». Becoming unbearable, we wanted to leave but we couldn’t since the group was gathering for a birthday. I asked Jason again, kindly, if it would be possible to close the windows. I was talked down to and threaten to be kicked out of the bar! I’m not one to write Unilocal reviews but I highly discourage anyone from spending time or money at this bar. My friends and I were extremely uncomfortable in this aggressive hostile environment, and appalled that customers giving the bar business would be treated with such unprofessional disrespect. I’ve work in the service industry many years, and this is clearly unacceptable employee behavior. It’s also clear to me that management is not concerned with their guests experience because I can’t imagine justifying Jason’s employment.

I was with a few girls at around 5 pm and we tried to close the front windows as we were sitting up front and Jason, the doorman wouldn’t let us. I asked why as they were so cold and he said«because I said so». I then suggested to him that we pay to be here(for a birthday party) and he laughed in my face and said that I also pay to be a jackass… I don’t understand why he was this way, but with some people it isn’t worth it… Needless to say it was a terrible experience from an otherwise great bar…

Best Carolina Panthers bar in town! I was in town during the playoff game and wanted to watch with fellow Panthers fans and I was not disappointed. A great group of people and a fun bar. Bloody Mary’s are spicy like I prefer them and they have great beer specials.

If I’m on Polk and itching for a game, chances are I’m watching here at Green’s. It’s not glamorous or the finest sports bar by any means, but the fact they throw in game audio and host a hell of a crowd make for an interesting, yet divey ambiance. Bonus points for having reasonably priced drinks and a fun tap selection. A sports bar is no bar without a decent slew of TVs, which I’m happy to report Greens has plenty of. There is no shortage of sports memorabilia, most of which are found in photo frames caked throughout the walls. How none of the images are soaked in beer is beyond me. The bartenders are usually a jolly ol bunch, so as long as you can get to the bar. When there are bar crawls(I can *only* imagine how insane St. Patty’s Day is), the place basically has arms and legs hanging out of the windows. If you’re claustrophobic in any way, Greens might not be the place for you. Last I checked the place doesn’t serve food, which is a bummer for you kids lookin for wings and calorically rich bar food. That’s not why the star rating is minus –1, it’s because I nearly lost my lunch walking in their bathrooms. Next time I want to reenact a scene from the Walking Dead(complete with smell), I’ll be sure to walk in there.

If I lived in Russian Hill I’d be a frequent visitor through the NBA season(aka 7 months a year). Several TVs and the bartenders are extremely accommodating to your game of choice.
