Momentan ist es geschlossen :-( Und leider kann ich nicht sagen wie lange. Echt schade. Ich hoffe er öffnet bald wieder. Ich möchte die Pie’s auch einmal probieren.

Edit: Closed permanently :/ This place is amazing. Their walk up is still closed(won’t be open this month) but you can call and get catering.

Good for a quick grab-n-go meal. I quite like their pot pies. Especially the Chicken and Mushroom. Hot, savory, crispy. One gets you 60−75% full.

I was slightly turned off by the sight of pot pies baking under heat lamps but was still willing to stop in here since it was raining heavily outside. I got the classic chicken pot pie which was just ‘meh’. Come here if you’re looking for a quick, warm lunch, but don’t expect too much.

My husband saw the sign for this place and wanted to try it. I was skeptical as the storefront looked kind of dumpy, but I saw it had a decent 3.5 stars on Unilocal and the pictures looked good, so we went. The pies looked pretty decent but did not taste good at all. I had the classic chicken, my husband had something BBQ, but our experiences were the same — the crust was mushy, the sauce was watery, and they were lacking in flavor. Total disappoint, especially since I love pot pie. $ 6 for a pretty small pot pie is not that cheap either, the ones in the frozen aisle at the grocery store are better and cheaper. Their employees are nice though.

Classic Chicken Pot Pie was wonderful. Some postings have noted that they are a little dry, but that’s what makes them portable and at $ 6 it is not much more than a Quarter Pounder, but much healthier. It’s a great lunch on the go!

I was so excited to wander by The Cravery before heading to AMC for a movie. I’ve heard about this place, but haven’t had the chance to stop by before then. The timing was perfect: 5:30, so I was ready for dinner. Lucky for me, there was no wait. Less lucky for me, the Chicken Mushroom potpie that I wanted had been sitting in the display for way too long. While it had a delicious creamy filling with good chunks of chicken and some mushroom, I was disappointed that the crust was so mushy. It held up to my handheld eating, but it was by no means crisp or flaky. I would definitely return though and try one when it is fresh out of the oven. I’d also like to try one of the Classic Chicken ones because other Unilocalers seem to enjoy it so much. My Chicken Mushroom potpie was not cheap at $ 6, and it was kind of small, but it was definitely still tasty.

This review is for their crepes: They have crepes here on the weekend. They’re a bit expensive but the skin of the crêpe is made really well. I like it crispy but not too crispy… still soft on the inside but not mushy. Lol– hard to explain but she does it well. I believe it’s the same wonders of Icebee(right next door). Not a lot of topping to choose from but the owner is very kind, she’s happy and kind. I just wished it wasn’t as expensive. I think it’s more than J-town’s.

Pot pie was a bit dry. The pie crust wasn’t very flaky, I had to use a knife to cut the pies. I think the pies have been sitting in the heater for too long. FYI: no seating, so you have to take it to go.

Whether you’re just walking by on your way to the Metreon or your coworker decided to torture everyone in the office by bringing one in for lunch, the smell alone is enough to draw you in. So amazing. There is no seating at this establishment, there’s a sign that says that there is seating next door, but I have yet to sit there. I always just take it to-go. I have tried many of their different selections, but my all time favorite and the one that I keep going back to is just their CLASSICCHICKEN. Disclaimer, these pot pies are super hot and you will burn your mouth if you’re not careful. I understand the urge to just shove this pie into your mouth once you get the box open, but I do advise you to open it up and wait a few minutes, the insides are always piping hot. You can order them by themselves, or order them as a meal with a soda and a side. My advice for newbies, KISS, Keep It Simple Stupid, and just go with the CLASSICCHICKEN, super amazing and you just can’t go wrong! I seriously have to learn the surrounding stores, whenever someone asks me where it is, the only explanation I can give is «it’s right by the good vibrations store» eeps!

This place is the pot pie paradise. It is very good food for the price, and their combo meals are well-thought out. I had only the classic chicken pot pie so far and in my opinion it was truly delicious. I am surely going to go back to try their other flavors! The negative aspect though is that you cannot sit down(the sitting option is next door) but that makes it the perfect and quick take-out option. They put the pies in these little boxes which surprisingly keep them quite warm. They are an easy, tasty and practical meal — great for lunch and dinner. Plus you can get a nice combo(with soup or salad) if you are very hungry!

I bought a $ 10 groupon for this place. It’s very close to the Metreon. It’s not a place you can sit down and dine. But I read you can sit down next door. I made the mistake of going the around 7:30 pm when you have to choose for the pot pies that are left. But when you buy two, you get one free. I was disappointed they ran out of some of the flavors I wanted. I chose the classic chicken. It was just okay. Not savory at all but very dry. I suspect from being heated from that lamp all day. I’m not sure I’d go back and I’m glad I had a Groupon. I m curious though what the pepperoni and sausage pot pie tastes like. Still not sure about this place. May give it one more chance to redeem itself. Update: I just tried the beef pot pie and I must say it was delicious and that’s even been in the fridge for a day. It was very tasty and I can say so far, my favorite.

Stopped by for lunch and got a combo to go. It was during the lunch rush with a convention going on across the street, so overall there was a small wait, but it was reasonable. Service was good. The food was okay. The Crack’d Black Pepper Steak pot pie crust was not exactly flaky, but more moist. The filling was okay but did not have the kick that I expected from the cracked pepper name. Not a bad food option while you’re visiting the convention center.

Before my recent trip to SF, I had never heard of the Cravery nor of the delicious pot pies they sold. And so, I looked forward to trying some new and different: pot pies that are held/can be eaten like a sandwich. I met my friend on his lunch break from his conference, and not surprisingly there were 2 people waiting to order, while others were waiting for their food when we arrived. ORDER: You can choose to order the pot pies ala carte, OR they have 3 combo meals you can select from. I chose the combo #1, which includes the pot pie, cole slaw or kidney beans, and a drink priced at $ 7.75. NOTE: There is no eating/dining area at this location. They have a sign posted that seating is available at the business that is next door. FOOD: I ended up choosing the chicken and mushroom pot pie(since my original choice of pulled pork was currently sold out), kidney beans, and a coke zero to go. Firstly, the pot pie is delicious! It was quite good and tasty honestly. However, I’m glad I ordered a combo because I’m not sure the pot pie alone would have satisfied my hunger. Overall, I was satisfied with my food. SERVICE: I would have given my review greater than 3 stars, but was very, very disappointed with the service during my visit. Firstly, I will state that there was only 1 girl responsible for the front area… i.e. taking orders, cashiering, filling orders, while another worker(a male) had the duties of cooking the pies. The girl was polite, in fact she was very sweet, but she didn’t have a clue whatsoever on how to multi-task, possessed no organizational skills at all, and had to repeatedly ask customers what they ordered so she could pack it for them. There were multiple customers waiting before me, and they seemed to be quite frustrated from waiting such a lengthy time for their food. While I was waiting in line and for my own food, I observed the girl just taking orders and ringing up customers but never stopping to fill any orders that were already taken. Hence the multiple waiting customers. In fact, the chicken and mushroom pot pie was not my first choice, I wanted a pulled pork pie instead. Again, this setback occurred because she was not taking into account the pies that were prepared and cooked, versus pies that had yet to be prepped and placed in the oven. She had given the last pulled pork pot pie to another waiting customer, thus forcing me to make another selection, OR wait which I was unwilling to do since I was starving at this point. Bottom Line: Overall, the meal was memorable but the service was forgettable. Not sure if I will be «craving» another meal from this business next time I’m in SF.

Just got back from picking up and eating my first Creamery Pot Pie. My coworker came up with the idea to give them a try, and the first words I had for her while devouring my Crack’d Black Pepper Steak were: «This is really delicious, and for that price! This will be part of my regular lunch menu now!» This sums up my experience. Portion is big enough to satisfy a «normal» sized belly(we always complain about many lunch sandwiches being double the size of what a normal sized person needs). Very tasty, can’t wait to try out other pot pies on their menu!

A takeout place that only serves pot pies? Why didn’t I think of this? Getting pot pies seems to be a tradition for my crew when we’re in San Francisco, and The Cravery didn’t disappoint this year. Prices are reasonable, the pot pies(at least in my experience) are always fresh, and their cookies rock too. I docked a star because it’d be great if the dude working there seemed to be even remotely excited to be serving up such amazing pot pies. Oh, and it’d be nice if they gave away silverware that wasn’t the absolute bottom of the barrel plastic junk. They’re open until 10:00 on Friday and Saturday, so if you’re wandering around the area hungry at night debating between Denny’s, Mel’s, and POTPIES… Do the smart thing and choose pot pies.

Having walked past this place many times, I finally got off my butt and checked the website to see if they had vegetarian-friendly pot pies. I was happy to find this location carried a curry vegetable pie(contains dairy though, so sadly no options for the vegans). My friend ordered the cracked pepper steak pie and the mushroom chicken pie, while I ordered the vegetable curry pie and a mango juice. The price is very decent for lunch and quite affordable. While there’s no seats inside Cravery itself, you’re welcome to sit over in Ice Bee, the frozen yogurt place next door(which is apparently owned by the same people). Two complaints right off the bat. First, the pie I ordered(vegetable curry) wasn’t available right away. They had none in the«ready-to-go» display case. He had to get a pie out of the freezer and put it in the oven, and would take at least five minutes to cook. Either curry vegetable is so rarely ordered they don’t keep them ready to serve, or they’re ordered so much they run out quickly. Not sure which but I was a bit annoyed since my lunch wasn’t ready to go right away, while my coworker was handed both his pies at once(and then had to stand there holding them and waiting for me while mine cooked). Second, the mango juice I wanted was also sold out. Really? Did we get there that late in the week or something or was there no order placed for refills of cans of mango juice? They did have peach(which wasn’t actually displayed or else I would have asked for that initially) so I was happy with the change, but it still smacked to me of «urm… why was everything I wanted to get not ready or sold out?» The pies themselves were very good and tasty and worth the price. Not too greasy, well-seasoned, flavourful, and quite filling. And if you eat at Ice Bee’s, you can finish off your pie with a great frozen yogurt dessert. I’d definitely go back and have it again, although not very often given the limited choice I have being vegetarian. If they got more flavours of pies that are veggie friendly, I’d be inclined to go a bit more often.

These pot pies are kinda like a hot pockets since they retain their shape and contents(Chix/Mushroom) fairly well on the go, aka it’s not liquidy like Swanson’s pot pie. These are probably better on the go walking/shopping around SOMA because the crust is just so rich and buttery, so you know to burn those calories.( ) Be careful as the pot pie fillings are hot, trying to eat one while driving those downhill roundabouts exiting the Mission St garage can be hazardous to your Unilocal
