Teresa is great. My wife banished me from the $ 20 barber that I used to go to downtown. Major upgrade. Teresa takes the time to make everything just right and offers a free minor touch-​up in between cuts. I am notoriously awful at making appointments, but Teresa always finds a way to squeeze me in on short notice. Highly recommended.

Teresa is an artist, she will make sure that your hair is perfect. It is not just a wash, haircut, blow dry — in and out in my half hour allotment. She is detail oriented, carefully double checking everything before sending you on your way. Knowledgeable, professional, and friendly, Teresa is the first stylist that cared about my hair as much as me!

I’ve been in San Francisco for almost 11 years and I kept relying on my childhood stylist for my haircuts since December 2011 — not the mention that my childhood stylist lives about 3000 miles away from SF!
On December 30, 2011, I finally meant my amazing stylist here in the city — Teresa! I have been wanting to get my hair cut short and I totally trusted her without even knowing what to expect. She was AMAZING. She spent 1.5 hours to make it perfect and now the amount of compliments that I receive everyday is amazing! (I have already visited her one more time and I can’t wait for my next hair cut)
I just LOVE LOVE LOVE her work! 11 years of wait, trials and patience was all worth it!

I followed Teresa from her last salon to the one she’s in now, on Ivy and Octavia. If she moves to New York, I’ll fly out. Hawaii? I’ll swim there. When you find someone who is this good with hair *and* so much fun to come and see… I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Teresa knows hair (it sounds trite, but it is true, and I have suffered through too many stylists who do NOT have that particular gift), and she knows what is going to work on you. She listens, then gives you what you wanted with the perfect creative spin that you never even envisioned. The cut I have now looks better every day. She cut it when I said I wanted to go wavy and air-​dry, but I blew it straight this morning and yep… it looked great that way too! How did she do that? Sorry, Teresa, you are stuck with me. Teresa is the only person who has been able to identify a red hue that looks good on me *and* that stays put! I get compliments on my color all the time.

Teresa Rice managed the hair styles for my wedding this weekend. There were 9 women (including me, the bride) that had to be dressed and ready by 2 p.m. on Saturday. Teresa kept us all on schedule and made sure that everyone walked out the door looking beautiful and feeling confident and relaxed. I brought her pictures of wedding styles that I liked and she took the time to really understand what I wanted and how she could translate that to my face and wedding style. I was so pleased with her innovative hair style and I received a lot of compliments from my photographers and friends on the ‘do! Thank you Teresa for helping make my wedding day so special!

I have never been happier than when I actually go to a real hairdresser and get my hair done by a professional, and not just any professional, I choose Teresa Rice for all my hair needs. And boy do I have needs, I always try to destroy my hair when she is not looking then come slinking in for her to repair the damages, and guess what she DOES! And with a smile on her face every time.

Teresa is an amazing stylist. After a horrible colour and cut at the hair school (I know, I know, what did I expect), Teresa was able to correct the colour AND give me a great cut! Since then she has cut and coloured my hair several times, always with the same high level of attention to detail and tailored to my personality. And did I mention she gives the BEST scalp massages ever? Because she does! Happy that she is back at Blo Salon in Hayes Valley.

I’m was not one to really take notice of my hair, that was until the day I met Teresa. After she cut it my eyes were opened, this woman knows hair, moreover how your hair should look to suit your personality. Teresa really takes pride in her work, and loves what she does, this becomes obvious after your first experience. Be warned, go once and you will be hooked forever!

I strayed to another stylist and she graciously undid the damage. Teresa is also a very pleasant person, which only makes the experience better. I’m not the best Unilocaler. I’m not a writer, and when I do write I’m not funny. The rest of y’all deserve props for your fabulous reviews, while mine will be more basic. But the service I recommend is NOT basic! It is essential, ego-​boosting and unparalleled! My favorite stylist, Teresa, has moved to HBR Studio from Blo Salons (you should check out her reviews from Blo). You can book easiest with her by calling 415−412−1854. Whatever Teresa does to my hair seems like it was MEANT to happen: I have thick, wavy, unruly hair with about 1,000 little cowlicks all over the place. My natural color is a natural, earthy, dull blond that longs for warming up. Teresa makes me feel like a supermodel, and her cuts are the only styles I’ve ever been able to replicate (ok, maybe only to 65% of the way to how she would do it herself) when I go to dry my hair the day after she cuts it. I used to have little fits and tantrums trying to style my hair (ask my husband, who would run from the house). But now I am always so happy and confident that I will feel like myself, only better. I cannot recommend her enough, and I look forward to telling all my colleagues that she will now be just a few blocks from the office!
