Wonderful texture of biscuit, rich and testy. Strawberry is fresh, testy. Cream is … you may choose. We had whipped cream. Very delicious. Not expensive at all. I would definitely come back and recommend to my friends.

Ordered a tres leches cake with fresh strawberries for a birthday. The cake was moist and so delicious! I kind of waited until last minute to order (the day before the birthday), but they were happy to filly order and the cake was ready when promised.

I was looking to get a cake for my nieces 2^nd birthday and decided to go with The Cake House because they offered the best price for what I wanted (a 3 layer cake decorated like one I had seen online).
Although I don’t think the cake was amazingly delicious, they did a great job of recreating the design I requested. All in all, I would definitely come back for future cake needs.

Guess if I really need to do a baking project next time, I’ll just walk here and grab a few essentials.
They carry a lot of different pans, molds, icing, etc. I didn’t look this time but I should see if they have fondant or marzipan. (I prefer the latter.)
They have balloons. Loved it… now let me tell you how we put three filled balloons onto the back of a motorcycle. Two words. Trash bags. LOL
Service = helpful, friendly enough.
Prices = reasonable.

We got the tres leches cake based on Unilocal reviews, and I was so disappointed. The cake was so dry inside and not flavorful at all. I will not be coming back fasho!

Less than ordinary looking bakery/​party supply store… AMAZING TRES LECHES CAKE!

You would never guess from the looks of this place. I came here on the recommendation of my students and I have to hand it to them — they were right!!! First their cakes are reasonably priced… I couldn’t afford that much. I wasn’t sure what I was going to get, but when I saw my daughter’s smash cake (which I ended up eating) well, I almost cried. It was beautiful. A beautiful underwater theme and everyone at the party was amazed. I got the tres leches ½ sheet for everyone else and everyone loved it. My daughter’s cake was a white cake with fresh strawberries and this was absolutely delicious. I have already decided that all my cake needs will be done here. They are wonderful, respectful, reasonably priced and the best tasting cakes I have had, oh, yeah and whoever did my daughter’s cake is an artist and needs to be seriously commended.

They do a great job with their cakes and they taste good as well.
I was impressed with the clown cake they made for my daughter’s first birthday (pictured above); it was beyond what I expected!

OH MY, this is a great place for Tres Leche! They also do really wonderful decorations on the cake, and the prices are fair! We got ours with whipped cream frosting and a fresh banana filling – YUM, YUM, YUM!!!
I only gave it four stars because there’s a better one at Esperanto, but it’s not too easy or cheap to get them to make you a sheet cake!

All the great reviews are true! This is the first time I buy a sheet of tres leches and wasn’t sure where to go. Folks, this is the place. It was delicious and way better than the restaurant versions. Guillermo, I think he’s one of the owners, automatically offered the whipped cream frosting. You have a choice of fillings, but I only wanted the authentic cake. Place your orders here and you won’t be disappointed. Just make sure to carefully spell out any writing you’d like on the cake.

OK — there are millions of Hispanics in California so you’d think it would be pretty easy to find a bakery which makes the FABULOUS Tres Leches Cake; a dessert staple for most Latinos!
Surprise! It took a lot of online research, mostly through Google to find a bakery which makes this cake. My first sample was from Dianda’s, an Italian Bakery in the Mission district which sells Tres Leches cake by the slice. YUCK. I was so disappointed that they were trying to pass off this bland, super dry crap as «tres leches’. So I started to call different Brazilian & Mexican restaurants hoping to get a good lead. I was referred to Safeway (wow). So I traipsed on down to my local Safeway and had a sample taste. Conclusion: So-​So, mediocre, not bad, yet not great. Would my quest for the perfect tres leches ever be fulfilled??? So during ANOTHER Google search, I somehow stumbled across a Unilocal review for the CAKE HOUSE.
I dial them up and order a cake to sample since they do not sell it by the slice. Conclusion: THEIR TRES LECHES CAKE ROCKS!!! It was the perfectly moist, dense, not-​too-​sweet dream cake I’d been hunting down! This bakery/​party goods store run by an extremely nice Peruvian couple is not much to look at and way out by the Cow Palace, but who cares? They make an awesome cake and as an added bonus run a little homemade empanada biz on the side. So if you want the best, hop in your car and head to the Cake House. You will not be disappointed.
Insider tip: ask for the cake to be frosted with whipped cream, not buttercream. The buttercream frosting overpowers the great flavor of the cake. If you you like fillings, they offer banana, strawberry (when in season) and pineapple. Enjoy!

On my quest to find the tres leches cake «lo mas delicioso», I decided to give this place a go. I wasn’t disappointed, but am still on my quest. For those not familiar with tres leches, it’s a cake that’s soaked in condensed, evaporated and whole milk, hence it’s name, Tres Leches. It’s super moist, and is not über sweet, as many American cakes are. They do offer many a filling, but since I called on the phone, I wasn’t offered any of them. I am still searching for that irresistible confection, but this wasn’t an unsatisfying pitstop.
