Ive had a very good experience with Em. He’s very professional and has an amazing work ethic. I always make appointments to ensure that I get in and out because of my hectic work schedule and I appreciate the fact that he’s always on time.

Got a fresh cut, legit spot for a reasonable price for the city. Great barbers and good music. They cut me and my friends’ hair within the spam of an hour and took us even though they had appts. Small shop with a good feel.

Got one of the cleanest cuts of my life from Dax there when I was in town from Seattle. Straight quality in their craft. Will be back next time I’m in SF. It is a black barbershop as the other guy said and if you ain’t been to one before it could be a shock.

Usually people only write reviews of places when they are upset and pissed with something so I at least want to put the other perspective so you can make the decision yourself on if you want to. There are a lot of people that come in and out of this place. They are always booked with people and always have the chairs filled and people waiting for cuts. That is not the sign of a 2 star place. Once you actually come here a few times you will get to know the barbers and find out that you need to call and set up an appointment to get a chair seat. The other thing is yes they are really stand offish here. I think its because of the open nature of the store. Plenty of people come in off the street and they treat everyone the same no nonsense type of way. So if you come in looking confused and asking for a cut they usually won’t say shit to you. You have to sit down and they will get to you eventually. Its just how it works. This a true black barbershop so you have to get used to way things are done. There will be a lot of talking, there will be a lot of loud hip hop and R&b played on the speakers and you will be stared at by everyone if you are new. Its the one thing I hate about barbershops like this and why they lose a star. A little customer service would go a long way. However if you can get past this they actually do really great cuts. Whenever I have an important interview or meeting and I can’t make it to Attention to Detail this is always my second choice. There are just so few places that cut black male hair well in this city that you have to stick to the places that can do it well. I can’t speak for other races and how they fare here so just being real here. The prices are normal. You are looking at about 40 dollars for most fades and cuts. Thats just how it works in SF. You pay for what you get. If you want a 10 or 15 dollar cut go over to supercuts and get your shit wrecked. It took me a while to get used to EM and the rest of the crew but once I did i found it was a quality establishment. You just have to get to know them, go often and you will gain respect and can show up anytime a get a cut eventually. Black males. We don’t have a lot of options here. This is one of them. For everyone else take a shot and see if you like it. If not there are literally 100 other places you can go in San Francisco.

My roommate went here and got the worst haircut he’s ever received. After telling them he wanted a 3 on the sides and a 5 on top he received a choppy looking 3 all over. Not only was the hair cut bad they destroyed his neck. Clipper scratches all over and even had a few that were bleeding. I’ll be calling tomorrow to speak to who ever is in charge because to pay 30 bucks for a terrible hair cut as well being scratched up all over is entirely unacceptable. I wish there was a way to rate zero stars.

The cut was good, at least for me it was quite simply but the differentiating factor for me at the end of the day was the fact that they charged me $ 25. No fade. No part. Just a shave down to the stubble. Maybe that’s just SF, but it seemed a little pricey at the end of the day. All in all, it was a nice spot(with great chairs and TV’s) but I wasn’t impressed with the pricing.

Highly unsatisfied with my haircut after providing specific instructions and this barber choosing to proceed as she pleased. I NEVER wear asked for thin sideburns thinly and prefer my line to be natural and not created by the clippers. I asked her to keep my line natural, as it was upon my arrival, and she completely took away my edges and left me looking in the mirror at someone I did not recognize. Unforgivable.

Worst barber I’ve ever been too. Guy trying it cut my hair was being aggressive threatening and said if I didn’t have $ 80 I should leave. Not to mention the Unilocal deal said that it’s was only 35 $. Big time liar all he does it insult and Demands for money When it’s offering on Unilocal a coupon whatever you guys do don’t go to this. Don’t go 342 jones sf, sf for cutting air he thinks he runs baller… Probably a drug dear outta of parole. Worst hair cut This company will only lose money if Hey have This thug trying to get confrontational with customer

Not sure what all the negative reviews are about. Show me another shop in SF with great barbers, flat screen tvs always tuned to ESPN, takes credit card, and where you can usually find parking spots out front. All the barbers are made cool and remember what kind of cut you want. Wish I could give them a 6th star for beats that are always on point. A bit pricier than some other spots but we all know rent ain’t cheap in SF.

DONOTGOTOTHISBARBERSHOP. Would have given them 0 stars if that was possible. Told the barber I wanted a fade & to only shape up the top of my hair since I put it in curls. The guy ended up cutting half my hair off, now it’s too short to put in curls. Also my fade was uneven. Hopefully things work out better for you of you decide to visits this barber shop but if I were you I would go elsewhere. Now I got to wear a hat for a couple of weeks. I should of got a cut in Oakland.

The owner Em is a skilled and talented barber. I was so happy to give his little barber shop a chance! When I entered the barber shop I was greeted by no one. However, every one inside the shop just stared at me. It wasn’t until I sat down before Em asked if I needed a hair cut in the most un-welcoming manner possible. Em was not available to cut my hair at the time, because he’s so desirable. However the guy«Q» was free. This man was the worst! It’s been almost six weeks since my visit there, and I still can not get over how horrible he was! — This man asked me to comb my own hair! My hair is filled with supper tight small curls. I thought he wanted me to just get it combed out a bit, so it wouldn’t be such a task for him, but no! When I finished combing my hair, without any additional combing he just went to cutting my hair! I have never had a barber cut my hair before it was completely combed out! Because this fatal mistake my hair is significantly shorter in the middle when I wear it curly as I usually do! My experience at this place was awful, probably the my worst barber experience. The people working were extremely rude and unprofessional! I would not recommend this place to any one.
